(Y/N) hums as she flips the calendar in her office, a small smile appears on her lips and her eyes softened at the sight.
"....So it's december tomorrow, huh?" She looked up reminiscingly, a particular memory surfacing in her mind- a memory with the man she loved.
"Achoo!!" (Y/N) had a series of sneezes coming in one after the other as she and Sougo walked back to the Shinsengumi Compound. "Ugh, I hate it because it's so cold now. I get cold so easily!!" (Y/N) whined loudly, pouting sulkingly she crossed her arms over her chest.
"....Here," Sougo glanced at her before he casually threw his sweater at her head. "Hey!! What was that for?!" (Y/N) growls in annoyance, grabbing the sweater and narrowing her eyes at Sougo.
"You said you were cold- I'm being a gentleman here you know?" Okita comments casually, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly while still keeping that monotone look on his face.
"What?! Gentleman?? You??? Is the world ending??? Oh no!"
"....Just shut up and wear it. On second thought, give it back- I'd rather watch you suffer!" Sougo scowls, trying to reach for his sweater but (Y/N) quickly wore it.
"Blegh!! No take backs!!" She stuck her tongue out at him and dashed away. Sougo sighs softly and placed his hands into his pockets.
The corner of his lips started tugging upwards slightly, "Well...It looks better on you anyways."
"What??? Did you say I was cute or something?"
"Nothing!!"
(Y/N) giggled softly all to herself. That was last year, she and Sougo had grown even more closer over the passing days- and her love for him was growing with each and every day too.
"What're you giggling all to yourself about?" Sougo's monotone voice snapped her out of her delusions. Turning her head to the direction of his voice, she sees Sougo leaning against the doorframe of her office- arms crossed one over the other and he had this teasing look on his face.
"Did you finally go crazy? Or....." Sougo trails off with a smirk. "Are you crazy about me?"
"Eww, get over yourself Sou-chan!" (Y/N) wrinkled her nose in disgust and stood up. Her (E/C) eyes travel down and she internally chuckled when she saw Sougo wearing that same (F/C) sweater.
"Is it sweater time already?" She snickered gesturing to the sweater he was wearing and Sougo rolled his eyes.
"It's cold. Now, come on- We have to get there before Hijikata-san does so I can put tons of tabasco in his mayonnaise."

"Aah!! Sou-chan, it's cold!! Stay beside me." (Y/N) whines, when Sougo moved apart from her. She was using him as a shield from the cold weather but Sougo decided to let her go cold all by herself.
"What? Am I your personal heater or something?." He rolled his eyes sarcastically while (Y/N) grinned. Today, they were going to buy medical materials again, (Y/N) tightly hugged the bag of medicine she had in her hand as she shivered when the cold wind blew through her skin.
"Hey, Sou-chan- come closer to me! It's so cold-" (Y/N) turned to look back at Sougo but she paused when she saw Sougo standing, staring at someone.
(Y/N) frowned when she looked at Sougo, there was this soft look in his eyes, and even the corner of his lips were slightly tugged upwards at the sight. She then followed his trail of sight and saw her.
Those blue eyes shining so bright, pale skin and vermillion hair- It was Kagura from the Yorozuya House. (Y/N) furrowed her eyebrows worriedly- was this actually the reasonn he picked a lot of fights with her?
He wanted her attention?
Slowly, (Y/N)'s grip on the bag tightened and she looked down. All this time- she had been falling in love with him but he was falling in love with someone else.
"Hey, quit spacing out you idiot." She felt Sougo suddenly flick her forehead and when she looked up he was walking away with his hands in his pockets.
"W-Wait....It's not confirmed yet!! Ahahahah! R-Right?....I still have a chance, right?" (Y/N) asked herself in an unsure voice, she turned to look at Kagura who was walking Sadaharu and (Y/N) shook her head
"Hey, do you wanna stand there all day?" Sougo calls out irritatedly at her.
"H-Hold on!! I'm coming!"
As they walked away, bright blue eyes followed after (Y/N)'s figure.
"Well, what an interesting human~" A smirk appears on his lips as he spoke to himself, eyes locked on (Y/N).

"Sou-chan, what do you think?.....Curry or Ice cream?" (Y/N) was sitting opposite of Sougo in a cafe. She was going over tons of documents but Hijikata was growling and shouting about in the Headquarters so (Y/N) asked Okita to accompany her outside instead.
"I think that she's a messy eater." Okita held back a chuckle, and (Y/N) furrowed her eyebrows in confusion at what he said- which was completely unrelated to her question- he wasn't even listening to her.
