Philia: *gets up* Ugghh! *grabs a hammer and smash her alarm clock*
*SMASH*
Philia: Its morning already. *gets up and do some stretches* Time to do my daily morning routine! *fixes her bed and walks toward the calendar to check the date for today.*
Philia: Wait the minute... *checks date* Todays my birthday? Then that means... today is Russia's birthday. *looks at another reminder* Its our date today! OMG! I gotta go and get ready *grabs her towel and was running towards her bathroom door, she took a shower for a few minutes till she's done once she's out of the door, wet with a towel wrap around her body, she notice a huge white box with a blue ribbon on top of her bed*
Philia: Huh? Whats this? *opens the box* O_O
~Inside the box is a gorgeous eyelet white dress that reached mid-thigh, cream wedge sandals that reached 2 inches, and a necklace with a ruby pendant~
Philia: Wow! This is so beautiful *grabs the dress and looks at herself in the mirror, she looks at the inside of the box to see a note*

Happy Independence Day and you know that means Happy Birthday! We love you so much. We heard that you're going out with Russia. So we prepared a gift for you to wear on your date. We hope you like it.

Philia: *wipes a tear in her eye* Awww, maraming salamat talaga kuyas. Just like last year you made this so special. *Philia picks the dress, shoes and necklace and wear it* Perfect fit! It even has my size. My brothers know me so well. Now to add some light make-up! *she grabs her make-up kit and starts fixing her hair*
~30 minutes later~
Philia: And done! *winks herself in the mirror* Now to eat breakfast and go out!
~Philia got out of her room not before she grab her handbag with Russia's gift on it, just in cue she open the door, her brothers surprise her with a confetti, balloons and banner, Philia laugh at this and cried happily after that they eat breakfast together with the food Del prepared. After breakfast. Philia volunteer to wash the dishes but Martial decline that he'll be the one to clean and she should go outside and enjoy her date with Russia because the young countryman is now at the front door~
Philia: Ruski! *runs towards him and hug him* Happy Independence Day!
Russia: *hugs her back* Happy Independence to you, Sunshine *kisses her*
Del: Ooy! I'm still here! 😑
Philia: Kuya! *blushes*
Del: Now go away and enjoy your date and birthday. And Russia bring her back by 10.
Russia: Of course, Comrade.
~The young birthday couple, went out and ride on Russia's Lada Vesta to go to their dating spot. They stop by at the Rizal Park and enjoy the scenery. Out of nowhere, People walk towards them and they were surrounded and showered them with birthday presents and flowers. And they start chanting~

