Chapter 16:

Arabella's POV:

We make it to my new house. Yay? We don't even live in a neighborhood, it's just a dirt road with two houses. It's 8:42 PM, meaning 9:42 PM to Sam.

"Arabella there are some kids your age next door! You can go talk to them while the furniture dudes do stuff and things."

So I walk to my new neighbor's house. Two kids are sitting on a tailgate of a pickup truck. "Uhm hey my name's Arabella I just moved in with my aunt!" They look at me and smile.

"I'm Katelyn and this is Tyler." The girl says.

Katelyn has straight dark hair, darker than mine, and she's really pretty. Tyler has my color hair with brown eyes. His hair is like Justin Bieber. Not with the flippy-hair but the "new" Justin with his hair more up. I guess you could say he's cute, but not as cute as Sam.

Sam.

Stop thinking about him, Arabella!

I smile back at them.

"Ow!" Katelyn exclaims. "I accidentally cut myself on the tailgate!" She has a drop of blood on her hand. She wipes it on Tyler's shoulder, on his white shirt. Tyler dramatically gasps. "I'm going to get back at you Katelyn!" He looks at his elbow to see a scab the size of a nickel. "I'm gonna peel off this scab, and wipe the blood on you!" Katelyn rolls her eyes. "Yeah. Sure you are!" So Tyler begins picking the scab off. I put my hand over my mouth because it hurts just watching! "Son of a...!" He screams when it's halfway off. Then he rips the rest off! He almost screams. I step back in surprise. I didn't believe he'd do it, and neither did Katelyn. Tyler wipes the blood on Katelyn's white shirt. She screams louder than Tyler almost did. "UGH TYLER!!" Then she laughs and gives him a slight push away. "Sorry for my brother, Arabella. He can be, well, you know!" I nod. "I have a brother myself..." Katelyn laughs. "I feel your struggle. How old are you Arabella?"

"I'm 14. What about you?"

"Tyler and I are 15-"

"WAIT YOURE 14 I THOUGHT YOU WERE LIKE 16! You're pretty though!" Tyler cuts Katelyn off.

I giggle. "Thanks! I better go! Nice meeting you! Maybe we can hang out sometime!" I walk towards my house and check my phone.

Arabella 🎀: Hey! 💕
Hot Smelly Goodness 🌚: You home yet?
Arabella 🎀: Yeah. We have some pretty weird neighbors...
Hot Smelly Goodness 🌚: So did I. They moved away a couple hours ago

Arabella 🎀: it's bigger than my old house. We live on a dirt road with one other neighbor in our "neighborhood."

I open kik and see a lot of notifications.

Lexie: She isn't dating any of them!
Cassie: Lexie is right! ^^
Lexie: YAS!! I should be a detective 💁

Arabella: You'd be a horrible detective... Lol
Carrie: ?
Leigh: 😂
Lexie: WHAT .
Stephanie: I think she wants us to imply that she's dating either Sam or Chandler
Ingrid: OMG!
Tori: who are you dating?

Arabella: Sam (once again you're a horrible detective) aha jk

Then I start tearing up.

School in Alabama doesn't start for two more weeks. It's strange, honestly. I know it's only 9:00 but I've had a long day. I need some rest. So I fall asleep hoping to dream about Sam.
