Childish Feuds

A/n: I know I'm rubbish at actually updating, I've got a 93 page document with chapter ideas but I keep forgetting I need to actually upload them, so I apologise for the chapter spam

Rachel's POV:

I woke up the next day about 20 minutes before I was due to log onto my first lesson of the day. I hurriedly detached my tube and did my meds before hurrying downstairs and making myself a sachet of microwave porridge and pouring myself some apple juice. I spooned some golden syrup on the top of my porridge and took my food upstairs. I logged onto my first lesson waiting for my form tutor to realise I was there.

"Hi Rachel. Sorry I didn't realise you were there, we're just waiting for everyone to come in then we're going to fill in attendance and then I think I'll put on a news round for you all to watch" She said and I had to type in the chat as my mouth was full of porridge and I stated so in the chat to make her laugh

She laughed "That's fine Rachel, I'll do Roll call once everyone is here. You can listen to some music or something whilst we wait"

I plugged in some headphones and listened to my latest playlist that Fran had created for me because in her words I listened to nonsense. Around 10 minutes later I could see people starting to come into the classroom, Fran being one of them she proceeded to stand in front of the computer and wave frantically. I giggled and our form tutor looked at her crossly "Francesca kindly return to your seat or I'll give you a detention"

The day seemed to drag on and finally I logged off my third period lesson for my lunch break, 10 minutes later I was in the kitchen making myself some lunch - just a tin of chicken soup heated up on the stove. My phone buzzed with the ringtone for FaceTime- I swiped up to accept the call "Hey Rosie" I called out

"Hey Rachel. How are you feeling?" She called back

"Still pretty sore but not as bad as yesterday. I'm just making myself some lunch. What are you guys up to today? Are you going off campus for lunch or are you eating in the canteen?" I asked stirring my soup

"Well we were supposed to be going off site to get lunch but now we're not allowed to leave school site for lunchtime for 2 whole weeks" Rosie replied sorrowful

"That doesn't make any sense. Why?" I wondered

"Well it's because Fran decided it was a good idea to get into a fight with Kelly Price because her and her cronies were being incredibly rude about someone" She explained rubbing the back of her neck, a telltale sign she was uncomfortable.

I sighed, Kelly was forever causing fights with various people. "I'm guessing that the person she was rude about was probably me? Considering the fact that Fran is the one in trouble" I sighed again "What did she say this time"

"Well. It all started when we were on the way to third period and we had to stop by the lockers to grab our stuff and She'd stuck up some pictures of you and Louis when you were rehearsing for Keep Holding On and you know when Louis is in your lap... well she'd somehow gotten a photo of that and she'd written on it Rachel and Louis for Prom Queen and King and then she came over smirking about how your relationship was all about overcoming adversity" Rosie explained all in one breath

"So let me guess, Fran hit her" I said

"She practically launched herself at Kelly and they were rolling around the floor pulling each other's hair and slapping each other. Neither of them got too badly hurt but Kelly has a good chunk of hair missing and a scratch going across her face, Fran has a bloody lip and a black eye. Thankfully Mr Evans came and pulled them apart, I've never seen him look so angry, he marched them both to the Headteachers office and he demanded that Kelly's friends take down all of the posters they'd put up" Rosie giggled a little.

"Has she been suspended?" I asked pouring my soup into a thermal mug that was easier to carry than a bowl

"Surprisingly Kelly was the one who got suspended. She's suspended pending an investigation into her behaviour, Fran got detention for a week and we're confined to school grounds at lunchtimes" She explained and I picked up my phone so Rosie could finally see my face and I could finally see Rosie.

"Hey Rachel" Another face popped up on the screen behind Rosie

"Beth!" I exclaimed "Is the drama department falling apart without me" I laughed

That week Louis was surprisingly distant, I wondered if he had forgotten about our One Month anniversary. I texted him a few times but he either came back with distant one word answers or completely blanked me altogether. I asked Faith for advice on it because she was the only one I knew with a boyfriend, I FaceTimed her for advice

"What's going on then to make you think he's ignoring you" She asked

"Well he's not replying to my text messages and when he does he just replies with one word answers. It's our one month anniversary on Saturday and I'm worried he's forgotten" I said chewing my lip anxiously

"I'm sure he's not ignoring you or forgetting about your anniversary. There's probably a really good reason for him being distant. He's on the football team and I know because you haven't stopped going on about it for the last few weeks that they have a big game coming up that you're Cheering at so he's probably getting ready for that. You should be focusing on getting yourself better so that you can be out there cheering for your man instead of worrying about trivial things" She explained

"I guess that makes sense and I think they have mock exams as well. In other news Fran almost got suspended for fighting with our sworn enemy" I giggled

"Are you still feuding with that Kelly girl?" She asked "Hasn't this been going on since you were in like Year 5 at Primary. Isn't it petty to still hold a childhood grudge?"

"I guess but it's her that won't let it go, Did I tell you Me and Louis got nominated for Prom Queen and King, technically I'm only in the running because you have to nominate couples and I'm dating a Year 11. So Kelly decided to put up posters of us all over the school about how our relationship is overcoming adversity so Fran scraped her" I laughed

"Sounds interesting. Anyway I've got to go I promised Emma I'd work on our duet for the showcase, I'll talk to you later Rachel" She hung up on me
