Reader x Reiner: Pomegranate

"Come along, (y/n). There are more flowers over there!" A Nymph said.

"One moment! I can see more flowers by the pond over there. I'll go get it!" You said as you ran towards the direction you pointed.

"Don't stray, or Annie will kill us!" The voices of your friends faded as you went deeper into the forest.

When you arrived at the pond, you saw a strange yet beautiful flower. Its aroma was sickly sweet, dragging you to it. You fulfilled your temptation and picked it, but it was stuck to the ground, making you use more effort. Finally, the flower was picked but the ground shook suddenly. Next to you, a cleft was formed. And from that cleft came out two black horses pulling a chariot. You stumbled and fell but an arm swiftly wrapped around your waste and pulled you onto the chariot.

The mysterious man refused to speak but he held you tight and close to him. Any actions of escape were futile, you were being carried back to the cleft.

You screamed when the cleft disappeared above you. The man settled the chariot and the horses down, he got off and removed his Helm of Darkness. You trembled in fear at the sight of your kidnapper. His body was well built, lean shoulders and an intimidating aura. His robe shifted every time he moved. Eyebrows were furrowed as he calmed the horses down.

He turned to you and hung his head, "I'm sorry for...uhm...taking you suddenly, m'lady." He took a step forward but you scrambled away. His eyes widened but softened after. He turned from you and began walking. "Follow me."

Fearing that you might get lost, you stood up and followed the man. You came upon a river, a boat with a ferryman waiting aboard it. He bowed deeply before the man as the other boarded, they both waited for you to board the boat, but you stood still.

Finally, your kidnapper held out a hand and you hesitantly took it. You boarded the boat and shivered at the sudden cold. Your kidnapper wrapped a cloth around you as the boat started moving. The ride was undeniably quiet.

The boat stopped moving and your kidnapper got out. He helped you get off but you turned to the ferryman.

"Uhm....t...thank you..." You said before you followed your kidnapper again.

He led you to a room, which he told you was yours. "I...I'm not...staying here...am I...? Y-you'll bring me back to m-my mother...right?" You whimpered. The man's eyebrows furrowed before he shook his head, which made your eyes go wide.

"I'm sorry." He slammed the door shut, you wailed as you sunk on the floor, feeling hope wash away from you.

"G-go away...! I..I don't want to talk...!" Just after being kidnapped, there's no way in hell that I'm going to talk to him!

To your surprise, it wasn't from the same person who took you. "What? You think I'm Lord Reiner or something? Honey please, that's the least I want to be." The voice belonged to a woman. You stood up and opened the door for her. "Wonderful! May I come in, m'lady?"

You felt like she was more higher than you so you stepped aside. "P-please...I am in no worthy for such a title from you..."

"Oh please, I am but Hanji, Goddess of Witchcraft. One of Lord Reiner's most 'trustful' servants. I've been here in the Underworld for eons now." Hanji chuckled.

"U-Underworld...? Y-you mean I-I'm..." You stared at her, which made Hanji laugh.

"Yes indeed, (y/n). It's a lot different from what the books say. It's peaceful here, not rowdy like Olympus. Ugh, the noise there makes my head hurt!" Hanji said as she rolled her eyes. "Even the things that everyone says about Lord Reiner isn't true."
