We all had gone down to the cafe to have some dinner and since the scan earlier Emily and her mum have been civil
I know that everything in the past obviously put me in their bad books as well but I just hope that after this they finally accept me back into their lives
We finish our meals and head straight back to Riley's room, the last day or so it seems as if Riley is getting the colour back in her skin so one can only hope that she wakes up soon but who knows with these things
The days lately all seem to merge into one and I feel like I'm running on nothing lately
Thankfully my work is still okay for me to not be in but I told them that I don't care what they say my girl and babies need me more then an office does
"Why did you come back to Riley" Emily asked breaking the silence
"I couldn't stop thinking about her and I love her so why wouldn't I come back to her" I softly reply causing Emily to scoff
"If that was the case then you wouldn't of done what you did" Emily scoffed
"Yeah I get it, I was young and stupid but Riley has forgiven me so you should too" I scoff back
"James has proven that he wants Riley and he means what he says so there's no need to bring up the past is there" Patrick chimes in
"It doesn't matter some people can't let things like that go, no matter how hard they want too it scars someone and it's all that they think about" Emily mumbles back
"Like I said Riley's forgiven me, Riley wants a future with me so until you're name is Riley your opinion clearly doesn't matter" I snap
"Ugh whatever James you're honestly so pathetic, I won't and never will like you" Emily says looking into my eyes
"You are the pathetic one Emily" Riley mumbles causing us all to look at her as fast as we could blink
"Riley!" I exclaim before jumping up and wrapping my arms around her
"Hey my love" Riley whispers into my ear
I move out the way so everyone else can say hello to Riley and give her a much needed hug
"Just because I wasn't physically awake I've still heard everything and James and dad are right, you guys have no say in what I do with my life" Riley mumbles
"But we want what's best for you Ri" Emily says
"But arguing with the father of my children and my dad whilst I'm here laying on a hospital bed is down right pathetic, either grow up or get out" Riley sternly says
"You don't mean that" Riley's mum gasps
"Yeah I really do, I don't want anyone in my life that doesn't wholeheartedly support me in everything I do" Riley replies causing Emily and her mum to be speechless
I honestly don't blame Riley for snapping at them, they can only be nice for a maximum of half an hour before they go right back to how they were beforehand and it isn't fair on Riley at all
Riley presses the button to alert the doctors Riley wanted someone to come and it wasn't long before Jonah entered the room
"Oh Riley it's so lovely to see you awake!" Jonah calls out with a giant smile on his face
"I was just coming in to check on you, I can see you're awake but how're you feeling? Any aches or pains?" Jonah continues
"I'm okay thank you, I'm a little hungry though" Riley giggles
"You and your food" Patrick chuckles causing us to do the same
"Least we know you are okay" I chuckle before grabbing Riley's hand in mine
