PART 1!

I was running through the forest, running away from the demon slayers chasing me.

"DEMON! GET BACK HERE!"

They shouted after me, quickly catching up.

"IM NOT A DEMON!"

I kept running, until I realized I couldn't touch the floor.

"How..interesting. A human that looks like a demon."

The boy spoke, studying my face.

I took in his appearance, noticing his extremely pale skin, and big pale blue irises, and deep red sclera's.

"I should report you to him, but something's telling me not to."

He spoke calmly, his fingers caressing my cheek, under my eye.

"Perhaps..hmm, no, I already have enough siblings. So maybe.. you'd like to be my friend?"

He questioned, and my eyes widened, before I nodded, hugging him.

I felt him tense under the hug, and I awkwardly started to let go, before his arms hesitantly wrapped around my torso, hugging me back.

I smiled widely, completely forgetting I didn't even know him.

"We can play, but being out in the sun hurts me, so we'll play outside after the sun goes down."

He spoke, and I nodded, looking down at the demon slayers.

"Want me to deal with them?"

He questioned, and I shook my head, jumping down, before landing harshly on one of their necks, snapping it in half instantly.

The person cried out in agonizing pain, as the rest all charged at me.

Rui then jumped down, causing them to halt in their tracks.

"ANOTHER DEMON! KILL IT!"

They shouted, charging at him.

He grabbed me by my wrist, pulling me close to him as they were all sliced to shreds.

"What's your name?"

He asks me, making eye contact.

"L/N Y/N. You?"

"Rui."

"Well, Rui, wanna be best friends instead?"

"Hm? What's that?"

"It's like a friend, but they're way closer, and better!"

"Ok, Y/N L/N, I, Rui, now take you as my..best, friend."

"And I, Y/N L/N, hereby take you, Rui, as my best friend! Yay!"

"Huh..this isn't so bad..maybe not all humans are bad."
