A few minutes after the Grand Idol Festival
"God, please let me make it!" I say to myself as I run through the night with Alisa in tow.
"This is one of the challenges of dating girls in 2 different bands!" Alisa yells unhelpfully.
"I know! That's why I'm going to go there even if I'm late! I'll accept whatever punishment I receive!" I yell back.
"Even if that involves you know, the kids thing?!" Alisa yells and I can just feel the sadistic smile on her face.
"SHUT UP ALISA!!! YOU'RE NOT HELPING!!!" I yell as we continue running. I really shouldn't be shouting at her, she did kind of warn me about this before I told Pastel Palettes I'd watch them at the Grand Idol Festival.
After running for a couple of more minutes, we were able to make it to the venue just in time for the event to start. Thank God. We make our way to our seats, sit down and catch our breaths. This music event is Roselia's last chance to get into Future World Fes this year and I can't afford to miss this.
Soon opening remarks are done and the bands start playing. They have some pretty good bands here, but I still believe in Roselia. Eventually it was Roselia's turn to perform.
"We are Roselia, we'll be performing, LOUDER." Yukina tells the audience and the audience cheers.

Roselia finishes the song and the audience erupts into cheers. But it felt as if they weren't exactly on top of their game.
Soon all the bands had a chance to play and it was time to announce the bands that would make it to Future World Fes. The announcer begins listing the bands that make it and Roselia isn't mentioned. I can feel my chest tighten as the announcer prepares to reveal the last band that'll enter Future World Fes. I hold my hands together and hope that Roselia is mentioned.
"And the last band is, Roselia!" The announcer says and I let go of the breath I didn't know I was holding in. They made it... Thank God they made it...
"Looks like their dream of entering Future World Fes came true." Alisa says.
"Yeah, but now it's a matter of winning Future World Fes." I say.

3 days later [Yukina's POV]
Roselia is at CiRCLE rehearsing different songs while contemplating which one to use for Future World Fes. It's proving more difficult than we originally thought to choose a song to use.
"Let's take a break, yeah?" Lisa suggests. A break sounds about right.
"Yes. Let's take a break." I agree with Lisa's suggestion and everyone puts down their instruments.
"What do we do? We can't seem to narrow down a song choice." Sayo says.
"What about Determination Symphony?" Ako suggests.
"No, it doesn't feel right somehow." I say.
"I agree." Sayo says.
"Look at us, having difficulty choosing a song to play. I wonder if this is how (Y/N) felt when he still thought about choosing one of us." Lisa says. I feel a sharp pain in my chest when Lisa mentions that.
"Yukina?" Lisa looks at me in concern.
"Huh?" I let out.
"Are you alright?" Lisa asks.
"Yes, I just remembered how Sayo, Shirasagi-san and I pressured (Y/N) into making a choice. I still feel horrible about it." I say.
"Yukina. That's all in the past now. We're together with (Y/N) now and nothing is going to tear that apart." Lisa says.
"You're right." I nod.
"(Y/N) definitely proved himself when he did everything to bring us back together." Sayo says.
"Yeah, he was definitely a knight in shining armor!" Ako exclaims.
"Despite the pain... and agony he felt... he had the strength... and courage to make up... with everyone..." Rinko says.
"Shirokane-san, I don't think you're in any place to be talking about pain." Sayo brings up.
"I'm sorry..." Rinko says in a depressed tone.
"I didn't mean it like that." Sayo says as she places a hand on Rinko's shoulder.
"You know, I think our sound became something more when we have (Y/N)." Lisa says. "We barely could keep it together when (Y/N) disappeared."
"Before we knew it, he became someone important to all of us." Lisa adds.
"Yeah, and now he's our super awesome boyfriend!" Ako exclaims. I still find it hard to believe that I'm actually dating (Y/N) now, especially to share him with Roselia and Pastel Palettes. But I know we'll make it work, we've been through so much with him.
Just then I hear a sound. Or... this sound... it feels like it's always been there... ever since... we met (Y/N), this sound has followed me, I look slightly up to see Lisa, Ako, Sayo, and Rinko have all frozen up too, we all had the same look on our face, this isn't a coincidence, we're all hearing the same thing, this sound slowly allures us back to our instruments as a natural process that we've never done before begins to bewitch us with its new form.

