You sat on the couch, mildly flipping through a random magazine that somehow made it's way into the Mukami mansion.
"Hey baby." The couch dipped next to you, making you slide a little in the direction of the person who sat down.
"Hey vampy" you smirked a little at the nickname, knowing your boyfriend absolutely hated it, you glanced up to see the familiar sight of Yuma trying to come up with a comeback to your nickname.
"Don't laugh at me." Yuma told you, making you shake your head.
"I don't know what you're talking about, I didn't laugh at you."
"Yeah, not yet." Yuma slung his arm over your shoulders before looking at the pages of the magazine you were currently on.
"Whatcha readin'?"
"A magazine."
"No duh, but what's it about?"
"Dunno, I just picked it up 'cause I was bored and it's been a while since I've seen one." You shrugged as you adjusted your position so you were leaning against him.
"Well if you're bored...I think I know something that can help with that." Yuma hummed in an innocent-but-not-really tone, his hand delving under your waistline, making you jump before turning to him with a tired look in your eye.
"Yuma, no offense, you're great and all but I'm not really in the mood for that right now."
"Oh..." Yuma adjusted his position on the couch as his hand retreated from your inner thigh and instead rested itself on your flank, he looked back at you as he put his hand to your forehead.
"Hm?" You looked up, wondering what he was up to now.
"You look tired, you feeling alright?"
"Yeah, I'm just a little bored is all. I'm fine really." You insisted, Yuma retracted his hand from your forehead as you adjusted your position again so you were closer to him and more comfortable. Yuma watched you carefully before opening his mouth again.
"Are you sure you're not confusing bored and tired?" He asked you, noticing how your eyelids would close for more time than needed when you're blinking.
"No, I'm fine" you answered with a slight mumble, giving away your tiredness.
"Really now?" Yuma asked you, now it was his turn to have a smirk on his face as your eyelids continued to close for longer and longer periods of time.
"I...I'm just resting my eyes" you whispered, as Yuma couldn't help but roll his eyes.
"Fine, I guess that's alright, my brothers have caught us doing worse." You weakly punched his thigh with a small 'shuddup', making Yuma chuckle.
"Alright, alright, I'm sorry for bringing it up, sheesh. You just rest your eyes as long as you need to baby." Yuma whispered the last part as he pressed a kiss to the top of your head, making you smile and cuddle into him a little more.
I know he's a vampire and all, but still...it sucks that he doesn't have a heartbeat... you thought to yourself as you drifted off to sleep.
