Double Standards

We were watching everyone's routines for the competition and Luca and I are performing ours last, James got the warm welcome I knew he would of once he saw his old friends
James' arms are wrapped around my torso as we stood just off from the group and I couldn't help but notice Luca looking over

"Can we have the group of 4 now please so Luca, West, Thalia and Giselle come and show us what you've got" Miss Kate shouts out while writing down on her clipboard
The music started playing and it was a song James and I had danced to all those years ago making me smile to myself

"I remember this song" James whispers in my ear as his arms squeeze me a little tighter
"So do I" I reply as I turn around to face him to plant a kiss in James' lips
The music comes to a stop and their dance was absolutely incredible and if we don't win this competition then I don't know how we will

"Next up is Luca and Riley, how has the routine come along?" Miss Kate questioned as her eyes went from both of us
"It's gone alright" Luca mumbles before heading into the centre of the room making me follow his lead

I was nervous to be honest.. I mean we haven't exactly practiced apart from that one day we came up with the routine so let's hope Miss Kate and everyone else is impressed otherwise we're fucked
I give Miss Kate a slight nod to let her know we were ready and I put everything I could into this routine and I believe it paid off since a could hear a few squeals coming from Thalia and Giselle

"That is incredible, I knew you guys could figure it out" Miss Kate beams as we finish
I take a look around the studio and see smiles on everyone's faces even James' however his looked fake.. I have no idea what happened for his mood to change but I hope it wasn't this duet

I make my way over to James and his icy exterior only hardens as I try and put my arm around him
"What's wrong?" I whisper causing James to scoff and shake his head
"You're so oblivious" James scoffs causing me to furrow my brows at him
"About what? What have I missed?" I ask trying to keep my voice low so I don't draw attention to us

"Right that's it for the day guys, go home and enjoy your evening! Keep up the good work!" Miss Kate announces and without a second thought James grabs my hand and practically drags me out of the studio
It wasn't until we were at mine that James finally spoke

"Why didn't you tell me?" James spits
"Tell you what?" I ask causing James to shake his head at me again
"About Luca, it's very obvious something is going on" James spits again before turning to read my face
"Nothing is going on? I told him about you" I sternly say

"Hmm yeah sure, I don't think he got that memo" James replies
"I'm not doing this" I scoff before grabbing my bag from the backseat and heading inside without uttering a single word
Why should I put up with that for? If something was going on why would I allow James to come to the studio?

This boy doesn't make sense.. we had an incredible time and now he gets angry at me because of a duet or it's the fact he believes Luca likes me but I can't stop anyone from liking me
I get upstairs to my bedroom and throw my bag across the room before bending over to untie my shoes but a sudden urge to throw up stops me from doing so

I run as fast as I could to the toilet and just about make it, I'm never usually sick and I've got no idea why I am now..
Every time I finish and try to stand up I get the urge to be sick all over again, this lasts for about 20 minutes before I'm able to jump in the shower and freshen up quickly before chucking some soft pjs on and jumping straight into bed

I didn't want to see anyone nor did I want to talk or see James and the fact I'm in this house alone still clearly shows he's driven off to his only causing me to be even more hurt

Hurt by the fact he's honestly think I'd hurt him that way..
Hurt by the fact that even after all this time he still doesn't trust me