2 weeks later [(Y/N)'s POV]
Alisa, Mr. Minato and I just arrived at the stadium where Future World Fes is going to take place, the same stadium that the Grand Idol Festival took place and Pastel Palettes won over 2 weeks ago.
We were given VIP tickets so we were in the front row once more and take a seat in the Exact same place as last time. What a coincidence.
"Who knew that we were gonna go into the same stadium twice for different reasons?" Alisa wonders out loud.
"Who knows?" I say as I shrug my shoulders.
"I heard from Yukina that they will be performing a new song that they made." Mr. Minato tells us.
"They made a new song?" I ask.
"Yes, she said that you 'helped them find this sound.'" Mr. Minato says.
"I did?" I wonder out loud.
"She told me to tell you to look forward to it." Mr. Minato tells me with a small smile.
"Then I will, more than before." I nod with a small smile of my own.
Soon the event starts and opening remarks are made. The bands start playing, they have so many skilled and talented bands here, I can see why Roselia aimed to be here. Eventually it was Roselia's turn to perform.
"We are Roselia, and this evening we will be playing a new song. Neo-Aspect." Yukina tells the audience.

I quickly sprinted as fast as I could when I had gotten the message from Ako that Sayo would be waiting for me in the Park a small distance away. After arriving I see that Ako is no longer there, just as she said, Sayo wanted to have a one on one with me, my nerves were rather immense as I steel myself being ready for anything.
"So, there you are." Sayo starts, rather coldly too, this is going to be a long and hard fight to try to make up with her, but I would do it ten times over for her, or any of the others.
"I'm... really glad to see that you're at least doing alright... I couldn't even look at Alisa and Hina if something were to happen to you..." I say, knowing full well that's exactly how I felt, only furthering the strength of my resolve to see this through.
"Is... that so... how is... Hina doing?" Sayo asks.
"You could probably tell... She is your sister after all." I assure to her.
"So... I'm taking a large guess with this, but... have you made a decision if you're trying to make up with everyone?" I knew this question would come eventually, clever girl she is. Very smart and a mouth that can eviscerate those who oppose her.
"Yes, yes I have... you're very likely to hate me... and you'll probably walk away from a statement as selfish and conceited as this... but as long as we can at least be friends... that's all I need." I make a pause before Sayo gives me a look that could only be interpreted as telling me to go on.
"I... want to be with all of you... you're all so close, like your own families... and... each and everyone of you have so many amazing things about you... all equally endearing... making a decision was the most stressful thing I had been through... the stress being the very thing that caused us to break apart in the first place..." Sayo's eyes go wide as I say this, if she is as clever as she's reasonably made herself out to be, she likely thought something along the lines of he was extremely stressed out before me, Minato-san and Shirasagi-san cornered him.
"Are you sure that's your answer?" Sayo asks me.
"Yes... it's... well... se-" I stutter.
"I'm not talking in the tone of it being selfish and conceited because it isn't. I was asking if that's what you truly want." Sayo says.
"I... fail to see how it's not selfish and conceited..." I say weakly.
"Are you sure that you want to date someone who willingly stressed you into making a decision when you were carrying the heaviest burden your life had ever been forced to carry? Much less 3 people like that?" Sayo tells with a tone of guilt.
I contemplate Sayo's words. I can understand her logic... But my heart is telling me otherwise. I do want to be with all of them. I'm sure that they didn't intend or want something like this to happen. We all made mistakes that lead us here and I'll be damned if I let things stay this way. I'm sure of it, I want to be with them all.
"Yes, yes I do, because those that are willing to make decisions like that are the ones who care the most, they're the ones who aren't scared to tell you when you're wrong if it moves them closer to a greater good, and... Rinko once told me something... she's told me this twice... and only the second time could I finally understand... what she meant by it..." I say.
"And that is?" Sayo asks.
"Family shares everything." I say.
"Family... shares... everything?" Sayo repeats. Family just occurred to me as my relationship with Sayo progressed that it is very important to her, I mean, despite their differences Sayo still made up with Hina, and her relationship with everyone in Roselia was very telling of a very special bond that they formed... a bond... that I broke... but, just as any Rose wilts, a seed will bloom elsewhere.
"You and I both fell into darkness, within that, I know that you and I both felt an infinite loneliness. But I refuse to remain alone, and for that I did everything in my power to bring all of us back together." I tell Sayo.

