Christmas Day has arrived and Mr.Weasley was finally released from the hospital this morning. They kept him in an extra night to be sure he was ok to go home and thankfully he is. We were all awoken to the sounds of his laughter entering the door, his spirits were still high even though he had a life threatening encounter.
I am a part of the order, but no one has informed me on what happened yet. We plan to have a meeting tomorrow with the rest of the group, so I suppose I'll hear it then
After we all hugged Mr.Weasley and chatted for a bit it was time to open and exchange gifts
Mr.Weasley got me a rubber duck to add to the collection he gives me yearly, I'm the only one who finds them as fascinating as he does. Mrs.Weasley knitted me a red sweater to match Fred's red sweater, Ginny got me a broom cleaning kit, Harry got me a scarf and gloves that I'm sure Hermione helped pick out, Hermione gave me a pair of earrings, Ron got me loads of chocolates frogs luckily all had cards I didn't have yet, George gave me some prototypes of joke items that he knew I'd enjoy playing with, my dad upgraded my old broom he told me it's going to be even faster and lighter now to which Fred laughed and said "if she gets any faster she's going to be impossible to even see". Speaking of Fred, he gave me some charms to add to the bracelet "each charm has a meaning, there is a broom for obvious reasons, a lightening bolt because your incredibly fast on and off the field, and a heart with my initials on it because you'll hold mine forever"
He kissed each charm before putting it on, saying that it's enchanted to bring warmth to my wrist anytime I'm feeling upset, he's always been the best at giving gifts.
Dinner with the family meant something different this time. We all sat at the large dining table, Fred on my left and my dad on my right at the head of the table. We toasted to Mr.Weasleys good health and to Harry who was the reason for him being around still
Harry looked uncomfortable with all the attention, but it was soon changed to everyone making their own conversations with each other
"I can't wait to see you ride around on that new broom" Ginny said to me
"We're going to kick Slytherins ass next week" George said pushing Fred who got pushed into me "they won't stand a chance with your speed Lightening"
"I'm going for a record amount of goals" I said smiling
"I hear scouters are starting to show up at games now" my dad said smiling at me "you're going to go pro I just know it"
"I still think you'd be well—safer in an office job" Mrs.Weasley said
"Let the girl go for her dreams Molly, she's tough" Mr.Weasley said "Ginny wants to go pro too, maybe you will be on the same team"
"Or opposite teams and then family parties will be interesting" I said winking at Ginny
The next day a meeting was held for Order members.
I thought it would be nice having someone my age in the meetings with me, but Harry was quiet while everyone talked about what happened
They explained what he was protecting that night, my heart ached for him but I knew that any member would have agreed
It was our job to work against dark wizards
I saw Mrs.Weasley look up at the ceiling and dangling from it was a small ear on a string
"Boys!!" She yelled as she got a chair and cut the string making the ear fall off to the ground
"Anyways..." Professor Snape said "I am the best at Occlumency I will be teaching both you and Harry" he said staring at me
"I'm sure we can find a better instructor" my dad said annoyed
"Are you going to walk out of the building and find one yourself?" He said smirking
I glared at the Professor
My dad took a sip from his tea and stared at Snape with so much rage it filled the room
"He is the best at it" Moody said
"It better be only what is required. If I find out youre giving them hell I will not hesitate to leave this building and beat the shit out of you, like the old days" my dad said smirking back
"Well I'm glad that's settled" Tonks said trying to lighten the mood "Electra if you have any more of those letters show up direct them to us please"
The week ended, and it was time for us all to go back to Hogwarts. We were to be escorted by Moody and Tonks, so we were all saying our goodbyes to the family
Charlie and Bill didn't show up, neither did Percy...I felt incomplete without seeing Charlie
He lettered me explaining his situation with the dragon rescue he works for and promised to see me over the summer vacation
I gave Mr and Mrs.Weasley a long hug, and then went to my dad who was talking to Harry.
Harry saw me approaching and went off to say his goodbyes to the Weasleys
"Stay safe ok?" My dad said hugging me tightly "I hate to be that dad but stick close to your friends and Fred. I worry for you my sweet girl" he squeezed me extra tight before letting me go "there is power in numbers, and letter me if you need me at any time. I won't hesitate to come to your side you know that"
"I love you dad, stay safe too. And sane for that matter" I said laughing "I'll see you again in the summer"
He held my head to his chest again, then kissed the top of my head before releasing me
"I love you too"
I walked up to Fred and held his hand, then held onto Tonk's hand. She was to escort Fred and I, Moody was taking George and Ginny. The rest would be apparated after us. I looked around the room, and made eye contact with my dad who smiled before I was pulled away into darkness, then into the lights coming from the train station
"Wait here we will be right back with the rest of the group then you can all cross together" Moody said
Seconds later the rest of our group showed up, and we all walked to the platform
I felt my heart hurt from leaving my dad, knowing he would be back to being alone majority of the time.
As I was feeling down, I felt my wrist warm up
I looked up at Fred who was chatting with Lee before we got onto the train, he smiled down at me when he noticed I was staring at him and then brought my wrist up to his lips and kissed it
Fred dropped me off with Harry Hermione and Ron, and then headed back to Lee and George
"What do you think Umbridge has done since we left?" Ron asked
"I'm sure the castle is covered in pink by now" I said laughing
"I get to go back to detentions with her and filch" Harry said discouraged
"Well at least you dont have a detention the day off our quidditch match we will need you against Slytherin"
He nodded and went back to looking out the window
I knew something else was on his mind, but I left him alone knowing he would talk about it when he was ready
Hermione talked about the up coming O.W.Ls which Ron and I have been avoiding discussing
"I don't need to do good if I'm going to be a pro Quidditch player"
Hermione glared at me
"Maybe so but you should still try and study"
I shrugged
"I'll do my best" I said smiling at her
"And I'll do my worst I'm sure" Ron said eating a pumpkin pastry
