TWISTED PERSONA || Hwang Hyunjin

Plan A

No one's POV:

"What announcement?" Asked Hyunjin, slightly tensing up. He had a bad feeling.

He was right

"There will be a sports competition next week for all the girls in our year and whoever wins...the prize is...uh..how do I say it-" started Changbin but Lee Know cut him off,

"The prize is YOU. Basically, the competition decides who will be your girlfriend and the future Mrs. Hwang that will inherit the Hwang Group with you."

If Hyunjin was a dead corpse, he would look more alive than he did after hearing what they said.

"...maybe you should've said the news a bit more gently, hyung.." mumbled Jeongin, looking at their friend who has the colour drained from his face completely.
He was frozen in his place until Seungmin decided to splash him with water...

"S-Seungmin...why did you do that?! He's gonna kill us all!" Yelled Jisung, but surprisingly, Hyunjin was still standing there with that astonished expression on his face, his hair and face dripping with water.

He finally blinked since the past 3 minutes and swallowed what they said. Harshly.

Before he said anything, Hyunjin turned to look at Yeona, secretly hoping to find her sad. Angry. Jealous even.

But Yeona looked completely calm as if they have been talking about the weather all along.

And Hyunjin couldn't help but feel a tad bit disappointed...

He finally cleared his throat, "What on earth is my grandfather planning by arranging such a bizarre competition?"

"I think he sees that it's time for you to get marri-"

"MARRIED MY ASS, I'M STILL 18!" Hyunjin yelled, cutting off Chan.

"What will we do now? Every girl will kill to win in that competition and who knows which girl will end up as the winner..." stated Felix worriedly and Hyunjin's eye twitched at the thought.

There was a moment of silence when Seungmin suddenly interrupted it, "All the girls will kill to win, all except one..." he trailed as they all turned to look at Yeona.

Yeona's POV:

After hearing what the guys said, I couldn't help but feel a little...

I don't know

Annoyed?

I tried my best not to show it though because it would look weird if I seemed annoyed right?

As my head was filled with these thoughts, I looked up to find all 8 of them staring at me...

"Um..what is it? Do I have something on my face?"

"Yeona. Yeona is the answer." Stated Felix and I was confused.

No one's POV:

"If Yeona participates in this competition and wins, she'll take the prize which is Hyunjin, and then she can decide to take him or leave him." Explained Jisung.

"Am I some kind of object?" Asked Hyunjin annoyed but they ignored him.

"If Yeona wins, at least we can trust her with Hyunjin." Stated Chan.

"And I'm sure Hyunjin would like it better if Yeona wins rather than any other girl from our school." Added Felix while wiggling his eyebrows at Hyunjin.

"Woah woah woah wait! You want ME to participate AND you expect me to win?" Started Yeona in disbelief, "If those girls knew I'll be joining they would throw me off the school's rooftop before the competition even starts! No way, they already hate me more because I spend time with you guys."

"Leave that to us." Changbin answered her while pointing at the rest of the gang, "We will make sure that you complete that competition safely. All you have to do is aim for first place."

"That's easier said than done." Mumbled Yeona.

"What if we disguise Changbin as a girl and let him win? It's a sports competition so no girl can beat Changbin and besides, he's short so no one will notice!" Suggested Minho and got a smack on the head from short binnie.

Minho groaned in pain, "He is short but his strength is no joke..."

"Scratch that, we're sticking to plan A." Stated Jisung and turned to hold Yeona by both shoulders, looking at her intensely, "Hyunjin's love life depends on you know Park Yeona. You can do it! HWAITING!"

"But-"

"NO BUTS! YOU'RE OUR ONLY HOPE!"

"Yeah! Say something, Hyunjin! Encourage her! This is all for you!" Yelled Minho.

"You don't have to do it if you don't want to." Hyunjin said lifelessly.

"HAH?! What the hell are you talking about dude?! This competition will ruin your life!" Yelled Changbin.

"I don't even know how could your grandfather do such a thing without even telling you before it!" Added Chan and Hyunjin sighed but said nothing more.

He was still not over the fact that Yeona was not as annoyed as he wanted her to be...

But he didn't know that she did feel annoyed

"I'll do it." She said and Hyunjin spun his head towards her in confusion.

"I said you don't have to-"

"I said I'll do it. I want to."

A small smile crept on Hyunjin's lips as the others cheered on for Yeona.

'It's just a small sports competition that includes all the girls in our year who will be fighting for Hyunjin...and I have to beat them all haha that's so easy.

What could go wrong?'