I knock on the door of the Udagawa Residence shortly after I had arrived, alone this time.
Tomoe answers the door as I smile and give her wave as Tomoe beats me to the punch.
"Ako's awake, she's in the living room." Tomoe tells me.
"Can I talk to her?" I ask.
"Go on ahead." Tomoe says.
I enter the living room and Ako looks up to see me, a look of many mixed emotions very apparent on her face, I decide to break the ice.
"Hey, Ako. I'm glad to see you." I say with a small smile.
"(Y/N), is it really you?" Ako asks, a look of disbelief on her face.
"Yes, I'm here." I nod.
"(Y/N), you really did come back..." she says as tears begin to fall down her cheeks.
"(Y/N)!" she yells as she runs towards me, wrapping her arms around me and burying her face in my chest, I envelope her with my own arms as she continues to cry.
"I'm sorry for leaving you Ako." I say.
"No, I'm sorry... I must have put you into a horrible situation when I left you. When you left, when everything fell apart. I fell into a dark place. I can't help but feel that I also lead you into a similar place." she says as she continues crying into my chest.
"I can tell, but I swear to you... no matter what, I'll never leave again, I'm no longer going to run in fear from my decision, I've finally made up my mind." I gently tell Ako.
"Thank you... thank you so much... for returning... for encouraging mother and father to play again... for... saving me... from the darkness... Thank you..." She continues to sob.
"I'll hold you, no matter what, your soul... it's... beautiful... prouder... braver... brighter than any I've ever seen... let that instill enough pride into you, hold it high, go forward, and say you play for what you believe in on stage." I tell Ako. Those words... they hold a special kind of power... what is it... trying to tell me? Something deeper than my affections... but... what?
"I also want to tell you another thing Ako." I say.
"What is it?" she asks me.
"Remember when I told you I had an answer?" I say.
"Yes." she nods.
"That answer is that I want to be with all of you. It's selfish and conceited but that's how I feel, I like all of you." I say.
She then moves away, facing away from my chest, and looks up to me and grabs me by the collar and pulled my face down and smashed my lips against hers. Moments later we separate.
"I accept thy feelings." Ako tells me. I smile at her, a hint of pain in my eyes only further proving to me how conscious I am of my decision, No matter how much I may hate myself for the girls loving me, it cannot govern me anymore. Too much is on the line for those I care for to let something happen.

