Declared What?
"We did it, girls!" Yuffie happily declared, "Another year done and over with."
"God, this year's end couldn't come any slower." Tifa said, shaking her head.
"It wasn't easy, I'll tell you that." (Y/n) said, sarcastically. "I'm just so excited for midnight."
"Same!" Yuffie exclaimed, "Who are you girls kissing?"
"Kissing?" Tifa coughed, choking on her drink.
"Of course," Yuffie said, "You have to kiss someone at midnight."
"Uh, we didn't even come with dates." (Y/n) said, "Countdown is in ten minutes, how could we find someone?"
Yuffie thought for a second, she then turned and looked around at the crowd that surrounded the three girls.
Yuffie then pointed at a random man in the crowd.
"Hey, you!" She called, Tifa and (Y/n) raised an eyebrow.
"What are you doing?" Tifa whispered, but Yuffie continued.
"Do you want to kiss me at midnight?" She asked, boldly. The man had an unsure look on his face, but he nodded with a small smile.
"S-Sure." He stuttered.
"Well, I have my date." Yuffie said, with a smug smile on her face. "Time to get you girls some dates."
"I'm good." Tifa said, shaking her head. "I'm not fond of the idea of kissing a random man in a bar."
"Come on, Tifa!" Yuffie tried to encourage her, but Tifa still shook her head.
(Y/n) couldn't help but cross her arms and giggle at Yuffie's attempt at making Tifa find a date. But then (Y/n) felt hands on her shoulders, making her jump. She turned around and was instantly met with a pair of familiar blue and green eyes.
"You scared me." (Y/n) giggled.
"It's good to see you too, (Y/n)." Yazoo smiled down at the girl.
"It's always a pleasure to be in your presence, Yazoo." She teased, looking back at her friends who were still fighting. Yuffie then noticed that Yazoo was standing behind (Y/n), his hands still on her shoulders.
"You should kiss (Y/n) at midnight, Yazoo." Yuffie said, taking her attention off of Tifa. (Y/n)'s eyes widened in shock, while Yazoo just looked confused.
"What?" He asked, hoping for clarification.
"Yeah, for New years." Yuffie said, but Yazoo still didn't get it.
"I still don't understand." Yazoo said, taking his hands off (Y/n)'s shoulders.
"You really don't have to do it." (Y/n) said, "Kissing at midnight just means you want to go into the New year with someone romantically, like a promise to stay with them."
"Or kissing a random stranger because that is SO normal." Tifa glared at Yuffie, who put her hands up in defense.
"Hey! I haven't gotten a New years kiss before!" Yuffie said, making Tifa roll her eyes.
"Well, anyway." Yuffie started again, "(Y/n) needs to find a date before midnight."
"The countdown is now in five minutes," Tifa said, "Can't (Y/n) and I just take a shot at midnight?"
"I'd rather do that then kiss a random man." (Y/n) said, Yuffie huffed.
"Fine, then I'm the only person that gets to go into the New year with someone." With that, Yuffie went to go find her mystery man.
"Want a drink, Yazoo?" (Y/n) asked, he just shrugged and followed her to the bar.
"So, what's this about a kiss?" Yazoo asked, with a smirk on his lips.
"Oh," (Y/n) blushed, but spoke, "It's just a thing us humans do on new years."
"Sounds interesting, care to explain?" Yazoo asked, his devilish smirk growing wider. (Y/n) blushed and nodded.
"Well, when you kiss someone at midnight. It means you want to go into the New year with them, in a romantic type thing." (Y/n) said, "You probably think it's stupid."
Yazoo didn't answer, he just looked down at his drink and looked to be deep in thought. (Y/n) raised her eyebrow, but turned her attention back to Tifa.
"You two make me feel like a third wheel." Tifa joked, making (Y/n) giggle.
"I am sorry." (Y/n) nervously rubbed the back of her neck.
"I get it," Tifa smiled, "You two are pretty cute together."
"Oh, shut it." (Y/n) blushed, making Tifa giggle.
The countdown started, making everyone excited and starting to count down. Tifa and (Y/n) started to countdown together, eagerly waiting for the New year.

"Yuffie!" Tifa yelled, making (Y/n) jump in surprise. Tifa then got up and ran into the crowd of people, going to rescue Yuffie. (Y/n) couldn't help but laugh.

Yazoo then got off his stool, making (Y/n) raise her eyebrow. But, she tried to pay attention to her friends. Tifa was a little preoccupied with trying to get Yuffie away from her new friend.
As the time dwindled, (Y/n) adjusted her seat and countdown out loud. Making Yazoo look at her and smile, he then looked up at the giant clock that slowly let the old year fall away.

Yazoo then placed himself in front of her, and placed his hand under her chin, making her eyes widen. He then roughly but passionately connected their lips together.
HAPPY NEW YEARS!
Everyone yelled, Tifa and Yuffie both stared at their friend with wide eyes.
"Looks like she got her kiss." Yuffie stated,
"I guess, she has." Tifa added, shocked by who her passionate kisser was. "I never knew."
"I don't think anyone could've guessed." Yuffie said.
Yazoo pulled away, his hand still under her chin. (Y/n) slowly opened her eyes, feeling the blissful feeling fade and now turning into complete shock.
"Y-Yazoo," She shyly stuttered, "What was that?"
"Well," Yazoo started, "You told me that a new year's kiss was a way to declare you want to be with them In the new year. So, I declared it."
"Y-You mean.."
"Yes, I want to be with you." Yazoo confirmed.
