They've been together for almost 6 years and it had been 2 and a half since the virus disappear and politics have gone more smoothly. Peace has brought back and no more danger. The countries can finally relax... but not for Martial. For the past 3 and half years, he has been battling with his own mind. To ask her or not. Countless of times he was going to do it but he backed out. Every time his tongue would get twisted like a tiger had caught it from the depths of his throat. Plus that tiger would hunt the bottom of his stomach, making it much harder to concrete.
Tonight, he was nervously waiting at Malaysia's guest room door, with the small red velvet box in his sweaty hands which were trembling so hard. His heart had that aching feeling, the one from where you're really nervous. Not just the butterflies in his stomach. It's more like the tiger was leaping at the butterflies.
Suddenly, the red velvet box slipped out of his hand and onto the polished chestnut floor. He dashed for the box. Feeling it back in his hands made him feel relax. He opened and checked the jewels, making sure none of them fell out of got scratched.
No scratches... Phew! What a relief
He thought and he stood back up and fixed his suit. This time, he slipped the box into his pocket. He can't afford to damage it on the night he's going to propose to her. He paced back and forward. Can he really do it this time and not going to freak out? The sound of the door opening made him jump.
"Martial, calm down.", Malaysia giggled. He sighed. He knew he was being silly. When he looked at her, he couldn't help himself to let his mouth drop.
"Y-You look amazing." He complimented.
"Awww, thank you.", She squealed and wrapped her arms around his neck. Martial wrapped his arms around her waist. "Are you cold? Why are you shaking?"
"I-I'm just nervous..." He admitted and looked at the floor board.
"Sayang, we had at least over than many dates, I don't know why you're so nervous so lately. Are you sick?", She asked, her topaz yellow eyes staring into his heterochromia red and blue eyes.
"Of course not!" He exclaimed as he moved pressed his lips againts her rosy pink ones. Before it got too passionate, he pulled apart. "I want to take you somewhere."
"Where?"
"Secret~"
"Awww.", Malaysia pout as Martial chuckled at her cute expression. He's eyes averted to her outfit and took the time to examine her dress. It was an evening cerulean flare dress with a shimmering netting over the top and matching shoes. She let down her silk blue hair with small twin braids on the front with white ribbons around it. And she wore light make up. To top it all off she wore her latest masterpiece - a black leather jacket that MPaja gift to her and then spent weeks embroidering blue and white flowers all over it. The green stems weaves up her arms, round her back, and finishing just over her left breast as tons of little blue and white flowers bloomed all over it.
"Well since you're ready, lets go!", He smiled and led her out of the house and ride on Martial's red and black motorcycle to go to their destination.
Malaysia could feel the cold wind blowing against her hair and it was still dusk because of the sunset and a couple of clouds in the sky. After riding for a few minutes, they stopped and Martial carried her bridal style and placed her down gently. Malaysia looked around and realized that they are at the beach as she could feel the sand from her feet.
"Why are we at the beach?", Malaysia asked.
"Well. It is our date and why don't you stay in here for a bit? I just remember something."
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going to check something out." Martial told her and kissed her cheek before leaving. He walked over to a huge white rock, surrounding the place are small lanterns which lightens the whole room, up above are stars twinkling to add the effect and a sweet music serenading the whole room. In the middle of it was MPaja, waiting for Martial as he guarded a picnic mat with food, wine and a candlelight stick in the middle.

"You sure you got this covered?", MPaja asked as he walked over to Martial.
"Yeah, thanks a lot."
"If she says yes, don't you dare break her heart otherwise I'll break every bone in your body, got it? She's my only family."
"MPaja, I promise to love and protect her with my whole life. Thanks so much for everything, pre.", Martial said.
"Good but I still warned you.", MPaja muttered and left.
Martial smiled at this as he wave MPaja goodbye. He quickly ran back to the spot where he left Malaysia. He offered his hand to her.
"I still got something to show you." He whispered in her ear.
"What is it?"
"You'll see but first I'll have to blindfold you."
"What? Martial, that's not fair." She pouted and he laughed as he tied a black cloth over her eyes. Being her guide, Martial leaded her to their romantic dinner spot.
"Ok, sit down here... Be careful though" He said as he mention the small rocks around.
Malaysia nods at this. Martial moves closer to her as he unknot the clothing around her eyes and let it dropped from her face. She gasped as she saw the picnic and the beautiful scenery. "Martial! It's wonderful!" She exclaimed and wrapped her hands around his neck. He laughed as he got pushed down.
"And I cook your favorite dish." He told her.
"Awww, thanks, sayang! You're the sweetest boyfriend ever!" The words spat at him. It stung his heart. He wouldn't be her boyfriend anymore if he had enough courage.
'Now or later?', He asked himself. Then he decided after dinner. The tiger started to pace around in his stomach. He needs to be quick before the tiger realizes what he's doing and grab his tongue again!
"Come on, let's eat." He smiled as he poured her a glass of wine.

"That was so delicious, Martial." Malaysia smiled. "You really had done a lot for me. I haven't done anything back for you."
This is it. This is his chance. And he knew it.
"There is one thing.", Martial said nervously.
"Don't be afraid Martial. Just tell me." And she grabbed his shaking hand. He looked away and turned his back to her. He can't do it. He's afraid of what her answer might be. Yes. He acts like a coward now. He can't help it. But he needed to tell her how much she means the world to him. He reached his trembling hand into his pocket and wrapped his fingers around the red velvet box. When he turned around, he could see Malaysia's puzzled face.
"Martial?"
"Malaysia, ever since we first meet my heart always leap in joy whenever I gaze at you. Your smile always make everyone's day better. We begun to love each other more than anything else. I never thought that we could be together forever but now here we are still together and our bond is stronger than anything else. I love you with all of my heart, Mallie, you are my light, my moon, my destiny, my life, my true soulmate! I want to be by your side no matter what. Mahal na mahal kita, Malaysia!"
Martial got down on one knee and brought out a red velvet box and opened which revealed a gold band ring with little diamonds that are shaped like waves all around the ring with a huge sapphire stone in the middle.
"Will you marry me, my precious moon?", he said with a voice full of hope.
"Martial", Malaysia whispered tears filled in her eyes. He sighed. He knows that tone. The tone of rejection....
"YES! YES I WILL MARRY YOU!"
Martial's eyes widen from the news as Malaysia cried happily and tackled him in a hug and kissed him on the lips. Martial felt the tiger purring in his stomach, the butterflies had escaped. When the young couple broke apart. Martial slid the ring on her middle finger and Malaysia smile at how beautiful it was. She give him another peck and hugged him while resting her head against his chest.
"I love you", Malaysia whispered to him.
"I love you too, my queen.", Martial stared at her lovingly and whispered back and kissed her forehead.
This may be the end of their journey, as boyfriend and girlfriend, but this is a new beginning of their journey together as a soon-to-be married couple.