She looked up and saw Okita leaning his chin on his palm, his red eyes looking straight at something that was beyond (Y/N)- but there it was again, that soft and gentle look in eyes that she rarely saw.
(Y/N) clicked her tongue and whipped her head around to find Kagura sitting with Shinpachi, Otae and Gintoki- Kondo-san was under their table as well. Kagura had a bunch of food stains, and crumbs around her mouth as she ate up everything on the table.
".....I'm dying here, Sou-chan." (Y/N) sighed deeply and planted her face on the table with a lost look in her eyes.
She felt her eyes sting as tears threatened to fall. She didn't even need to ask- Sougo wasn't a very expressive man, and because of that monotone look he always had no one could easily tell what he was thinking or feeling.
But (Y/N) knew- she knew because she's been with him for the longest time.
Right now, he looked peaceful, happy and.....gentle.
He looked like he was in love.
'I don't even need to ask him....that look says it all, Sou-chan- you found someone you love, huh?.....Why couldn't you find me instead?' (Y/N) smiled bitterly as she looked back down at her paperworks.
Suddenly, a tear drop unwillingly escaped from her eye and dropped on to her papers. She quickly gathered them up and stood up, making Sougo look at her.
"S-Sou-chan!! I-I forgot something at base! I'll be back to you later!!" She hurriedly says, turning around so he wouldn't see her face she quickly scampered away leaving a confused Okita in the cafe.
As (Y/N) was running out of the cafe, she had her head hung down so she wasn't really looking at where she was going- this was when she bumped against someone.
"I-I'm sorry!!" (Y/N) squeaked out, instinctively looking up at the person she had bumped into with those teary (E/C) eyes of hers and her bottom lip quivering.
"You're-! Why-....." The guy gasped, feeling hurt at the sight of her crying. Gently, he lifted his hand to her face and wiped her tear with his thumb- a gentle yet hurt expression appearing on his handsome face.
"Why is an angel like you crying?"
(Y/N) looked at the unknown man in question and she saw it- Those same blue eyes looking at her tenderly.

"...Hold on......" (Y/N) grumbled softly, getting up from her futon. It was in the middle of the night when she heard a bunch of loud knockings on her door.
She lived with the guys at the Shinsengumi Compounds since she was their doctor so she had always be on call. She squinted her eyes when she opened her door and saw Okita standing there.
"Sou-chan?......" (Y/N) rubbed her eyes open, and blinked repeatedly when Sougo slumped his body against her. "(Y/N)....." His voice was hoarse, husky yet tired.
There was an intoxicating scent coming off from him- it was alcohol. "Sou-chan, did you go drinking?!" (Y/N) gasped, grabbing Sougo's shoulders to steady him but he was too heavy.
"Why did you even come here?- Huh??? HOLD ON!! S-Sou-chan!!!" (Y/N) gasped when Okita snuggled closer to her and she ended up losing her balance and they fell right on her futon.
"...My back hurts," (Y/N) groaned in pain and when she opened her eyes she saw Okita looking down at her, he was hovering over her- his red eyes seemed dull, but clouded with intense passion.
Okita brought his hand up to cup her cheek and he smiled. "You look so cute right now," He whispered lowly, looking at her with the softest and most genuine look she had ever seen on his face.
"Sou-chan, what-!"
Before (Y/N) could finish speaking, his lips collided with hers in a passionate kiss.
"S-Sou-chan?!"
Right after the kiss, Sougo had passed out leaving a blushing (Y/N).
".....So cute.....you stupid china girl..."
"......" (Y/N) sharply inhaled, then she gulped and slowly pushed him off to stand up. Her fingers reached up to touch her lips which still had that lingering feeling of his lips on hers
"....Why the hell would you kiss me and still think of her?"

"Damn that Sougo, where did he even run off to?" Hijikata grumbled under his breath while he and (Y/N) were walking along the streets. "Probably off planning your death, Toshi-chan. Hahaha, you have to watch out~" (Y/N) joked, forcing a smile.
But right after saying that, her smile dropped and she sighed. "Hey, what's up with you nowadays?" Hijikata mumbled casually, placing a cigarette on his lips he lit it up and glanced at (Y/N) with his scrunitizing blue eyes.
"What do you mean?"
"Well....." Hijikata looked at her and sighed, "You don't seem like yourself. I can tell when your smile is fake you know?" Hijikata grunted and released smoke from his mouth.