"Yukina..." I call out to her as she's facing the opposite direction. I guess she still doesn't want to look at me... No, I can't lose my resolve here. There's too much at stake here.
"Just say what you want to say..." Yukina says in a cold tone.
I close my eyes and take a deep breath before opening my eyes again.
"First of all, I'm sorry for causing all of this to happen. For keeping everyone waiting, for being weak and for leaving all of you. I know my words can't possibly make you forgive me. But I want you to know that... I never wanted to hurt anyone. Ironically, what I did caused what I never wanted to happen. I... tore Roselia apart. That's why I'm doing everything in my power to bring us all back together. To bring Roselia back together. I refuse to remain weak, I refuse to remain alone and I refuse to leave things as they are. I want us all to be together again. That's why I want to make up with everyone, including you Yukina." I tell Yukina.
"Why should I believe you?" Yukina says, once again in a cold tone.
"If I was lying, would I even bother standing here explaining myself? To put in the effort to make up with everyone? To dedicate each and every ounce of energy I had to make things right?" I say.
"..." Yukina just remains silent.
"Back then you asked me for an answer. The truth is, I had one. But I didn't want to say it without everyone present." I say.
"W-what was it?" Yukina asks.
I take a deep breath.
"My answer, I don't care how selfish and conceited it is anymore, is that I want to be with all of you!" I tell Yukina.
"What?" Yukina says.
"My feelings for all of you are too strong for me to choose just one of you. All of you are special in your own way and I like each and everyone of you." I say.
"You want to be with... all of us?" Yukina asks.
"Yes, I want to be with you all, everyone in Pastel Palettes and Roselia." I say.
"Is that the truth?" Yukina asks as she turns to face me. I can see tears streaming from her eyes.
"Yes." I nod determinedly as I slowly approach Yukina and stop just in front of her. "It's the truth."
"Your voice... I will go ahead for you until you're ready, call it destiny, but, soon, your eyes, soon, you will know Brightness, once you can say One More Time, I'll be there. I'll be by your side through the darkness and the light. I'll be by your side for as long as I live." I declare.
Suddenly Yukina pulls me onto her bed and pins me down.
"Do you mean everything that you said?" Yukina asks.
"Every word." I say.
Then Yukina slowly lowers her face until our lips connect and I return the kiss. After a solid minute we part.
"I accept your feelings and I'm sorry... for pressuring you." Yukina says.
"Funny... I wanted to thank you for that exact thing." I reply.
"You wanted to thank me for rushing you? W-why? Look at everything that happened because of it." Yukina attempts to counter.
"It's because of you pressuring me that not only can I have the confidence to finally confess my feelings after knowing how wrong it could have been... but it made me fully realize something that had constantly followed me until this point." I say.
"And that is?" Yukina asks.
"Family shares everything." I say with a tenderness in my voice to drive home what Rinko tried for me all that time ago.
"Family... shares... everything..." Yukina repeats, just as Sayo before.
"Yes, both the good and bad. Through joy and pain." I say.
"Now, do you have it in you to go face Roselia?" I ask Yukina.
"I..." Yukina says in an unsure tone.
"I'll be with you." I assure Yukina as I place my hand on Yukina's cheek.
"Okay..." Yukina says with a small smile. "But..."
"What?" I ask.
"Can you lay with me just for a little while?" Yukina answers with a question, I happily oblige as I also rapidly startle her by hugging her to me and then leaning my head against hers. She slowly embraces me as my journey has finally met its end.

"Everything I ever wanted to know about myself you showed me, but there's more I want to know about everyone! Only you can show me that!" You let me see your heart, and in turn allowed me to understand my own, you altered my perception of the world for the better.
"There's so much left for you, there are so many people's lives you're a part of. There are so many people who want to give you their friendship and I want to give you my love... please..." We need you, please don't die in us, please fight it, we need you, all of us, we won't be able to be who you suffered for us to be if you leave.

Stay Alive... in this instant, I beg you... Stay Alive, I need all of you to know how strongly I feel." Everything I could say has been spoken, not a single word could escape my mouth now. There weren't any words to do such a thing anymore, I watch as more tears pour down as they cover up the room. leaving Rinko's fate eternally a mystery to us... until that door opens...

