Kennedy

Three Weeks Later...
I stand up as Aaron walks through the door. He has a plastic bag which he claims are my clothes.

"Thank you," I smile, taking it from him.

"Just come out here when you're ready," he tells me, walking back out.

I huff. Today is the day I can go outside again, risking my life, again.

I change into some high waisted shorts and a yellow, floral crop top. Of course, he packed some black and white Vans, so I slide them on.

I walk over to the little mirror, slightly scared. The person I am looking at isn't me anymore. I look dead, my face is slightly paler than usual, showing many veins across my temples.

"You're still ugly," I whisper to myself. My hair looks like a mess, so I tie it quickly into a messy bun. It didn't hurt anymore to comb my fingernails through my hair because it healed eventually.

I put the clothing I was just in, neatly folded on the bed. I notice a light in the bag, which turns out to be my phone.

"Wow," I mutter, I have so many notifications. Although, I don't want to check through them now. Aaron is waiting.
~~~~~~
"Have they told you yet?" Aaron asks me, sitting on the side of the curb with a skateboard under his feet.
"I don't talk to them, I got mad at a nurse that raised her voice at me," I shrug, clueless.
"Why did she?" Aaron asks, looking up at me.
"She said that I am wasting money because the pills are expensive but I'm "throwing" them out," I explain, exaggerating the word throwing.
"Do you?"
"What? No," I lie.
"Kennedy, the doctors told me you could die any time now. Do you know how scary that is for me?" he says, standing up.
"It's horrible trying to live without remembering my past, okay?" I look down.
"Take them. For me," he says, holding both of my hands firmly.
"Okay," I give in, resting my head on his chest.
"Thank you," he whispers.
"Let's do something," I say.
"Like what?" he asks, smiling a bit.
"I don't know, fun?" I look up at him.
"I have something in mind," Aaron innocently smiles.
"I need to take those pills first," I say, wiggling my eyebrows.
"Yeah, let's go," he agrees, standing on his skateboard. I get back on mine, reaching for his hand. I pull my phone out, quickly opening snapchat. He holds my hand, and I take a photo.
Aaron doesn't care, he just takes a photo too but I'm in it. I end up spamming my camera roll with photos of him after.
            ~~~~~~
"Ready?" Aaron asks, waiting by the door.

I pick up the glass of water, picking up the pill. I swallow it, then nod.

"Yeah," I quickly fix my hair, then pick up my phone.
