Lightning *Fred Weasley love*

Year 4 Part:20

When we entered the lake, I was able to swim with ease. I looked over to Harry, he seemed to be getting the hang of it
I couldn't wait around for him to figure it out fully, it's a competition and now that I know he's breathing fine I can start

I was as fast in water as I was on land, I was able to out swim Fleur Harry and Victor my tail gave me incredible speed
The competitive side of my personality wanted to do laps around the competition but I figured I could brag later

The lake was murky, and filled with Grindylows.
Nasty creatures.
They resembled water demons with their green pale skin, horns on top of their head and sharp claws. Their bottom half was similar to an octopus while their top was like a merperson.
I could see them swimming around Fleur, it's nice that they are after her instead of me or Harry. I feel bad but it's a competition, I can't help anyone but Harry here. I think they are avoiding me too since I look like a mermaid, they don't try to get in mermaid's ways

I traveled through the thick weeds attached to the bottom of the lake, I know Fred and my friends are around here somewhere.
Fred wouldn't have missed being in the stands, cheering me on I know him. If it wasn't to cheer me on it would have been to make sure I didn't kill myself
I knew they were being taken away for this challenge
I have to find Fred soon

I didn't see any of the other competitors in the weeds, I knew Fleurs got her hands full with the Grindylow but Harry and Victor should be close by

I could hear the song of the merpeople the egg had in it, I must be close...

       There

I could see 4 people being held by a rope from their leg to the bottom of the podium

Surrounding them were actual merpeople, they all had spears. They didn't swim towards me as I cautiously advanced.
I'm sure this can't be as easy as it looks...

I swam over to them fully now
Fred was on the left, then Ron Hermione and a small girl who I assume is Fleurs sister

I used my claws that the gillyweed gave me to release Fred.
He began floating, not up to the surface though. I'm sure I have to bring him all the way up, which I would have regardless but even when I released him the merpeople didn't do anything. I suppose the challenge here was the creatures of the sea not the guardians
I still didn't see any one else around though.
I looked at the merpeople, who watched me intensely. I'm sure if I try to help the others they'll attack me...I'm sorry Hermione and Ron but I know the rest will come for them so I can't dwell on it

I grabbed Fred, and swam up to the top being stopped by nothing.
Why was this challenge so easy for me...the last one I almost died and this one nothing stood in my way
I let Fred break surface first, then I came up beside him
He took a deep breath in, and looked confused at first
Then he saw me and smiled so deeply
  "You did it Love!!" He pulled me in and kissed me "I knew you would be my knight in shining armor" he laughed as we swam together to the dock

George and Lee grabbed Fred, who then grabbed me from the lake.
My skin started to burn and I let out a scream
  "What's wrong??" Fred asked beside me

  "I c-c-" I couldn't even finish my sentence, my throat was in so much pain
Then I felt someone shove me back into the lake, when I fell below the surface my skin cooled down and my throat was better too
I swam back to the surface again, but kept most of my body in the lake
  "Sorry I had to shove you back" said Lee "you can't use gillyweed above surface you'll die"
