Double Standards

I slowly wake up to find myself in a tiny dark space, there was little light coming in through a single hole at the top corner allowing me to see a little
I look around at myself and can see smashed up glass where I'm laying along with needles which are probably used

I have no idea how long I was out for.. I have no idea if James knows what's going on or if he knows I've been kidnapped.. again
Being here again has brought back all of the memories from before but I pray this time they'll keep their hands off of me especially since I'm pregnant

I can faintly hear some laughter coming from underneath me so I'm assuming I'm upstairs
I can hear Beth's obnoxiously loud voice too but I can't make out what she's saying
At least I know for certain that it is Beth who's orchestrated all of this once again

The sound of metal clanging downstairs pulls me out of my thoughts followed shortly by a roar of laughter before it sounds like a herd of elephants making their way up the stairs
The footsteps and laughter continues until I can see shadows moving about from underneath the door and the sound of a lock and key being unlocked os louder then anything as it's right up against this door

They slide across 3 bolts before the doors flung open with a loud bang
The sudden sunlight blinding my eyes briefly making it extremely hard to see but that only causes Beth to laugh at me

"Awh look at poor little Riley" Beth gleefully spits
"I mean it wasn't hard to get you to be honest, James going away leaving you all alone" Beth continues
"Wow for once you have nothing to say" Maisie says in disbelief causing her and Beth to laugh again

I keep my eyes to the ground since I was hoping that doing so I wouldn't get more shit from them but I mean it's Beth and Maisie so the only thing I could do is pray they get bored
One of the guys started to walk towards me gaining my attention and I notice that he's carrying a plate of food but before he could place it down for me Beth knocks it out of his hand causing the burning hot meal to burn parts of my skin as it landed all over me and the floor

"She needs to eat" the man states only gaining an roll of Beth's eyes
"No she can starve, she hasn't been any fun today" Beth snarls
"She's pregnant, she needs food" the man sternly replies but all that does is make Beth even more angry at me

"Not if I have anything to do with it" Beth spits whilst attempting to kick my stomach but this man thankfully holds her far away so she isn't able to do so
"Dude that's taking this thing way too far" he snarls at Beth
"Ugh you're so annoying, I knew you'd be too soft for this!" Beth snaps before storming off out of the room with Maisie quickly running after her like a lost sheep

"Thank you" I softly say looking up towards the man who stopped Beth
It felt strange though.. like I had already looked into his eyes before but with his face covered up I didn't recognise his green eyes or his voice
"Can someone go get her some more food please" he demands causing two men to scurry off

It wasn't long before they came back with water and a hot meal for me and stayed with me until I had finished but as soon as I had finished the empty plate and glass was taken from me before a few of them mumbled "I'm so sorry" causing me to furrow my eyebrows
"We need to lock you back up in here" one of the men from the back announces making me nod my head
I look back at the tiny space I'm being crammed into trying to move some of the needles out the way so they wouldn't stab me before slowly placing my body down on the floor waiting for them to lock those doors

The same doors that'll allow me to have my freedom
The same doors keeping me from James..

"How long have I been here for?" I whisper to the green eyed man as he knelt down
"It's almost been 2 days" he sighs before giving me a sympathetic look and gently closing the doors

Back into the darkness I go..