"Did something bad happen lately? Yamazaki's been telling me how you don't go out too often with Sougo now too."
"Ahahaha. Your concern is unnecessary, I'm totally fine-!"
"Oh, Hijikata-san! There you are, I've been looking to kill you since earlier this morning." (Y/N) was cut off when Okita suddenly appeared, mysteriously coming out from an alleyway.
"Oi! That isn't something you'd normally say to your superior though?!" Hijikata yelled but Okita only ignored him.
(Y/N) looked at Okita analyzingly. Somehow, his clothes were a bit... messed up, his hair wasn't as fixed and proper as it usually was- and he especially liked styling his hair properly.
"Sou-chan... where have you been?" (Y/N) asked, her eyes narrowing softly at the male who just shrugged his shoulders.
"Here and there planning Hijikata-san's death."
As they passed the alleyway, (Y/N) saw a blur of vermillion pass by from the corner of her eyes and she saw Kagura running out from the same alleyway Okita was just in- what's even more shocking was that-
She wasn't wearing just her usual china dress but- she had a (F/C) sweater on- a familiar sweater that (Y/N) always saw on Sougo- the same sweater he used to lend her before.
"....I see," (Y/N) lowered her gaze and bit her lip. Her chest started tightening but she desperately tried to remain calm.
It was all coming together like a puzzle piece.
Watch as she stands with her holding your hand

"Jeez, it's so cold~" (Y/N) sighs to herself as she rubbed her hands together in front of her and even tried blowing on them to warm her hands more.
"I really hate getting cold." (Y/N) shivered as she sniffed and looked up. Today, she was out on personal errands- She hasn't seen Sougo anywhere recently and Hijikata was always busy and Yamazaki- was always out on stake out missions with anpans so she couldn't really bother him too.
"Y-You sadist!!"
"How cute- are you a tsundere, china girl?~"
(Y/N) froze when she heard those familiar voices nearby. She gulped nervously and continued walking and then she saw Kagura up against a wall, and Okita trapping her between his arms.
Kagura was desperately trying to hide her blush by lifting her arm up to cover her cheeks while Okita was smirking, admiring yet enjoying the look on her face.
"......Don't tease me like this." Kagura pouted, gently lowering her hand, she grabbed Okita's big hand and laced her fingers with his.
"....L-Let's start with something simple like this, got that?! I'll punch you hard if you try anything!"
"....Really...." Okita had a surprised look on his face before he smiled lowly and placed his other hand on Kagura's cheek.
"But, what if I don't want to?"
Snow started to fall and drop down on the ground. With the snow, (Y/N)'s tears dropped to the ground too. She stood a few meters away from them- but she could see perfectly well the way they locked eyes and parted their lips in anticipation as they got closer and closer.
Kagura looped her arms around Okita's neck while Okita placed his other hand around her shoulder, pulling her closer to him. Those blue eyes of hers were staring into Okita's red eyes so passionately.
(Y/N) started sobbing, tears falling to the ground one after another. She lifted her hands to cover her mouth- trying to muffle her sobs the best she could so they wouldn't hear her.
'This isn't fair- I'm the one who's always been by his side, why.....why can't I be the one he loves???'
The snow started falling down harder and harder. (Y/N) felt cold and numb- and her heart was in pain, she couldn't think straight.
Suddenly, a scarf was placed around her neck, and an umbrella was lifted over her head. (Y/N) sniffed and tried to wipe her tears away, she looked up at Sougo and Kagura- they were about to kiss-
Those same lips that took her first kiss-
But just before she could see their lips connect she was turned around and pushed into a man's chest. She could feel the man place his hand on the back of her head as if telling her not to look.
"....I don't want to see my angel cry again." He muttered lowly with a sigh, he held the umbrella up over the two of them while (Y/N) continued crying.
Letting her tears soak into his clothes- she had only met him a number of times yet he always seemed to be there whenever she needed someone.
"Why.....do you...." (Y/N) sniffed, as she whimpered and looked up at him. "Always appear when I'm crying so ugly like this?" She forced a laugh and her (E/C) eyes met those blue eyes of his.
"I don't know. Maybe it's fate?" He chuckled, grinning at her and (Y/N) smiled weakly.
"That's stupid- for all I know you could be a pirate or something."
But how could I hate her? She's such an angel
But then again, kinda wish she were dead
"Then goodbye." (Y/N) bows respectfully to Gintoki and Shinpachi- they got caught up in one of Okita's ploys to kill Hijikata so she went over to personally apologize and treat their wounds.
