There was a time when I stopped and looked at our past. How things between us started to spark. The way it ignited and lightened up the void between us. Then, it vanished just like that. Like a storm that came out of nowhere and blew the fire away. Or like a flood that viciously whipped out everything it passed through.
It's hurt at that time. You left without even a goodbye. Because you're afraid that it would hurt you like the way I felt. Alone and cold in the darkness, I searched for the light that never meant to be there. Searching for the warmth that once was belonged to me.
Under the sapphire moonlight, a promise had been made. A vow had been spoken. A promise to be each other's happy ending. A vow to never leave each other's side. But now, where was the promise? Where was the vow?
I do believe in happily ever after. Even though it never meant for us to be together. Because I wasn't supposed to be on your page of happily ever after. People said write your own story. But the story that we wrote, was never meant to be happening. All I could do was hoped that you found yours as I tried to find my own happy ending.
