BONNIE WAS PATCHED up quickly by Madam Pomfrey with a healing spell. Lily and Bonnie hadn't said a word since the duel, both girls for different reasons. Lily didn't know what to think. Of course, Severus had been acting rather odd around the other Slytherins, but she didn't think she'd ever hear those words from his lips. It hurt more than she imagined it would. Bonnie, on the other hand, was wondering how deep of shit she was truly in. She had to save her friends, but why couldn't she save everyone? Snape didn't deserve his death either, so why couldn't she salvage their friendship? Bonnie felt like the world was on her shoulders, and in some way, it was. The three girls walked slowly to the common room later that night, not wanting to face the stares yet.

Bonnie was thinking too much that the headache that had formed before she got the large gash on her forehead only grew. All Bonnie wanted to do was sleep off the last week of school they had. Suddenly, a thought grew in Bonnie's head: She'd have to go home again.

Groaning aloud, she felt like banging her head against the nearest wall. Lily and Marlene glanced at the witch wearily, but both were too engrossed in their own thoughts to really bother asking Bonnie what was wrong at that moment because truthfully, everything felt wrong.

Bonnie bit her lip while looking around as they reached the common room. She didn't see the Marauders, nor did she see the Prewetts or Mary... MARY! Bonnie felt her throat constrict. Where was Mary?

Bonnie watched at the portrait swung open, revealing the Marauders. They all seemed solemn, but Bonnie didn't care. Lily and Marlene's eyes widened when they saw Bonnie run over to the boys. She grabbed Remus's arm harshly and whispered, "The map. Remus, where is the map?"

Remus pointed to Sirius quickly when he noticed the urgency in her voice. Sirius only watched her suspiciously. Bonnie looked at the ebony-haired boy. "Sirius, let me see it for a moment."

"Why? After that shit you pulled earlier—"

"Goddammit, Sirius Orion Black, you give me that map right this second, or I'll fucking hex you into oblivion!" Bonnie snarled, Peter and James backing away slightly.

Remus put a comforting hand on Bonnie's arm as Sirius mumbled, "Here, you lunatic," as he shoved the map into her hands. Remus watched as she made the map work and was searching for a name. Her eyes scanned the parchment so quickly that he offered his aid; she refused with a shake of her head. The boys looked at each other in confusion.

Bonnie finally saw Mary's name right next to Mulciber in an empty classroom. Cursing quite loudly, which drew in Lily and Marlene to see what the hell was going on, Bonnie threw the map down on the floor after just barely seeing Fabian's name nearing that corridor. Running out of the common room, she didn't glance back to see if anyone was following her.

Peter hastily picked up the map, Marlene and Lily already seeing it and its functions. He frowned. "She was looking for Mar—oh, shit. Mulciber has her in a classroom--"

Lily yelped out, "What!" as she grabbed the map from his hands. "No, no, no, not again..."

Lily and Marlene took off next.

No matter how angry James was with Lily's outburst, this was Mary. Mary was someone who was always nice to the Marauders since day one. Being Sirius's step-sister, she was a link between the two groups. They all cared for her. He shook his head and was about to say something, but Sirius cut him off. "That's my bloody sister, half or not. I'll kill him."

Then, the Marauders took off with the map.

Bonnie felt sweat beading on her forehead where the gash was. There was still a faint line from where Pomfrey had healed it, but Bonnie could care less about the headache that was only growing larger and larger by the second. Without wasting any time, she began to move her legs faster, not liking how far away Mary was.
