"Thank you for uh, for coming." Jeremy mumbled into Michaels chest.

"Of course. You can... you can always call me, you know. If you, if you ever need me. If... if it comes back."

"I will." Jeremy said, his voice just loud enough for Michael to hear. Jeremy closed his eyes and let sleep fall over him, feeling protected in Michaels arms.

Michael smiled down at Jeremy, grabbing a piece of gum from his pocket. He watched Jeremy's body fall and rise with his breaths, and smiled softly. He carefully unwrapped the piece of gum, making sure not to move Jeremy.

He put the wrapper in his pocket, taking a mental picture of the sleeping boy.

"The moons out early tonight." Jeremy muttered, smiling widely at himself.

"Dude, babe, did you just quote Alvin and the Chipmunks?"

There was a hesitation in Jeremy's voice as he meekly answered back. "No?"

Michael chuckled. "But yeah, the moon is out early. You can totally see the stars out here too."

Jeremy laughed quietly. He sat down on the car hood, pulling Michael next to him.

"I love you." Jeremy whispered into dark sky.

"What?" Michael asked, afraid that he didn't hear right.

"I... I love you, Michael Mell."

Michaels breath hitched. "I love you too, Jeremy Heere."

Jeremy and Michael subconsciously leaned in, their lips close enough to touch. When Jeremy finally had enough, he cupped his hands on Michaels cheeks, pulling him closer. Their lips connected, and Michael felt the fireworks.

That night when Jeremy fell asleep on Michaels shoulder, Michaels grabbed a piece of gum. He clicked a pen, looking over to make sure Jeremy was still asleep. When he was sure he would wake up, he began to draw the wonderful moment.

"You okay?" Jeremy asks, walking closer to Michaels desk. Jeremy had just come home from work, and was surprised to not see Michael waiting for him at the door. "I just, uh-"

"What? Yeah. Yeah I'm, I'm fine. Are you fine?" Michael asked, clearly flustered.

"Uh, well, I was. But now I'm shook." Jeremy paused, studying Michael. "What are you hiding?" Michael pushed back a box, pretending like nothing was happening.

"Nothing." Michael said, far too quickly. "I uh. Uh. Oh! Did you see the new video game I got?" Michael asked, trying to distract Jeremy quickly. Jeremy let it drop for now, figuring he'd ask later.

"No, you didn't. What's the game?" Michael sighed in relief, and Jeremy pretended not to notice.

Jeremy looked through the 'hidden' box.

The words on the wrappers swarmed through his head.

The day he said he loved me.

The day we started dating.

The day he trusted me.

The day he came out to me.

The day I realized he was the one for me.

Jeremy looked at the dates and the small pictures, his eyes watering. He couldn't believe that Michael would spend this much time on him.

"Jeremy?" Jeremy whipped around, wiping his tears away.

Michael stood meekly in front of Jeremy. "I uh. Oh god." His face flushed. "I didn't want you to find that yet."

"Yet?" Jeremy asked. "But, it's so amazing! Why didn't you show me this earlier?"

"Because..." Michael trailed off, rubbing a hand through his hair. "Ugh. Hold on." Michael walked out of the room, coming back within a few moments.

He fumbled with a box, mumbling to himself quietly before getting down on his knees.

"This uh, I wanted this to be more like, romantic, you know? But this is more like us. Weird and messy."

Jeremy chuckled through his tears.

"I uh, I just. I really really love you. So much. And I just. I just." Michael took a deep breath. "Will you marry me, Jeremy Heere?"

Jeremy smiled wide, brushing away his tears.

"Fuck yeah."
