Chapter 36: Happy Birthday

Danni

"Happy birthday, Danni. I brought you some breakfast."

"Thank you. I love you."

"I love you more."

"Not possible." I shake my head.

"And why is that?" He says laying down next to me.

"Because..." I say straddling him, leaning in. "I love you the most."

"Mm?" He mumbles with dazed eyes.

"Mhm." I say bringing my face closer and closer to the point where our faces our just inches a part.

Before he can close the space between us, I hop off of him, head to the dining area and eat my breakfast.

"What are we doing today?" I ask while eating my food.

He just stares at me. 

"You're killing me, Danni."

"What do you mean?"

He gets up to come stand in front of me.

"You know what I mean."

I give him a quick peck. "I just like teasing you."

"And I love that you do. It's so hot."

"I know I'm hot."

He smiles and kisses me.

"Today... we're going to a park to have a picnic. Then, we're going to San Marco but not till later tonight."

"Why later tonight?"

"I read that it's prettier at night." He shrugs.

"Okay." I smile.

"This garden is called," He pulls out his phone to check. "Parco delle Rimembranze. If I said that correctly."

"It's very...nature-y."

"Nature-y?"

"I'm not a dictionary."

"I love you."

"I love you too." I smile.

Right now we're sitting in the middle of the park on a blanket, playing would you rather.

"Would you rather," He pauses to think for a second. "Make out with your celebrity crush or get paid five thousand dollars?"

"Make out with celebrity crush. No way am I passing up anytime with Jack Hughes."

"Who's that?"

"Hockey player for NJ devils."

"Hockey player... mkay." He smiles at me.

"My turn. Would you rather sleep with your partner's sibling or your best friend's sibling?"

"...Best friend's? Yeah, best friend's."

"Why?"

"Because I wouldn't sleep with Rachael... or Lucas."

"Let's say, I had a sister who was around our age and she was much prettier than me-"

"No one's prettier than you."

"I know. Thank you. But it's for scenario purposes. If she was prettier than me, would you sleep with her?"

"No."

"But you'd sleep with Caleb's sister?"

"Caleb doesn't have a sister."
