The next morning I see Merlin get up. "I'm alive."

"What do you mean alive?" I ask

"Nothing," He says.

"You bargained your own life!" I shout.

"Not the point," Merlin says

He runs downstairs "I'm alive!"

I follow him down. I see Gaius kneeling over a woman.

"What is it?" I ask

"What's happened?" Merlin asks

"Merlin, Olivia. Stay there!" Gaius orders

"What's wrong?" I ask

"No, don't," Gaius says

Merlin and I rush forward and see our mom with these boils on her face.

"Mother" Merlin and I breathe.

We fall to our knees.

"Merlin, Olivia," She says with difficulty.

"Whats happened to her?" Merlin asks

"She's gravely ill," Gaius states.

"Do something!"  I say

"If I could," Gaius replies.

"Please, Gaius," I say with tears in my eyes.

"Merlin, Olivia,  this is no ordinary illness."

"This cannot happen." Merlin whispers.

"Who did you meet at the isle of the blessed?"  Gaius asks

"Nimueh," Merlin says

"Nimueh?" Gaius questions.

"It was as you said, she demanded a price. But I bargained my life, not my mothers." Merlin says

"I knew it" I mumble.

Merlin glares at me.

"Not the time," I say.

Merlin grabs my mom's hand "I will make you better, I will."

He jumped up, got his jacket and ran out.

"He has got to stop doing that. Gaius..."

"Go," Gaius says.

I get up and go toward the door.

"Olivia"

"Yeah?"

"You might wanna get dressed.

"Right" I quickly ran to my room and got dressed the ran out.

Unfortunately, Merlin was nowhere in sight. The one place I thought to check was Arthur's room. I walk in and find Arthur sitting in his bed, eating his food.

"Sorry, to bother you have you seen Merlin?" I ask

"No, I haven't" Arthur replies.

I sigh and run my hands through my hair. "Okay, thanks anyway."

I turn and walk toward the door.

"Hey, you okay?" He asks

"Yeah..." I say

He gives me a weird look.

"Okay, no," I say

"You wanna talk about it?" Arthur asks

"It's my mother, she's... sick." I say a tear rolls down my cheek "But on the bright side, Gaius is helping her as we speak."

"I'm so sorry, Liv. Okay, wait." He starts getting out of bed.
