Evelyn's POV

The next morning wasn't a pleasant one,my eyes of all felt like something is chopping them up sighs filled my ears right after i left my bed to kevas room.

I found it quite weird that she's all clothed and showered ,we escort each other silently to the kitchen while holding hands.

She sits at her chair without hassle,keeping a semi blank expression,as if we both know what's up.

I stop going through the fridge and stand next to her,she instantly hugs me"I'm sorry mummy"

"What for baby"i question being the usual lost one in broad daylight

"You don't look okay,that's why"

My body just pulls her in she buries her head in my neck, and i let on pair of my finger tips run through her hair,and the other holding her tight

"Wanna eat breakfast on the go" i suggest not willing to smell melted butter today

She nods"all right first allow me to change princess and we're good to go"she's clinging to me it means no easy way out

I settle for a baggy black jean,with white tank top , and throwing a flannel to it,apparently no for heels today just a lovely grey sneakers.

I grabbed my bag,with keva on my back for god knows how long

"Good morning ma'am"

"Morning can i have one childreo Breakfast meal,and a large americano with two extra shots espresso, and chocolate cookies"

"Yes ma'am would you like anything else"

"That would be all thank you very much"

4more seconds and we're out of there on our way.

By the time we arrived to her stop,she's done eating.

Holding her hand in mine,i squat down for our daily kisses"all right sugar,behave and enjoy yourself okay"she nods at me and i spread kisses to her cheek and hands.

"I love you mommy"she says before hustling to school

I wave at her,after i checked she's in i go back in my car,and play some music on the low,sipping on my iced coffee.

My head is sobered up thanks to the caffeine,surprisingly enough the atmosphere wasn't that great but i washed down the feeling

Clocking in and taking a cup of tea on the way to my lecture hall,i look at my watch,i still have 30minutes before lecture

I rest my back against the chair and just loosening up my nerves,to the quiet chilly hall

My eyes loved to stay shut for the whole thirty minutes but,bad timing follows me every where

And you guessed it someone clears its throat,my eyes open widely before a silent shigh slipping out

Kendra looking at me and our eyes stick to each other despite the dim lighting of the sun seeping through the glass window

I close my eyes, trying to snatch the vain thoughts ,prying to shit the rest of the day

"Sorry for that"she rambled

I sighed trying to flush down the feeling of a lump forming in my throat

My flustered heart pumping excessively, motions of lust and desire boiling my blood

My brain calculating every drip of sweat seeping down my neck,although the air conditioner is on i still feel heated around her

Yes i was in her bed,enjoying the Lust full intercourse,but it doesn't translate my body's reaction,it's a weird thing I've yet to understand

And it's true I've never felt what i felt with her,with anyone in my past relationships including the most damaging recent one

I've obtained nothing but permanent scars,reminding me of how i fooled myself in the name of love

She leaves her seat catching my attention when my eyes lay on her she stops

And i clear my throat looking at a closer desk for her to be in my clear line of view

"Uhh,you want me to sit"she asks dumbfounded and i nod just because i don't want to lose her warm company

She dose so but she remains quiet,we exchange a couple of glances at one another

"Weird how"she starts "you can be okay in my company but,you won't speak to me"i hear a sighs"dont you find it grievous"her eyes are firmly gazing at me

I do a couple of clicks on my laptop before leaning back and sipping on my now cold tea, and my brows furrow from the distasteful metallic taste

Swallowing hardly"First of all I'm not refusing to,i need time,i need to reassure myself,that my daughter will not be in danger of any sort,the past trauma has damaged enough"i blurt

She looks away and back at me"I'd rather die than cause harm to keva"

"I know but we both know that life changes in a blink of an eye"words came out fluently
Does that night mean anything to you"then she asked

I took a brief moment of silence inhaling deep breath,flashbacks,emotions speaking back to me

"It meant everything"i replied and the bell ringed, i ripped my gaze from hers

I started lecturing without hesitation,noticing how her eyes are cold enough,to set the record that she's not having the shadow banning from me.

I'd like if i could change sweap her attitude,and just kissing her peach like lips,and whispering i want you in her ears,but it can't be helped.
