29th August 1993

                        7 years later

oh hey there. it's been exactly 7 years since we last caught up... well... a LOT has happened since then.
my interview with oprah will let you in on all of the details over the last 7 years.

"you ready for this, marnie?" i hear a voice behind me. i turn around slowly and smile seeing william. william zabka that is. i chuckle at my nickname.
"yeah..." i say nervously "i feel like she's gonna absolutely rip me apart." i made a face and he smiled softly "you'll be ok... you have ralph and i. we're always here to protect you, you know that."

i smiled at his loving words.

"right, come on then." he said helping me up off of the chair. ralph came into the room and smiled "she's ready for us." he looked between william and.
"billy? rob called earlier, said for you to call him after the interview, he said he'd be watching it as it broadcasts" ralph told william.
billy smiled and nodded "that's good, cheers mate!"

we walked into the lounge area of my large home where oprah and her team set up cameras, lights and sound systems.

we greeted oprah again and sat down. i was in the middle of ralph and billy.

"it's a honour to welcome such icons. Normani Carter, William Zabka and Ralph Macchio. so lovely to have you all here with me." Oprah claps her hands
"thank you!" we all smile

"so first off... i'd like to congratulate you and william on your pregnancy." she smiled at william and i
"thank you so much!" william smiled brightly
"yeah thank you." i nodded smiling
ralph nodded and smiled looking at william and i.

"so how did you two come about?" she asked smiling, she then turned to ralph  "ralph is it true that william flirted with normani on the set of the karate kid?" she asked and ralph nodded as he laughed "billy was quite the flirt, normani was the only one who was basically the same age as him. he was 17... right?" he looked past me at william, and william replied "yeah i was."
"billy was 17 when we filmed the karate kid and normani was 18. they were the youngest cast members... he did flirt with her a lot but he was still very respectful of the relationship she was in at the time." ralph told oprah, hinting at my relationship with michael.

"yeah... i thought she was really pretty," billy spoke up "so i flirted, innocently of course, whenever we was around each other on set or just hanging out.." billy added making me chuckle

"and to answer your question, oprah, we've been friends obviously a decade now.. and we were quite close and spent a lot of time together anyway. and well, when she was single again, i asked her on a date and she thankfully said yes." he giggled a little making me smile.

"that's really sweet! how is your daughter, Anastasia, with william? does she like him?" she asks me and i smile widely "oh Stasia loves billy, goes around calling him beezee... that's his nickname." i said making everyone laugh.
"she's an amazing little girl, and she's really smart for 6 years old! she's adorable" william nodded sitting with his legs open slightly with his hands clasped together between his legs.

"where is she today? i was hoping to meet the sweetheart." oprah smiled at me
"oh she's with her dad... it's michael's birthday and she wanted to be with him, even though he doesn't celebrate his birthday" i smiled

even though michael and i have been split up for 3 years now i still love him so dearly and he'll always be one of the most important men in my life. michael and i split up on mutual terms.. we just- wasn't in love? i guess. i don't know. i wanted to focus on my baby girl instead of trying to fix a relationship. michael and i are still close and love each other immensely.
on the other hand, william and i have been together 2 years. i got caught pregnant in february, which means i'm 6 months gone.
it's crazy.. i never thought my life would end up like this. i thought i lived a fairytale with michael and expected us to last forever. obviously fairytales do not exist in real life!

"aw that's sweet! what does michael think to the news of you being pregnant with another man's baby?" she asked me directly. i inwardly groaned and rolled my eyes, i look at billy and be raises a brow at me trying to contain a smirk

"michael is really happy for me, for us, he's excited to meet the baby." i caressed my bump.

"and have you met michael, william? are you both friends?" oprah asked william and he nodded "yeah we met back in 1983. he's a cool guy.. and we get on really well, we always have."

i smiled as william talked about michael.

"your music career has EXPLODED over the last 7 years hasn't it??" she asked making my eyes brighten up. "thank you!" i nodded my head as ralph and william clapped jokingly, yet seriously.

"your 1987 album 'Diva: The Queen' debuted at number one in america with 1 millions sales, it debuted at number one in the united kingdom with 800,000 sales and also debuted or climbed to number one in 29 other countries" she read off of her sheet and i smiled at my achievements
"on that album you had hits like 'i knew you were waiting' with george michael, 'price of fame' with michael jackson, which both did extremely well sales wise and in the charts. sweet melody debuted at number one in 32 countries. shout out to my ex peaked at number one in 40 countries. Diva debuted at number on in 25 countries. when i grow up debuted at number one in america and the uk and peaked at number two in 12 countries and was in the top ten in another 20 countries." she read the sheet and i grinned and glanced at ralph and william who looked so proud of me

"you then gave birth in 1987 and during your pregnancy wrote a lot of songs... which were all the songs on your 1989 album 'Female Alpha' which debuted at number one in 69 countries, which is said to be the best selling album of yours, the best selling album of 1989 and most successful music era of 1989. it's the best selling two disked album in music history... all of the singles released from this album reached number one in at least 30 countries. this makes it the only album in history to have 9 songs reach number one on billboard hot 100 AND all over the world. your first three albums are listed by the National Association of Recording Merchandisers and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as one of the 200 Definitive Albums of All Time." she said and william and ralph clapped so loud making me blush

"your 1991 album 'ring the alarm' sky rocketed to number one in 37 countries. it topped the charts in america for 11 weeks then dropped to number two then rose to number one again for another 9 weeks." she smiled looking up at me raising her brows "all seven singles hit number one in the uk and america, and 6 of them reached number one in 20 other countries." she pointed at her sheet.

"the single you released without album support, called 'otherside', which you released in 1991 hit number one in 70 countries." she added "you released a song with janet jackson in 1992 called Bad Boys and it flew to number one in 80 countries, the most for any artist so you and janet made history" oprah cleared her throat then looked up at me

"now that's pretty expressive!" her eyes widened making me blush even more while william and ralph laughed

"it's incredible because i remember when we first met she had so many dreams and records she wanted to break... and i had so much faith in her. but seeing her do it, after she told me her dreams only a year before, was something incredibly special and i got to witness all the magic and madness with her." ralph said and william nodded, agreeing.

"yeah we're very proud of her, she's the hardest working person we probably know. she takes her art very seriously. it means the world to her!" william added.

"rumour has it... sony announced you and michael jackson as the greatest selling music artists of all time. you have sold over 300 million records while michael's is rumoured to be around that and higher!" she said brightly making me grin and nod.
"your Female Alpha album is the second ever album to be 15x platinum behind Thriller." she said with her eyes wide making me smile and nod

"female alpha is the second best selling album of all time, behind Thriller." "and you and michael are the best selling music couple, at the time you was together, in the history of the recording academy." she said raising her head to look at me

"it seems like you're making history everyday and you're only 28!" she clapped and the boys clapped too
"thank you so much... i honestly wouldn't of got where i am today without michael and the jackson family. they literally created their whole family as chart topping stars.. and now they created me as a successful star. i couldn't be more thankful for that" i said softly, gratefully.
