"Yes."

Was all he could say.

I gave him his last present and stood up to watch him open it.

He opened the box to reveal a silver watch. It was simple but there was a secret to it. I carefully took it out of the box and flipped it over. On the underside of the watch face were the words 'same effect' engraved.

"I didn't want to give you a ring because I know that you only want a wedding rig so I thought this would fit the part better." I explained while putting it on his wrist.

"I... I don't know what to say... I love you too every part of me.

We leant in and kissed each other.

"Hey fiancé!" MIKA smirked

"Hey!" I laughed.

"I have another surprise!" He took my hand and led me to the bedroom

"Ok?" I was hesitant but I trusted him fully so I wasn't nervous as to why we were back in the bedroom.

"Don't worry, just wear something smart" he chuckled as he got changed.

I did as I was told and soon found myself in MIKA's car.

We arrived at a nice restaurant and he had made reservations.

We had Christmas lunch together in candlelight. The restaurant was quiet yet busy but we had a good time.

We talked, as usual, but this time we were seriously discussing kids. We decided to have a surrogate mother and obviously have MIKA be the biological father.

I couldn't wait!

When we got home, we continued to research about surrogate mothers and everything but we made the decision that we wouldn't take further action until after surgery and we at least had a date for the wedding. We also had a tour to finish and an album or three seeing as we needed one each and we wanted a joint one.

It was getting on for 4pm so we texted the band, Kirsty, Sam, Charlie and a few others like MIKA's family and things to say merry Christmas. We also posted on all social media for the fans but we didn't mention the engagement to anyone. We decided to tell people at new year.

MIKA and I then spent our evening in our dressing gowns with hot chocolate and board games. It was funny to see him get so competitive. I had seen the competitive MIKA before but it just built up as we played more games.

We soon found ourselves falling over laughing at the stupidest things so we gave up the games. We lay on the carpet, side by side, just being close to one another and enjoying the peace.

"Thank you for a lovely Christmas baby" he whispered after a long, thoughtful silence.

"Thanks to you too" I grinned at his sparkly brown eyes. They showed love and anything that's synonymous with it. "What are you thinking about?"

"You as usual. It's virtually impossible for me not to think about you when you're so cute and lovable." He pulled himself up so that he was hovering above me with his elbows by my ears.

"Whatever fiancé!" I whispered sarcastically as his lips pressed against mine and I was shut up.

I put my hand to his chest before saying "I was correct".

He pulled away from the kiss "what were you correct about dear?" He tried to be serious but failed and just smiled down at me.

"It's the same effect" I tried to be serious too but before I had time to fail, his lips were against mine and my hands were back in his hair while his gently lowered him down before softly pulling me closed by my neck.

"I love you Ross" he whispered as he took a breath

"I love you too MIKA. That's why I'm marrying you" I smiled and pulled him back to me.
