The summer involved Quidditch practice, Quidditch matches on the TV, Hermione visiting me, then me visiting her, and a lot of gnome throwing in the garden. I couldn't be happier Well I could be, if I was granted stay with my dad that is He's been working hard to get us a home, he does write to me though
It's a week till we go back to school and we are going to the World Cup in two days. Right now I'm at Hermione's house, I came by for a couple of days until the game then we would use Floo powder to bring us back to the burrow the night before the big game
"Electra, you look incredible this summer. You have been keeping in shape and it's easy to tell" she said pointing at my ab muscles showing. We are sunbathing on her back deck
"Gotta stay in shape for Quidditch you know!"
"I bet none of the other players take things as seriously as you do in the summer. You said you wanted to go pro last year is that still your goal?"
"Yes I think that's my main goal," I said after drinking my lemonade "but if I can't I'll be happy being an Auror"
"Would you be happy with that though? Quidditch is kind of your life" she said laughing
"I mean true, but I don't want to put all of my happiness in one path, if it didn't happen I don't want to be lost"
"Speaking of happiness...did you ask Fred what was going on with you two?" She side eyed me
"Not really...I want to honestly but what if I mess up our friendship? I feel like by now he would have asked me to be his girlfriend I mean he was practically my boyfriend all last year...at least he acted like it"
"If he doesn't want to commit to you, let him go don't let it affect you that's how you can keep your friendship still"
"But I don't think I can stay only friends with him, I wanted to avoid him when he was with Angelina because of the pain it caused me. I can't imagine what it'll be like if he dates anyone else especially now," I said braiding Hermione's hair
"If he's too stupid to see how perfect you two are, then that's that...you deserve happiness and I don't want to see you being strung along there are plenty of other people waiting for you to give them the time of day," she said laughing towards the end
"But what if I don't want anyone else..." I paused playing with her hair
"Then you make him jealous, Fred reacts with emotions first and thinks last. It works last year" she smirked at me
"True, want to go on a walk with me?"
"A walk yes, a run? No, it's just a walk right..."Hermione was suspicious because our last walk I convinced her running halfway through was better