As the song finishes the entire stadium erupts into deafening cheers. I'm left speechless, sound refuses to leave me as Alisa cheers and Mr. Minato claps. I could resonate with the song, it's as if they could read me like an open book.
Soon the remaining bands had their turn to play and it was time to announce the winner of Future World Fes. All of the bands are assembled on stage, awaiting the results.
"We had such great talent and performances this evening. But now it's time to announce the winner of this year's Future World Fes!" The announcer states and the audience cheers.
The announcer goes through the third and second places both of whom were talented and skilled bands and received large sparkling trophies. Now it was time to announce the first place winner. I turn to the side and see Mr. Minato with a serious look on his face. If I had to guess, he's hoping for his daughter and her band to win.
"And in first place we have, Roselia with their song Neo-Aspect!" The announcer says and the entire audience erupts into cheers as they receive the largest and most sparkling trophy. Alisa and I cheer at their success as Mr. Minato claps with tears in his eyes.
"I'm so proud of you Yukina." I hear Mr. Minato say.
"(Y/N)-san, thank you for being there for my daughter when she needed you most." Mr. Minato tells me.
"You're welcome Mr. Minato." I say.
Just then Ako suddenly jumps down the stage and quickly approaches us before she starts yanking me with her nigh Herculean strength onto the stage
"Oh boy, I hope she doesn't get any ideas when she learns that she's stronger than me." I think to myself.
Soon enough she drags me onto the stage to Roselia and they hand me the trophy.
"Thank you (Y/N)." Yukina says.
"This wasn't possible without you." Sayo says.
"Yeah, this is all thanks to you." Lisa says.
"You're our knight in shining armor!" Ako exclaims.
"As a Knight... you were our guide through the shadows..." Rinko says.
"You're welcome." I say and I raise the trophy high in the air and the crowd cheers.
"How did you come up with the song?" I ask as I lower the trophy.
"Well, just like you we couldn't make a decision, so we made a new one. With everyone." Lisa tells me.
Just then all the girls of Roselia suddenly kiss me on the cheeks, in front of thousands of people. I blush very red as I could hear some cheers from the audience.

5 days later
Me, Alisa, Pastel Palettes and Roselia are currently at Roselia's summer house looking at the first place trophies of the Grand Idol Festival and Future World Fes in 2 cases side by side.
"You girls really did it, didn't you?" I ask.
"Yup, we did." Aya says with a large smile.
"Yes." Yukina says with a small smile.
"I know, I didn't do anything, but I still can't believe it." I say.
"What are you talking about? This is all thanks to you!" Lisa says.
"Lisa-chan is right dear." Chisato says.
"I still think this was all due to the effort and hard work you all put in." I say.
"Nuh-uh (Y/N), you can't fight your way out of this compliment. I know you knew we were slightly off before we entered Future World Fes." Ako declares.
"That's right, so just stand there and accept the compliment (Y/N)." Maya says.
"Or are you trying to say that your girlfriends are wrong?" Sayo says while crossing her arms.
"Yeah, and we're always right!" Hina chimes in happily.
"I didn't say you were wrong." I defend myself.
"We wouldn't have the strength to fight on if it wasn't for you." Eve says.
"Yes... you give us strength..." Rinko says.
"Thanks, it means a lot to hear that." I say.
"Hey (Y/N), I think it's time." Alisa says.
"Oh yeah." I say.
"Lisa, Maya, Rinko, you ready?" I ask.
"Yes!" Lisa, Maya and Rinko exclaim.
"What's going on?" Aya asks.
"Just sit back and enjoy the show." I say.
Alisa, Lisa, Maya and Rinko go pick up their instruments and I step up to the microphone.

"Yeah, after all... the of ten them... they're My Pastel Roses." I say with a smile on my face as I look at Pastel Palettes and Roselia.

It's time I came clean about this... I... personally... went to certain lengths that severely threatened my mental health... in order to make sure I actually knew what I was writing about... and above all else, to make sure (especially to those who have friends or who themselves had been going through particularly troubling issues) that the bond between (Y/N) and the girls would leave no question that it likely would work out in the end, if you're wondering, I'm doing A LOT better now, so no need for that question. JAM was always there for me, just always remember, friends are the most important thing you can have when rough times roll around, hold them, don't let them go, because as many learn, you never know how important something is until it's not there.

Well, this is it, the end of Pastel Roses. The story is complete. I didn't think it was possible in the beginning but here we are. The story was finished just 9 days shy from it's 6th month (3/16/2019-9/7/2019). I want to thank you, the reader, for reading and supporting this story. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is one of the greatest achievements I've ever accomplished in my entire life. It was quite the journey and I had fun on it with you. Sadly this journey has come to its end. Once again, thank you very much for everything!
