I woke up to a knock on the door and James arms wrapped around my body tightly, we must of both fallen asleep as soon as I sat on James' lap
I signal for Jonah to come in and start to wake James up which doesn't take much since he's a light sleeper
"Sorry to wake you guys, if you're ready for a session with the therapist I can send her in now" Jonah explains
"Yeah let us just wake up a little bit" James sighs before stretching himself, i grab a water bottle and take a sip and then I check the time
We were only asleep for 40 minutes but the times you sleep for only a little bit you always wake up feeling worse then before
"Right we're ready I think" James chuckles
"Alright, she's been here for a few years now so I know that she'll be good to you" Jonah starts to explain before opening the door to signal to the woman she could come in
"Her name is Beth and she's honestly so lovely" Jonah introduces her as she was turning to walk in
It was Beth.. the Beth that caused us so much drama
The same Beth who broke into my house, beat James Piper and I up
The same Beth who I found wrapped in James' arms the night I left this stupid town
She's a therapist now acting as if she cares about peoples feelings
"I'm good she can leave" I scoff causing Jonah to be confused
"Wait you guys know each other, I told you their names and you didn't say anything" Jonah explains
"No I just wanted to see my Jamesy again, it's been a while hasn't it" Beth says in a pathetic stupid high pitch voice
"I wanted to keep it that way" James scoffs
"You weren't saying that to me a few weeks ago" Beth sings
"You what?" I blurt out
"Awh he didn't tell you? James and I got back together for a few years, we broke up 8 months ago however we still saw each other just without the label" Beth replies
"You know what Beth, get the fuck out" James snarls
"Oh I see you didn't want to tell Riley the truth" Beth spits her now overly happy demeanour has now changed to a quite frustrated one
"James you should tell Riley the truth" Beth says before turning around on her heels and walking out the room
"I'm so sorry I didn't know you all knew each other and there was a bunch of drama" Jonah says before leaving to follow Beth
"What the fuck was she talking about?" I ask
"Nothing Riley just drop it" James sighs
"Was she telling the truth?" I question
"Uh yeah she was but we only dated for almost a year" James explains
"And you didn't think to fucking tell me?" I shout
"What about me knowing the truth? What was she talking about then?" I ask
"Nothing" James sighs "I need to go get some air, I'll be back" James continues before standing up and leaving
What could this secret possibly be?
What has James not been truthful about?
I need to know what's happened and I deserve to know now, I'm carrying his child the least he could do is be truthful with me instead of hiding and thinking I'd never find out