She left the Yorozuya House and was already walking back to the Shinsengumi Headquarters when all of a sudden she hears someone yelling for her from the distance.
She stopped and saw Kagura grinning at her. "(Y/N)-nee, you left your handkerchief!!" Kagura says as she held the handkerchief out to her.
"Oh....Thank you, Kagura-san." (Y/N) smiled, taking the handkerchief from her hands. Then, Kagura's stomach growled- Kagura blinked her eyes slowly and (Y/N) stifled her laughter.
"Ahahahah, would you...want to go eat out with me? As it turns out, I haven't had dinner yet." (Y/N) says as Kagura grinned and eagerly nodded.
'Well....she is cute.'
(Y/N) and Kagura sat opposite of each other in a small restaurant, she watched as the yato happily ate the food excitedly.
"(Y/N)-nee, you're so cool! I look up to you!!" Kagura cheers, her blue eyes sparkling with excitement while (Y/N)'s eyes widened, taken aback.
"....Hahaha, Kagura-chan, you're too cute. Eat up~" (Y/N) smiled softly as she sighs happily.
Kagura wasn't a bad person- she had the sweetest personality, the brightest blue eyes and the cutest and purest smile (Y/N) had ever seen. 'No wonder he fell for you,'
"Thank you for the treat, (Y/N)-nee!!!" Kagura happily waved goodbye as she enters the Yorozuya House. (Y/N) watched her go in before she started walking away too.
Silently, she shrugged her hands into her pockets and looked at the ground in contemplation. "How could I hate her? That angel?...."
(Y/N) let out a troubled sigh and looked up at the big, bright moon. ".. Things would've been better if she had a bad personality."

"(Y/N), stop drinking now and I'll be kind enough to carry you home."
(Y/N) blinked, looking up from her cup of alcohol she turned to her side and saw Okita standing beside her.
"YOU SADIST!" Then, an empty bottle was chucked at Okita's head- which he skillfully dodged without even trying. Okita raised an eyebrow and looked beside (Y/N) to see a drunk Kagura swaying from side to side.
"What are you doing here?-Hey, aren't you underaged? Why are you drunk?" Okita had his eyebrows furrowed as he clicked his tongue when he saw Kagura.
"Oh, Ahahahahah! Ahahahaha!!" (Y/N) suddenly started laughing as she pointed at Kagura. "I came here to drink but I ran into her! I treated her to some ramen and ordered alcohol for myself- but every time my order came my alcohol mysteriously disappeared!!" (Y/N) exclaimed.
"....Okay?....This isn't really an ideal situation for me." Okita sighed as he face palmed- thinking of how the Yorozuya Boss would react when he finds out his adopted alien daughter was drinking underage.
"You know Sou-chan, today?...." (Y/N) slurred as she leaned her chin to rest on her palm. "I did something veeeeerry brave!!"
"Oh?" Okita arched an eyebrow in curiosity, "What did you do today then?"
"I.....gave up on love."
"....That's not a very brave thing though," Okita hissed lowly, feeling confused. In all the years he had been with her- she never spoke about someone she liked. Was she secretly in love with someone?
"Do you have someone you like? Who is it?" Okita decided to jump on the chance- (Y/N) was honest when drunk, and she rarely got drunk too so it was the perfect opportunity.
(Y/N) went silent- and then she stared at him for a long time. Okita sweat dropped, her (E/C) were fixed intensely at him- if he didn't know any better he would've thought she was referring to him.
".....Why does it matter? I told you I gave up on it didn't I? I'm probably the bravest woman out there as a warrior of love!!"
"....Fine, fine. You are brave- but why did you give up? If you love someone doesn't that mean you have to try your best for them?" Okita responded monotonely, his red eyes carefully watching her expression to see what it was she was hiding.
"I had to give up so he would be happy." (Y/N) looked at Okita with the softest look in her eyes, her eyebrows furrowed worriedly and her smile sincere yet gentle.
"Sou-chan, you have someone you love right? When you do, you want to do everything and anything you can to make them happy." (Y/N) sighs lowly, "I'm the same....I've been watching him all my life- but, I think it's time for me to let go of him. He's finally happy-"
"I'm not gonna get in between them- I'll just watch you, with her....be happy....." (Y/N) closed her eyes softly, her eyelids fluttering close with each passing second.
Okita looiked at her, and he sighed and placed his hand on her hair. He smiled softly and spoke,
".....If I didn't know any better, I would've thought you were talking about me." Sougo poked her cheek and smiled.
