Chapter 1: All Good Things Must Come To An End

COLTON'S POV

"You guys have been the best fans we could ever ask for! We want to thank you for those of you who have been supporting us from day one and those of you who just recently started supporting us. Thank you BVB Army! Our final song is the song that started it all, Knives and Pens!" My great grandpa shouted into his mic.

I looked around at my family and saw them all wiping tears away. We were standing side stage at Black Veil Brides' final concert. They've spent the last year touring the world and finished with Los Angeles.

I am Colton Longsworth. I am fourteen years old and just finished my eigth grade year. My passion is surfing, which makes sense since I was born and raised in California. I go to the beach all the time. Ever since I discovered surfing at eight years old, all of my birthday parties have been at the beach.

I've been told I look a lot like my dad.  I have black hair that reaches my jaw line and almost covers my right eye. I have pale skin and brown eyes. I'm about 5'9 and pretty skinny.

I have a little sister, Caitlyn who is twelve and going to be a seventh grader. She has long black hair and blue eyes like my mom. She's about 5'8, both of us got our mom's height gene. She's skinny as well and pale too.

Our full family is huge, but I only really see my aunts and uncles, cousins, grandparents and all the greats in my family at least once a week.

My aunt Danielle and Uncle Casey had two kids, Erin and Farren. Erin is the same age as Caitlyn, twelve and Frankie is ten. My Uncle Eli and Aunt Syndey had two kids as well, Shane is four and Natalie who is two.  My Uncle Eddie and Aunt Liz have one kid, Eva who is two and are eight months pregnant with their second child, another girl named Emily.

My best friend is Brayden. I met him in sixth grade and we've been friends ever since. He surfs with me sometimes but video games is his real passion. He wants to go to college for game design.

School is okay. I got bullied real bad in seventh grade, but eighth grade I grew up. I started standing up for myself and people left me alone.

"GOODBYE BVB ARMY! THANK YOU!" He screamed as the five men ran off the stage. My Great Aunt Blade ran into my gramps arms and hugged him tightly.

"I'm going to miss these concerts." She sobbed.

"I'll miss them too." He chuckled, rubbing the top of her head. Everyone was here, the original BVB kids and all of their families. There were a lot of people.

"Hey Eddie, you're the first fan I've seen in a police uniform at a show." My gramps laughed.

"I came here straight from work."

"Hey gramps, you guys did great." I smiled at my great grandfather.

"Thanks Colton." He smiled, hugging me. "It's too bad you didn't grow up like your parents and grandparents with our concerts."

"Yeah but there's a lot of really good, young bands."

"That there is. Rock isn't dead." He smiled.

"It sure isn't."
