Kid's POV
What happened to me?
I hated her.
But now....
His eyes couldn't seem to leave you. He was bubbling over with questions, and unnameable emotions.
What is happening?
You and Emma were constructing a weird pillow/blanket fort thing in front of the TV, and giggling.
She is putting everyone's lives in danger.
You looked up at him, and smiled. He blushed.
And yet I can't think coherently when she's around.
WHAT IS THIS?
"Are you mad at me? Because since we got back, you've been making weird faces at me."
You asked him.
"No! Nope! Not at all!"
He fumbled with the pillow in his hands.
You cocked your head at him.
"Well, I think your face is mad at me."
You joked, smiling. He snorted a little.
"Maybe, because you gave me a small heart attack by being GONE SO LONG."
She laughed.
"I was a bit busy not being murdered by Paul, and passing out in a limousine."
And there was that sting again, which he tried to convince himself was not jealousy.
I'm worried about her well being.
Not the fact that she was in a limousine with two preposterously rich, preposterously handsome twins who have already shown interest in her, who are everything that I'm not....
Not. At. All.
He twisted a string of his not blonde, not brushed hair with his finger.
Should I brush it?
Would that be too weird? To be brushing my hair in her house? And then that might draw attention to how messy it is-nope, definitely not brushing my hair-
You were giving him a weird look again, and he came over to help you and Emma, silently mulling over ways to brush his hair incognito.
I don't even know how to wear a tie-
"You're making that face again."
Emma observed. (Y/N) was looking at him.
"Are you okay?"
You asked.
He cracked a smile.
"As okay as I can be after running away from a maniac who is dating my mom."
He deadpanned.
"So, my friends, what shall we do tonight?"
You asked.
"G rated things only!"
Her mom said, poking her head in.
"Yeah, yeah, we're 14!"
You shouted back.
"Some of us are 12!"
Emma shouted.
"Netflix?"
Kid suggested.
"Yeah!!!!"
Emma said, throwing up her arms, and whacking Kid in the face.
"Ow."
"Sorry!"
"Or..."
You said mischievously.
"We could play truth or dare.."
"With three people?"
Kid asked supiciously.
"Noooooo."
You said.
"We could call our friends! It would be awesome!"
Kid really did not want to do that, especially considering who your friends were. But, he also didn't want to disappoint you.
"You should ask your mom if it's okay to have that many more people over."
Kid said, assuming her mom would say no.
"Of course! It's so nice to know that my daughter is making friends!"
Her mom said, lurking in the doorway.
Damnit!
"She used to be antisocial, you know."
Her mother continued.
"She spent a lot of time with some-"
"Mom! Out! Go! Bye!"
(Y/N) squawked.
Antisocial? (Y/N)?
WHAT?
Before he could ask any questions, (Y/N) whipped out her phone and started contacting people.
After a few minutes, she turned to look at Kid.
"Okay. From what you've told me, if Penny sees Lily or Billy, she will go full laser, so I can't invite Lily and Billy and Penny at the same time..."
"Just Lily and Billy."
Kid replied immediately.
(Y/N) gave him a hurt look, which made his heart sting slightly.
"I knew you would say that."
"And-"
He added.
"If Penny comes, her mother could be spying on us through her eyes."
(Y/N) sighed.
"I still can't believe she's a robot."
She said softly.
"Okay, you two need to start explaining things!"
Emma cried.
"ROBOT?"
Kid sighed.
"Lily can explain this to you. Tomorrow. Now hush."
Emma huffed, but she did indeed 'hush'.
(Y/N) went back to typing.
2 minutes later, she turned to Kid.
"Okay. Lily and Billy have literally nowhere else to go, because they switched from living part time at home, to full time beneath the school, so those two are coming, Nugget's coming, Carla said something about some weirdo named Melvin Sneedly courting her, so she's coming partially to see us, and partially to escape him, (Am I the only one that thinks Erica and Carla look alike?
)
Monty's coming, Carla gave me Ozzy's phone number, and he's coming-"
"Wait we're inviting Ozzy?"
Kid asked exasperatedly.
"Why not?"
"He's an idiot!"
"Well, when did that ever stop anyone from doing anything?"
"Touche."
"Monty gave me Jerome's phone number, and I didn't completely get what he said, but I don't think he's coming, because he called me an idiot about 50 times, and then hung up-"
"That little-"
"Now hush. Ted and Felix may or may not be coming. Their butler wouldn't give me a straight answer."
"TED AND FELIX?"
"Yes, I feel like I owe them for saving me an' Emma earlier-"
"I won't let you!"
"I don't care about whether or not you 'let me', as this is my house, and you have no authority over me!"
"This is stupid! This is so stupid!"
"Ugh! You are so stubborn!"
After about 10 minutes of this, people began arriving, and Kid was quiet.
The sleepover had begun.
