Broken

At the stranger's voice, I snapped my head over in his direction and I couldn't help but to grip my towel tighter.

"And who might you be?" I shot back.

"I'm ateez's manager and we need to talk" at that, my eyes widened and I quickly replied with "I should get dressed first."

He nodded and I excused myself.

Pulling my dress over my head, I said "This should do it!"

Turning, I glanced at my side in the mirror, making sure that there wasn't a bulge anywhere close.

"If I wear jeans, how's that going to work? It's not like I can tuck it under. There's balls with this thing!" I sighed as I slipped on three layers of clothing on myself.

Before stepping out, I whispered "Please, do not get excited and get a boner now. It is not the time!"

"Nice to meet you, y/n! Firstly, I would love to say that I've heard so much about you but the truth is, I haven't. I dont know how they managed to keep you a sec-"

"There isn't really much to it, she was just uh-h my friend" San said as he emphasized the was.

I wanted to break down, I wanted to yell at him that I considered him more than that but I couldn't.

I've been through idol boys one too many times to not know what would happen next.

Sensing the tension in the room, their manager said "Well, an article was published last night."

And at that, he slide his phone across the coffee table for me to check.

My eyes widened when I saw a picture of San hugging my figure tightly and I knew immediately it was from our most recent visit to my grams home, two days ago.

San's rumored girlfriend?!

"I am not his girlfriend" I said lowly.

"Well, the article has those words twisted and well, our company CEO requested that I get this fixed or I'd lose my job so, are you willing to help a single father?"

My eyes widened at his manipulative trick as he continued "Because of this, it'll affect ateez as a group and their careers might come crashing down soon for something you and San did-"

Interrupting him, I said "San was the one who hugged me, he was an adult at the time so technically, it was his choice so why should I pay for his mistake?"

Hongjoong's eyes snapped over at me and he couldn't help but to laugh at that. San however, dare not glance my way.

"I guess hanging around you had always been a mistake, huh?" San snapped and I deserved that for throwing him under the bus but at the same time, I retorted "If he's going to be an ass, you might as well pick him up and leave!"

San laughed in the most arrogant way known to man before saying "it's funny how manipulative you can get when the upper hand is yours"

"I'm being manipulative?!" I asked in a rough tone as I glanced between the men then continued "your manager is over here trying to sell me sad stories just to agree to whatever the fuck it is he'd want me to do"

"Yeah and knowing you, you might just shed a few tears over dramatically before agreeing because of your stupid flaw!" San yelled back.

"Yeah, you know me so fucking well, how long have we known each other? Not even two fucking years" I clapsed my hands together before continuing "please stop assuming that you've known me long enough"

"But I do, I'm sure I fucking know you more than you know yourself." He yelled "You're going to yell and yell and yell and then break down just like you did over your last breakup"

"That's it! Get out! Get the fuck out!" I yelled as San replied sarcastically with "Whatever! The amount of regrets I have meeting you"

At that, San made his way out the door as the manager said "I take it now is not the best time?"

Hongjoong sighed before saying "You should probably leave while you're still in one piece"

And at that the manager scrambled his way out of the door behind San.

Running my hand through my hair, I yelled, letting my frustration out.

Pacing back and forth, I heard Hongjoong mention beside me "it's been a while since I last saw San like this" curiosity hits and I ask "How?"

Hongjoong looked over at me as he let out one single word "Broken"