Russia&Philia: Thank you, Everyone!!! *the young couple cried and smiled happily as they accept all the endless flowers and gifts*
~With all the gifts and flowers they received. They put it back inside Russia's car and drive away after an hour of traveling their now in their destination~
Philia: Awww Ruski! You shouldn't have.
Russia: Only the best for you, Sunshine
Philia: Its also your birthday! So we celebrate together *chuckles*
~Russia took her to one of the most popular restaurants in the Philippines, Casa Roces~
(A/N: Ahh Casa Roces, the first time I eat here is with my bestfriend when I visited his hometown. Ahh good memories. I wish I can go back and eat there again with him.)
~The two sat down by one of the best spots in the restaurant, a balcony surrounded by lushes of greens and exotic plants. On cue one of staff walk to their table and ask them their order~
Waiter: Goodmorning! Ma'am and Sir! Welcome to Casa Roces. I'll be your waiter for today. So what do you like to order?
Philia: Hmm *looks at the menu* I would like a Blue Cheese and Mushroom Pasta and Cranberry Nestea please
Waiter: Right away ma'am. How about you sir?
Russia: I would like the same order as her. Also add Choritos en Balsamico for appetizer, and for dessert, two slices of Pistachio Sans Rival.
Waiter: *nods at this* Okay sir. Your food will be served right away *walks away*
Philia: *sighs* Oh Ruski! This place is so beautiful. Its been a long time I've visited this place.
Russia: Well I heard from Martial that you miss going to this place. So I made that wish come true.
Philia: Salamat! Oh I almost forgot! *gets something from her bag and pulls out a gift wrapped in russian flag color* For you, Russia! *gives the gift to him, with her cheeks go red*
Russia: *he blinked dumbfoundly, before a warm happy smile blossomed in his face, as he gently grab the the gift from her delicate hands* Awww, Sunshine *he gently opened the present to reveal a red silk sweater, black snowflakes on the side with the russian flag on it*
~Russia's face slackened into a beautiful awe as he examine the texture of the fabric that Philia struggled not to let her own jawdrop wide open at the sight of it~
Russia: Sunshine, you shouldn't have.
Philia: I should. *with firmness in her voice* It's the very least I can do for everything you've done for me.
~Philia didn't mean of all the things Russia court her or the times he showered her with affection. She meant all of his other acts of friendship since they had known each other, for all the times he loved her even when she certainly didn't deserve it. She think. She nibbled her lip anxiously as Russia remained silent as he examined the quality of her needlework.~
Philia: Do you like it? *nervous look in her eyes*
~Russia folded it up carefully and placed it back in its wrapping before he, with all the care and put it down on the floor. He then grinned brightly~
Russia: Oh Sunshine. I don't like it *gently caress her hand* I love it.
~There is another painfully long silence as Philia blushed with pride, happiness, and a little embarrassment. She didn't know what to say other than stare down at her hands modestly and inwardly dance for joy.~
Russia: *chuckles* I also have a gift for you too *he grabs a small paper bag with the philippine flag color on it and gives it to her* Open it
Philia: *she gently grab the paper bag and open it. Inside is a small box. She gently open it and inside is a rose gold band ring, a love heart only there was a crown above its head and it was sitting comfortably between what Philia could only assume was some sort Celtic knot. It was stunning*
(A/N: I know I'm being ambitious but I've always dream of one day someone will give me this. Or any kind of jewelry that represents a celtic knot ring or incase a Claddagh ring. Its not harm to be showered with gifts especially if that guy truly loves you wholeheartedly. )
Russia: It's called a Claddagh ring. *he explained* It's an Irish tradition
~Russia then plucked the box out of her hand and so very carefully pulled the ring out. The band of rose gold looked more delicate and fragile between Russia's fingers so he needs to be careful. His other hand took hold of Philia's right hand~
Russia: You see if you wear it this way *he says as he hovered the ring above Philia's ring finger with the ring with bottom of the heart pointing towards her fingers* With the point of the heart facing your fingertips that means your heart is free but. *he twisted the ring the other way* If you wear it this way, with the point of the heart facing your wrist, it means your heart is taken*
Philia: Aww Russia! *cried* This is so beautiful! But this is too much! I'm not worth it! Or those expensive things you did for me.
~Russia looked at her directly in the eyes with such a piercing gaze that Philia could have sworn he was looking directly into her soul. It was incredibly unnerving.~
Russia: *carresses her cheek and wipes the tears away* You are worth every single penny in the world and even then that doesn't cover your true value. *whispers* You're priceless.
~Philia swallowed at that. She didn't think even her family thought that highly of her and she knows they loved her to pieces~
Russia: Not that you're something to be brought! *he blurted out anxiously* I'm not trying to buy you!
Philia: *quick voice* I know you're not!
Russia: Just...don't worry about it, Sunshine. *kisses her hand* Now where should I put this *he holds the ring and the other hold her hand*
Philia: *smiles* My heart is already taken so you have to put my right hand with the heart facing inwards.
Russia: *smiles brightly at this, as he puts the ring on her finger and he caress her hand with the ring on it and kisses her hand. He then suddenly speaks in Phil's language* Mahal kita, Philia (I love you, Philia) Happy Independence Day
Philia: *smiles so brightly like you can literally see she's radiating like the sun. She then speaks in Russia's language* ya tozhe tebya lyublyu, Ruski (I love you too, Ruski) Happy Independence Day too you.
~After that sweet moment the two continue their chatter till their food arrives and enjoy the rest of the day celebrating their independence day together~

And finally its done! I know its kinda late but I hope you all enjoy the fic. This morning I've found out that today is Independence Day here in my country, Philippines and also in Russia. I had to make fast and write a fanfic celebrating my Motherland and Russia's independence day aka their birthday. Good thing I post this before midnight strucks. Or maybe its already past midnight. 😢 oh whatever! 🙃
