I finish my second plate of dinner and can tell something is playing on Riley's pretty little mind, I really hope I haven't done anything to hurt her since that's something I never want to do
"What you thinking about?" I ask her while taking in Riley's face to see if she'll let me in
"A lot to be honest with you" Riley sighs looking down at her hands resting on the table
"Talk to me about it all" I suggest hoping she does
After a slight pause Riley let's put another sigh
"Well I'm just confused by you" Riley admits making me furrow my eyebrows "The last two weeks we've barely spoken to me and we haven't met, I honestly thought you didn't want anything to do with me and then you call me earlier today like nothing happened" Riley confesses
"I'm really sorry I acted like that, I was going through some things and I didn't want to put them onto you" I explain
"You could of told me James, we've been through how much together! We're supposed to be building ourselves up a good foundation before we decide to get together again or if we go our separate ways and how you've acted isn't really helping build something good is it" Riley sighs
"Okay okay I didn't realise how it looked, I'm really sorry I've hurt you Riley.. do you want to know what happened?" I ask
"Yeah I really do because right now my mind isn't thinking the best" Riley scoffs but I couldn't blame her
"My childhood friend passed away.. Rowan, we used to be really close but once I joined The Next Step we drifted apart, I still had all the love and respect for him though, that never went away. I found out through his mum two weeks ago and I couldn't handle the news" I confess
"Oh James I'm so sorry, you could of told me though! I would of helped you" Riley softly says before standing up and rushing over to give me a cuddle
"It's okay Ri, you didn't know" I softly say while running my hands through her hair
"But if I had known I wouldn't of let my mind go to others places" Riley sighs
"It's okay you didn't know, I'm better at dealing with it now" I softly say
We cuddle for a few more minutes before I look up at the kitchen wall to read the clock which is now saying the time is 10:30pm
"Oh it's half ten, shall we go bed and watch a film?" I ask
"I didn't realise it was so late" Riley says before taking my hand in hers and leading us up the stairs
We both get into bed and try and find a good film to watch for us to drift off to however we both had other plans, I hadn't had Riley in quite a long time and my entire body ached to feel hers
I plant a trail of kisses down Riley's neck just how she likes it before reaching her soft red lips, hoovering over them slightly before I plant a passionate kiss on them
I pull away slightly but Riley reaches up for another kiss this time deepening it even further then before. I slowly make my way down Riley's body creating goosebumps as I go before I go to the place I am desired the most
It was lucky that no one else was home since it was safe to say Riley's neighbours have probably heard us having a good time but I didn't regret it in the slightest. We both breathlessly collapse on the bed before I embrace Riley in a cuddle as we drift off to sleep together