"Hey! Sadist is mine! He's my little chihuahua!!" Kagura suddenly growls, tugging on Okita's wrist but due to her yato strength he was thrown right into the wall.
"I wasn't doing anything!! But before that, Sou-chan was mine!" (Y/N) pouted as she and Kagura stood up and glared at each other.
A drunken catfight never really ends well.
"Alright. That's enough." Okita sighs, looking disapprovingly between (Y/N) and Kagura- both their hairs were a huge mess, a bunch of scratches splayed across their faces after their little drunken fight.
"Alright. We're going home." Okita sighs exasperatedly, (Y/N) looked up hopefully but saw Okita assisting Kagura.
(Y/N) lowered her eyes and sighed, "Oh...."
"(Y/N), I'll come back for you after I drop her home."
(Y/N) softly laid her head on the counter and let out a deep sigh. She felt abandoned- he really made his choice clear to her. That between her and Kagura, Okita would always prioritize Kagura over her.
"....So I really mean nothing to him?" She scoffed and stood up, placing the bill on the counter. As she made her way out, she stumbled and lost her balance.
However, a strong grip kept her in place. (Y/N) squinted her eyes at the man and sighed, there it was again- Those blue eyes. He smiled gently at her, then he easily swept her off her feet and carried her in his arms like she was lighter than a feather.
"You live at the Shinsengumi Headquarters right?"
"Hey- what's up with you showing up everywhere around me?" (Y/N) giggled softly, locking her arms around his neck as she softly laid her head against his chest.
She might not know him well- but something about him seemed like she could trust him.
"I dunno~ Maybe I'm drawn to you or something. But, I do know that I like the feeling of having you in my arms~" He cheekily replied while (Y/N) laughed.
"...You're a weird guy. But, thank you- really."

"What? Sou-chan, did you bring me home last night?" (Y/N) looked at Okita with wide eyes, the woman did not remember anything from yesterday's events.
"What? Did you forget everything?" Okita fakes a sigh and shook his head in disappointment. "I-I....I didn't do or say anything...weird right?" She covered her face with her hands and looked at Okita shyly.
"....Hm," Okita smirked, looking up in deep thought. "Why should I tell you?"
"....Nevermind." (Y/N) sighs, as she ran her fingers through her hair frustratedly. "Well, if I ever said something or did anything....I was drunk so it doesn't count and I wasn't thinking- probably." She stood up suddenly walked away.
'I knew why he kissed me that night he got drunk- it was Kagura he was seeing. But, when I'm drunk or sober......all I see is him.' (Y/N) hought as she clenched her fist and locked herself in her office.
She slid down the door and hugged her knees to her chest aa she tried to muffle her sobs.
"Giving up....hurts."
Okita looked at the direction (Y/N) just went to, then his eyes fell on to the glass of water she sipped from- with no hesitation he grabbed her glass of water and downed it all in one gulp.

(Y/N) looked up from the book she was reading and saw them. Okita held Kagura's hand as they walked side by side- Kagura's face was full on red while Okita had the widest smirk on his lips.
(Y/N) softly exhaled through her nose and shut her book close. A small smile appeared on her lips as she watched the two.
Kagura was wearing Okita's (F/C) sweater- the one she used to wear. Okita looked at her with love in his eyes, and she looked at him with those blue eyes so warmly.
They really were in love.
"What? So, You're not gonna cry every time you see them anymore?"
(Y/N) looked up and saw those blue eyes peering down at her from above. His face mere centimeters away from hers.
"What a shame. I kinda liked the face you made whenever you cried." He playfully teased.
"Hey," (Y/N) narrowed her eyes at him sassily, He moved back as she arched an eyebrow at him.
"You know it's unfair that you keep popping out of nowhere and that you've seen my ugly-crying face a bunch of times but I still don't know your name." She asked, crossing her arms over her chest while he chuckled amusedly. "I thought gentlemen always introduced themselves first or something?"
"Hm....I'll tell you my name in exchange for something." He smirked, as he sat beside her on the bench, leaning closer to her.
"Well, what is it?" (Y/N) cluelessly asks while he grabbed her hand and lifted it up to his lips.
"Let me steal your heart from him." He placed a kiss on the back of her hand and looked up at her with a smirk. Those blue eyes looking at her warmly but sincerely and full of love.
"......." (Y/N) blushed and smiled. "Sure, go ahead and try~" She giggled as he smiled.
"My name is Kamui."
