Chapter 30: Accident

Danni

 "She seriously got you a dildo?" Zak asks from his seat next to me in our health class.

 "I guess so. I'm just going to pretend she didn't say that and hopefully she gets me something else."

 "I mean it is a little funny."

 "No it's not."

 "A little bit."

 "Do you want me to return your gift?"

 "You can't return a dog."

 "You still think I'm getting you a dog. That's cute." I turn to him smiling.

 "You're not getting me a dog?"

 "Guess you'll just have to wait and see."

 "I want a dog though."

 "You might get one, you might not."

 "Danni."

 "What?"

 "Don't do that."

 "Do what?"

 "Are you getting me a dog or not?"

 "I'm not telling you."

 "Why?"

 "Do you normally know what you're getting before you get it?"

 "Yeah..."

 "Well this year you don't. We also have that Christmas party tonight."

 "I thought you didn't want to go?"

 "I don't but you do."

 "We don't have to go."

 "We're going."

 "You two look hot," Rachael says.

 I'm wearing a grey long sleeve sparkly dress with an open back and Zak is in his tux.

 "It's all Danni," Zak says and gives me a kiss on the side of my head.

 "You two have fun, not too much fun."

 "Bye Rachael." We head towards the car and get in.

 "So does this party serve alcohol?"

 "I have no idea."

 "Okay, well I got us fake ID's just in case."

 "Zak!"

 "Live a little, Danni. I'll be the designated driver. And it might be fun to see you drunk. I've never seen you drunk before."

 "Because I've never been drunk."

 "You've never had alcohol?"

 "I've drank before, just not enough to get me drunk. I'm taking precautions."

 "Well you can get drunk tonight if you want. If not, I'll drink for both of us and you can drive us home."

 "You do that. Just remember it's not a high school party. Don't do anything stupid."

 "I won't, I promise."

 We've only been here half an hour and he's already drank too much.

 "Danni, you're really pretty."

 "Thank you, Zak. You're pretty too."

 "Can we have a baby?"
