Fred and I walked out of the three broom sticks and went into our favorite stores
Honey dukes and Zonko's
After we shopped for a while, we headed to an up and coming side of Hogsmeade
It had a lot of new stores including a new clothing store that I brought Fred into
He helped me pick out an outfit for Christmas Day
Fred held my hand and kissed my forehead while we stood outside of an empty building with a "for lease" sign
"One day we will have a shop here" Fred said "maybe we can afford it next year so that way I can be closer to you"
"Is it expensive?" I was surprised they didn't already have a bid on it with the amount of money they have been bringing in
He sighed "you wouldn't believe how expensive it is" he squeezed my hand "maybe the summer will be good to us"
We met up with Harry Ron and Hermione outside of the local book store
Harry and Ron were sitting on the bench outside sipping on a hot beverage and Hermione was checking off a list she had in her hand
"Hi!" I said walking up to them
Fred kissed me goodbye when we reached their group, and then he apparated back to the loft
"I found the perfect gift for Fred" I said sitting down next to Harry
He passed me a hot cup as well, it was filled with chamomile tea
"Thanks for thinking of me" I said sipping the tea
He nodded
"What's the gift?" Ron asked
"You'll see if no one else puts a bid in for it"
They looked confused but left it alone for now
Professor McGonagall said the last carriage would be at 5 pm and it was almost that now
So together we all walked across the bridge leading the way back to the carriages
"Did you and Fred see anything weird at the three broom sticks?" Harry asked
"No how come?"
"I saw Draco go in and then I didn't see him come back out, I'm suspicious of what he was doing there" Harry admitted
"I didn't see anything and we were there for a while"
A scream was heard from in front of us
We all looked at each other and raced for the sound
When we got closer we noticed it was Katie Bell and a friend of hers
Katie was being lifted into the sky by some unseen force, and her friend was screaming for help
Harry and I raced up to their group but were quickly stopped by Hagrid who came from the other end
"Don't touch her" he yelled at us
"Why??" Ron yelled catching up to us
"She's been cursed, see" he said pointing to the ground
There laid an old necklace with diamonds all around it. I stared at it and felt a pull to go closer
Harry and Hermione were with Katie's friend and Hagrid was using his wand to knock Katie out so he could get her
I didn't realize I was moving until I was inches away from the necklace
"Electra!!" I heard someone yelling
The necklace called to me, in a language I didn't know and I wasn't sure why but I wanted to touch it
I tried to reach for it but Ron had pulled me away when I was almost about to grab it
He turned me around to face him
"What in the bloody hell are you doing?? That thing is dangerous" he said holding my arms "didn't you hear Hagrid say it's cursed??"
"It was calling to me I didn't mean to...didnt you hear it?" I asked him
He looked confused
"No" he said flatly
Hagrid was carrying Katie to the hospital wing, and Professor Flitwick, who ran to us from the direction Hagrid came in, levitated the necklace and took it to go be examined
Harry walked up to us with Hermione and Ron was still holding my arms
"I heard it too" Harry said to me "it didn't say anything...it just make a noise like a—"
"A hiss" I said looking at Harry
He nodded
After thinking about it, I noticed it wasn't a language I knew because I didn't know parseltongue
Hermione looked at Ron and then to where the necklace was taken
Why were we the only ones who heard that noise....
It was now a week before Christmas
Everyone was hanging out in the Great hall for a study period
Ginny was stressing out because it was her turn for OWLs
Hermione was helping her study while writing her Transfigurations essay
Ron was stuck on potions so him and Harry were using the textbook Harry still had as a guide
And I was writing a letter to my dad
Frankie was running around all of us
Whoever needed him the most he would cuddle into, and then he would switch to someone new if their needs were bigger
I kept my word to bring him everywhere with me
I even introduced him to Celeste the day Fred gave him to me
She was fond of him right away
I went to the owlery this morning and collected my letters
One was from my dad and the other was from Viktor Krum
Viktor's was explaining to me the benefits of being on the Bulgaria team, I wrote to him asking for advice about the team earlier this week
I wanted to know if anything about the team bothered him, but he said no
He made it seem like the perfect team
My dad wrote to me telling me we would be spending the holiday at the burrow this year
"It was built for Christmas " he said in his letter
Mrs.Weasley will be excited about that I'm sure
From what Fred told me, George was bringing along a girl he met a month ago to meet the family
I hope she's nice, he deserves someone who is
Fred also told me that George and him would be showing up late Christmas Eve
This time of the year is really busy for them, so they've been staying open later
Our study period was over, and all of us but Ginny walked to our potions class. She told us she had charms next
Speaking of potions class, tonight was Slughorn's Christmas party
Harry Hermione Ginny Neville and I have been attending his parties since he invited us, Harry has been using it to get close to Slughorn as Dumbledore requested, but the rest of us are just going to keep Slughorn happy
He's a nice Professor so I don't mind attending, and since Fred talked to Cormac it's been relaxing to attend
He even laid off Hermione too, I'm sure he's afraid that going anywhere near my group would bring Fred's threat to life
I still don't know what he said but it must have been intimidating for him to listen
