*Max knocks at the door of the McLaren motorhome, since he's not allowed inside*

*Daniel shows up and walks outside*

Daniel: Hey, what's going on?

Max: I have to apologize to Lando. I shouldn't have punched him

Daniel: Yeah, maybe it wasn't your smartest move ever

Max: My sister already made that point, so please don't rub it in even more

Daniel: Y/n did? She knows what happened?

*Max leans against the railing behind him and crosses his arms*

Max: Yeah she knows. But she only knows I punched Lando because of the kiss

Daniel: I see... You didn't tell her about forbidding George and Lando from speaking to her

*Max shakes his head*

Max: I know I'm overprotective and I know I have to give her space as well. And believe me, I will from now on. But this will be my last move as an overprotective brother. Lando and George need to stay away. She needs to fix other shit first

Daniel: And you really think them staying away will help her to get through everything?

Max: I do... She needs to discover herself again, before she moves on with another guy

*Daniel raises his eyebrows*

Daniel: Wait, so you're saying you're not angry about the fact that it's George or Lando as a person?

Max: I admit it's not the best situation, and definitely not George, but it's not only about them

Daniel: So, there is a thought behind this behavior of yours

*Max looks down*

Max: Yes... She completely lost herself when she dated Liam. She lost her happiness, her focus at school, but also her passion for writing

Daniel: She's a writer?

Max: She is. During the time she was with Liam, she completely stopped writing. When he was finally gone, she started again. At least, she was writing during the first weekend she got here

Daniel: But now?

Max: It was the only time I saw her writing. As soon as she stops writing, it goes downhill with her. It's a pattern she already has since we were little kids. She writes when it goes well, she stops when it goes downhill. And she stopped writing last week... That was my cue to step in as a big brother

*Daniel is startled and crosses his arms as well*

Daniel: Something so small, that can tell so much

Max: Yes... You know I'm not a bad person, I wouldn't make her life miserable. She just doesn't see how much she needs this space for her own. To start writing again. To release the real her

*Daniel shakes his head in disbelief*

Daniel: I never thought you would recognize something like that in a person

Max: Well, it's my sister...

Daniel: My god Max. Deep down you're sentimental after all

*Max laughs*

Max: Don't you dare to tell that to other people

Daniel: I'll keep my mouth shut mate. But man... Only her writing gave you the sign to step in...
