Chapter 4

~ Time skip to a year later ~

I was with Itachi nii-san on training grounds. A year has already passed and I am way better at Taijutsu though I don’t get to train with Itachi nii-san as much as I would like but I understand that he has his work too.

So I had mostly trained by myself or had been playing with Naruto and others. I and Sakura are still not talking. I will hold a grudge against her till she actually apologies and proves it to me. But forget about her back to the training I guess.

“Itachi nii-san I have learnt and memories all the hand signs. So can you teach me ninjutsu? Pretty please”, I begged with puppy dog eyes.

Itachi nii-san narrowed his eyes at me, “They don’t teach hand signs until this year end. How do you know them?”.

“Uhh… well.. library… “, I trailed off not knowing if I should not have done it.

Nii-san sighed, “Well if you really know hand signs then show me. If they are not proper then we will continue with Taijutsu. I don’t think you should learn things ahead of time. It’s not a good thing”.

“But why is it not good? Shouldn’t shinobi and kunoichi be strong to protect their village?”, I questioned tilting my head.

“Well they should be. But you are still a kid. You should play with others your age rather than training so much. It is not a good thing. There are people who didn’t have the luxury to be kids when they were supposed to be. They were treated like adults”, Itachi nii-san explained.

“Nii-san don’t worry about me, okay? I play with kids my age when I have free time. But I also focus on training. There are some girls who just are fangirling. It’s annoying. They should rather train themselves than being useless”, I pouted.

Nii-san just sighed. So I continued, “Well nii-san next time let’s play okay? I will be playing just like you wanted me so don’t worry. And you were talking about yourself, weren’t you nii-san? So let’s be children together, okay? Bring Shisui nii-san too”.

Itachi nii-san smiled at that as he replied, “Well how can I say no to you? I’ll bring Shisui-san with me next time if he is available, don’t worry. I’ll let him know in advance”.

“Now sensei let’s train”, I yelled happily. “I’ll start with showing hand signs as I memorized”, I said.

I showed him all the hand signs perfectly. I had practiced them after all. I need to do my best in things.

“Impressive. You learnt them well. So let me start with explaining about chakra types then. It will help you understand things better. Then we will find out your chakra type tomorrow and being practicing a few jutsu that you might be able to do”, Nii-san told me.

“But sensei why tomorrow? Why not today?”, I asked pouting.

“Because we need a special paper to find out your chakra nature. But do remember my explanation today”, he replied.

“Hai sensei”, I said giggling. I knew it annoys Itachi nii-san but he should be used to it by now.

“Basically there are five types of chakra nature and they are foundation of all ninjutsu: Fire, Wind, Lightning, Earth and Water. Everyone generally has chakra that falls under one of these nature’s. I won’t be explaining Ying and Yang chakra nature now. All of these has advantage over one and disadvantage against another. Here, look at this scroll”, Nii-san said handing me a scroll.
