"I'm scared. What if he doesn't make it?"
"Shh, Kurt. It's okay. He will make it."
"How do you know?"
"Because he knows you're here waiting for him."

"Hey, Kurt."

"You look cute. And I mean, dirty-cute."

"You're such a nerd."
"Come on, one marathon and I'll never bother you again."

"I love you."
"I love you too."

"I used the problem number as part of the problem."

"That's my Thad. I was missing you."
"Careful, you've got a boyfriend."
"Nah, I agree with him. That was badass."
"It wasn't badass."
"Yeah it was. It was an ultimate power move."
"We stan a legend."

"Morning, sunshine."

"Hey. Hey, Kurt."
"Hm?"
"It's Christmas."

"Merry Christmas, love."

I gotta wake up. I have to.

Fight it. Come on.

Wait, no, don't-

Don't do it-

"-flatlining, we have to-"

"-won't work, that's-"

"-what if-"

"-might work-"

No, no, no, no!

Just wake up, you do it daily, just wake-

. . .

"-it work?"

"Pulse is faint and slow but still there."

"Getting stronger, though."

Wake up, wake up!

Come on, you just have to wake up.

They're waiting for you, you're probably scaring the shit out of them, you have to wake up.

I didn't want it to go this far, I just wanted to wake up.

Come on, come on!

Just a blink. Please, just try a blink. Open an eye.

Come on, blink.

Kurt forced his eyes open, but they immediately fell back shut. He didn't even get a glimpse of the light.

"He blinked."

"Mr. Hummel? Can you hear us?"

Yes, I can.

Come on, open your eyes. Just a bit. Until you see the light.

Kurt opened his eyes once more, getting them further until they slammed shut again.

Just until you see the light, Kurt. Come on.

Slowly but surely, like a garage door on a summer day, Kurt forced his eyes to open.

Except it looked like the midnight of a summers day.

The light. The light, where is it?

Are the lights off? The lights have to be off.

The lights are just turned off. That's all.

"-eyes are open."

"Mr. Hummel? Can you hear us?"

Nod, say yes, come on, just something.

"Y- yes," Kurt managed to get out, voice extremely quiet and hoarse.
