TODAY IS THE DAY of the Masquerade ball and I just can't wait till I get back to Italy. It has been a while since I've been in New York so I'll have to get used to everything again.

I stare at myself, through the full-body mirror and admire the view. My black dress reaches the floor with a long cut that exposes my right thigh and my chest slightly exposed including a gun that is strapped around my left thigh, just in case. My long hair is tied in a low bun with a silver diamond clip keeping it in place with my black glossy pencil heels.

My makeup isn't that bad. The smoky eye makeup and mascara make my eyes pop out with deep red lipstick to complete the look I put on my black lace floral eye mask.

I pick up my favorite perfume from the table, pull the cap tilt my head up a bit then spray it onto my neck followed by my right wrist I then gently rub the sweet-scented liquid onto my left wrist.

Once I'm done I place it back onto the table then I take my lacy black masquerade mask then put it on making sure I don't mess up my makeup.

I grab my black leather Chanel purse and then walk out of the apartment, my heels clicking on the ground with each step I take.

"You look stunning." Oscar breaths. His ginger hair is slicked to one side. I noticed his beard is freshly cut. His black suit perfectly fits him. "Shall we."

Oscar raises a brow and wraps his arm around mine. We both made our way to the car already finding Chiara leaning against it while she was putting on lipstick.

Her fawn curly hair is now straightened. Her makeup is natural yet makes her even more beautiful. Her mermaid golden dress hugs her body perfectly.

"Ready?"

"Let's get this night over with."

The International Ballroom is 7,600 square feet with a dramatic 18' ceiling. The ballroom is beautifully appointed with crystal chandeliers and a creamy color palette of gold and black that is sure to complement our chosen color scheme or preferred décor. The ballroom can comfortably accommodate up to 500 guests for a sit-down meal with ample room for a dance floor and staging for a bridal party head table.

Mr. Grey sure did a great job.

Classic music playing in the background as chatters were filling the room.

I turned to Oscar and Chiara. "You know what we're here for," I said in a low voice. They both nod and walk away.

Taking a deep breath, I immediately put on a fake smile on my face and passed a group of men as I tried to find Mr. Grey

I tried to ignore it but I couldn't. Something doesn't sit right with me. Something is off. I don't know why I had this weird gut feeling ever since I arrived in New York.
