The Letter

You turn away your head. You cannot figure out why you are so angry.

It didn't bother you if you got wet you walked out and started taking longer steps as you walked- past them.

You ran your way back home.

Back in the welcome privacy of your bedroom.

You sat down cross-legged on your chair.

You tried to shake the melancholia out of your head.

With a heavy heart, you propped your notebook out of your bag censoring the negative parts as you wrote.

Respected Principal,

I Y/N a student of your school, Aoba Johsai. I will be highly obliged if you could please hurry up with the renovation of the old gymnasium which would be used by the girl's volleyball team and members of the other clubs......

You were determined you knew what you had to write, you wanted the old gymnasium to be renovated.

You used the exact words which you thought would get his attention and would probably be accepted.

The next day

You look at the letter in your hands and then the door in front of you.

"It'll be fine-it'll be fine just do it just do it already," you repeat those words again and again.

Finally, you open the door. This time you did not give him a chance.

"Excuse me, sir, good morning." You closed the door behind you.

Head empty, you walk back to class, you wonder if he will accept your request.

"You sure are troublesome."

"Excuse me what!?" you turn around to see Oikawa.

Your cheeks flush red.

Why am I blushing-why am I blushing, you keep repeating those words in your head.

"You know it's the second time you have gone to the principal's office."

"How did he-" you wonder. "Stop sneaking on people!" You demand.

He chuckles, "I-I wasn't I- I didn't, I just happened to notice."

"I just happened to notice," you imitate.

The way you used your voice to imitate him got him laughing.

Your face turned red and you started laughing too.

"You know you are really funny."

"I don't know if I should take it as an insult or a compliment," you said.

"Take it as a compliment," he assured.

For split seconds or two, you guys didn't say anything except look at each other and smile.

Oikawa cleared his throat, "umm, so where are you heading?"

"Oh, umm class."

"Cool I'm heading that way too," he smiled.

"Huh? What for?" You felt you shouldn't ask but you just did.

"To drop you that's why," he smirked.

Hopefully, you didn't turn crimson red when he said that.

He walks you back to class, up to your desk.

As soon as you both show up Sakura and Mai crowd you.

"Y/N where were you?"

"Were you bunking classes again?"

Oikawa looks at you and smirks.

You push both of them to the corner and say, "hey stop it you are embarrassing me."

"Is there a problem?" He pops his head between you and them.

Your face gets red and you try to push him but he catches your hand midway.

"You are a feisty one," he laughs still holding your hand.

You look at your hand as your face turns red again.

The sudden gasps from Sakura and Mai cause's him to leave it.

He laughs nervously for a few seconds.
"So, I'll be heading back now," he looks at you and smiles, "see you around."

You smile back.

As soon as he left, Sakura and Mai stand in front of you.

"O my God what was that," asks Mai.

"Yeah, it was like a dream come true but instead it happened to you," said Sakura.

You do not say anything but smile.

"O my god Y/N you are blushing, what the hell happened to you."

"No, I'm not!"

"You sure are your entire face has turned red," says Sakura.

'It's allergies, "you protest.

" Hey, guys what's up?" asks Aika coming towards you.

"Someone's got a little crush on someone."

"Really? Who is it?" she asks.

"It's nothing you guys are making a big deal out of nothing," you say.

They ignore you and say, "it's someone famous we all know him."

"Wait don't tell me is it Iwaizumi!?" She frowns.

All of you look at her and sigh, "God you are dumb," says Mai.

You try to explain to them that it's nothing but they don't stop teasing you.

"You guys are pathetic," you say and leave for practice.

At the end of the day, you are on your way to the principal's office to know about his response.

"You can keep on sending me these letters but I will not change my mind," he says.

"But sir-"

"You can leave now."

"You said," you stop and he looks at you.

You close your eyes for split seconds and say, "you said I can keep on sending these letters then that is what I will do until you accept them." You say and leave.

"Why does he have to be so difficult it's just a simple renovation it's not like the school cannot afford it. After all, this school is famous for sports."

Aika listens to you carefully while you grumble about earlier.

"Today again we had to vacate the gym for the boys to use." You grumble.

"There is nothing we can do you know," she says finally.

She is not wrong, but you refuse to give up.

That day Aika walked you home.

She said she was worried about you cause the exams were around the corner and you were hardly studying.

"So you are coming right tomorrow?" You asked.

"Huh, where?" She sounded confused. Then her eyes lit up," yes yes I am!"

"Great," you smiled.
