SIRIUS STARED AT Bonnie's sleeping figure, moving his hand forward to brush a piece of hair from her closed eyes. His gaze trailed to her unbandaged arm, three perfect claw marks swiped through the skin, though only partially healed. He sighed, grabbing her hand that fell slightly off the couch in the Gryffindor common room where the witch had fallen asleep with her journal open. Sirius couldn't help but look over at the words he could see as the book laid on her chest, her dog charm falling slightly to the side causing a small smile to form on his face.

His eyebrows furrowed at 'Chamber of Secrets' wondering why she was researching an old myth. He moved forward, grabbing the book from her lap. His eyes read over the log she wrote down from McGonagall from the time the Chamber was opened once in history. Sirius didn't get very far, only to something about Moaning Myrtle before the book was ripped away from him.

"What are you doing?" Remus asked sharply, the pair rocky due to Bonnie's injuries.

Sirius scowled. "None of your business, Moony. Give me that."

"This is Bonnie's personal journal. She'd be miffed if she'd known you read anything from it," Remus said knowingly, placing the book back on Bonnie's stomach just as the witch began to stir. She moaned in pain before opening her eyes to see Sirius and Remus staring each other down. "All right, Bonnie?" Remus asked.

"No, if you hadn't noticed, she hasn't been feeling quite herself since you—"

"Sirius!" Bonnie hissed before looking to Remus, the wolf looking down dejectedly. "Remus, I'm fine. I was just tired, is all. How're you feeling?"

"Anxious," he answered, "about tomorrow."

The February full moon was arriving quicker than anyone was ready for. Bonnie made sure Remus had ample enough of his potion before worrying about herself. When Dumbledore returned from his traveling, they had a brief meeting concerning what happened with Remus. Dumbledore assured and reassured that a scratch would not cause a full transition on the full moon. He said, with that stupid twinkle in his eye, that Bonnie may have wolfish tendencies like a better sense of smell, abnormal taste cravings, an angrier temper, and being tired close to and after the full moon. He made sure to have Remus in there when he said it, easing Remus's nerves only slightly. He was sure Bonnie would transform and kill her dorm mates.

Because of this, Bonnie had yet to tell Dumbledore of her findings of the Chamber because he told her he found a lead on the cup of Helga Hufflepuff (confirming it when Bonnie described the man in her vision). He sent her to bed before Bonnie could even get a word in, causing the witch to grow angry at him for dismissing her so easily.

"Don't be," Bonnie reassured again. Remus nodded before glancing at Sirius once more. He soon left when Sirius didn't make any movement to look at him. "Sirius, why can't you forgive him?"

"I still haven't forgiven you," he said.

"You're dramatic."

"Hmm, whatever you say," Sirius grumbled, grabbing her hand. "I'll stay with you tomorrow if you'd rather it."

"No. Remus needs you three. And you need to stop it! He already hates himself enough without you adding to it," Bonnie hissed, releasing her hold from Sirius with a glare. "And don't touch my journal again."

With that, she stormed off causing Sirius to smirk when she made sure to grab his leather jacket that was sitting on the floor next to him.

"What are you hiding?" he called after her.

She turned, scowling at his smirk. "Go talk to Remus, Sirius Orion Black."

"Hmm, the full name. You wound me," he said with a scoff.
