Christmas day

The next morning Harrison woke up smiling he stretched out and looked besides him as her small body was still pressed next to him he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead resting his chin on top of her head, she looked so small in his arms and so fragile to him but he loved her to death so when she moved a little in his arms he looked down and saw her eyes blinking.

" goodmorning "

" hey there, you watching me sleep now "

" i just woke up and I couldn't leave this bed, so yeah I'm watching you sleep "

" it's Christmas day and it's snowing " she said turning her head just a little to look outside the window

" yup so we can stay in bed all day just the two of us "  she looked back at him and tapped his head softly

" I don't know if you remember but we have a son "

" yeah i know well then the three of us can stay in bed "

She gave him a face and kissed his chin getting up from the bed still naked from the night before. She could feel him watch her as she walked to there bathroom
" see something you like "

" always i mean who can't like this view "

She giggled and rolled her eyes and went in the bathroom she came back all dressed she gave him a kiss and went out there bedroom. She made her way to her son's bedroom to see him standing up in his bed and all smiling.

" hey baby well ur looking all happy today "

" ye mama "

She picked him up giving a big kiss on his chubby cheek, she changed him and went downstairs she passed by the living and stopped for a second as she realised all the presents under the Christmas tree.

" HARRISON ! " she screamed from downstairs for him to hear he jumped out of bed putting his pyjama pants on quickly and went to the living

" what ! Why are you yelling "

" is this all for us " she said turning to face him a big smile on her face he smirked and moved next to the tree

" well I told santa to pass by and yeah he did " Henry was looking at his father while he spoke and all he wanted was to be in his arm so he stretched his little arms out and almost screamed to his father

" yeah yeah santa had some present for you to buddy " he said taking him from Carrie's arms and squeezing his cheeks together as he kiss his nose

" well we should open them after breakfast "

He nodded and the three of them went to the kitchen.

" so today is a special day right henry so mommy is gonna make pancakes if daddy doesn't mind " she said looking at both her boys

" when does daddy mind pancakes right henry "

Henry only laughed clapping his hands together and then screamed from joy wiggling on his fathers lap

" well then I guess it's pancakes and hot chocolate " she said all smiling and getting all she needed ready

Carrie had made so much pancakes harrison thought he couldn't move but as he walked back to the living room with Henry crawling behind him he fell to the floor and started laughing

" I'm on a sugar high " he said as Carrie came in sitting on the couch, henry crawled next to his father's head and put his little hand on his father's forehead.

" can we open the presents now Harrison "

" yeah sure go ahead "

He watched carrie rip out a box he had handed to her she put her hand in front of her face as she almost started to cry be his gift

" ur crazy, o my god it's beautiful " she took out a diamond ring that had Henry's birth date engraved in it
She got down on her knees to kiss him and then looked back at the ring.

" i wanted to give you one when he was gonna be born but I wasn't there and then I forgot and then there was ur birthday which i also missed so when we were going to look for a wedding for andy.. "

" andy ? "

" yeah a friend from the army he will invite us to the wedding by the way but anyways i saw that ring right there and i saw you wearing it and then I remembered what I wanted to do when larva over here was born " he said laughing and looking at his son crawling over a present .

" u are the best husband and father in the world and i love you " she said kissing him again and putting the ring around her finger just above her wedding ring she kissed him on more time and went over to Henry.

" so what did daddy get for you "

" well he might be still to small for it but when i saw it i just had to buy it "

" it's big and heavy " she tried lifting the present to put in between the three of them

" henry here is your present ur the one that's supposed to open it you know that right "

" ya " he nodded getting a surprise look from carrie

" ya and no well ur a quick learner tomorrow he can say the alphabet by hart " harrison humoured getting a giggle from Carrie they watched there son crawl to the present and trying to rip of the paper carrie did help a little and smiled when she finally saw what it was Henry just looked at his mother for a clue cause he had no idea what he was staring at, she lift him up and put him on the little firetruck as he took the steering wheel and turned it from left to right while laughing

" aww this is perfect for him, my little fireman. Harrison this is a great present tho he needs to grow a little cause his feet can't touch the floor well only the big toe "

" I'm glad you like it and ofcours that he likes it "

" like i just said u are an amazing father "

" well I haven't been there much so... "

" no so now you're here and you can have all the time in the world to be with ur son " she smiled and leaned with her back against his chest as they watched henry enjoy his truck.
Her hand lay on his jaw and she turned his head so she could look at him.

" what's wrong ? "

" nothing just thinking about how cute this little man is and how lucky i am to have you two "

" don't go soft on me soldier " she said with a smile as he stood back up and sat her on his crossed legs

" I'm not going soft i just love you very much " he slowly kissed each side of her neck, she sigh and let his hands wrap around her waist she felt so good in his arms safe from everything and everyone no more worries it was her him and there son nothing else mattered she had her eyes closed but opened them again as she watched Henry try and push some buttons on the little truck he looked so happy she smiled and raised her hand to touch Harrison cheek

" I'm sorry I didn't get you any presents "

" look at him that's enough of a present for a lifetime "

" well he wouldn't be here without you you know "

" yeah but you carried him for 9 months went thru the pain and all I could never have done that "

" I'm happy ur back home "

" so am i "

The ring was a cute touch right well that idea came from dad he did that for my mom when i was born since I'm the first.

But anyways hope this was cute 😘😘
