A few months later...

"You are coming to the party tonight, right?" Cameron asks. I look around at his apartment."Yeah, I need to get out of apartments," I laugh.
"How is your place doing? Aaron still moving in?" he asks, I nod.
"It's doing well actually. Just need a few more bits of furniture but that's it. Aaron wants to still but I said one more month so I get used to living away from parents," I try to explain.
"Ah, okay," Cameron nods.
"Who's invited to the party?" I asks, sitting on the bench.
Currently, I am waiting for a text saying my walls are painted. Cameron's apartment is literally above mine so he said I could wait here.
"The main guys, a few girls, random people," Cameron laughs.
"So it's here?" I ask, looking at the small space.
"Nah, my friend Kian's place, you know Jc," he answers.
"Oh cool! Franny can do my makeup," I wiggle my eyebrows.
"You don't need makeup," Cameron flirts. I give him wide eyes, shushing him. I put my hands in my face to cover my now red cheeks.
"Stop lying," I roll my eyes. Cameron truly is a beautiful person - inside and out. But, Aaron is who I love and see a future with. Cameron is only my boy best friend.
"I'm not lying," he smiles, putting his phone down. I turn my stool away from the bench, to the side. Cameron walks towards my chair. I feel my stomach tighten.
"Everything about you is beautiful," he says, making my heart beat increase. His face is inches away. I run my tongue against my bottom lip, nervously. I can't do this to Aaron...
As soon as I place my hand on his chest, he places his lips on mine. I kiss back ever so slightly before pushing harder on his chest.
My phone buzzes, showing a message from the painter saying his finished.
"I better get going," I say, more as a whisper. His minty hot breath fans across my face.
"Want me to walk you?" he asks, taking a few steps back.
"I think I'll be okay," I say, swinging my little backpack over my shoulder. I pick up my phone, walking towards the door.
"Will you be at the party?" he asks, opening the door for me.
"Will you not tell Aaron that you kissed me?" I sarcastically asks. He looks down.
"Shit, yeah," he nods, "I won't say anything."
"Good," I smile.
"See you tonight," he calls out. By then I'm already at the elevator.
"Maybe," I mumble under my breath.
I unlock my phone, opening contacts. I tap on Aaron's name and lift the phone up to my ear.
"Hey cutie," Aaron laughs slightly into the phone.
"Hey handsome, uh, you coming over?" I ask, walking out of the elevator.
"If ya want me to. It's finished?" he asks, curious.
"Obviously dumb butt," I laugh, smiling.
"Alright I'll head off now," he tells me. I nod, even though he can't see me. I feel my underwear dampen as soon as I walk into my apartment.
