You fell, yes you fell. But why… why are you still alive? Your surroundings were burning and you feel like you were burning but it doesn’t hurt. Your body glows, just like Killian’s. “So, this is what Extremis does.” You can feel it through your veins, you chuckled as you see it glows. “Fucking, amazing.” Then something explodes at your top, then you realized, Tony, he would probably think that you were dead.
“No more false faces.” You heard Killian said, not far from you. You saw a pole beside you. You grabs it and walk towards him. “You said you wanted the Mandarin. You're looking right at him.” He continues, “It was always me, Tony.”
“Tony. This is it, you hurt my baby, I’ll fucking kill you.” You whispered, walking slowly towards Killian.
“Right from the start. I am the Mandarin!” Killian shouted, towering over Tony.
You sway the pole and hit Killian hard, sending him away. You look at Tony, breathing hard.
“I got nothing.” Tony said, looking over your form. Shocked that you were still alive.
Then a suit flies towards you, both of you looks up, “Jarvis, subject at my 12 o'clock is not a target, disengage!” Tony exclaimed.
Still looking at the suit, you noticed that the suit’s Repulsor were powering up. You just look at it and it attacked you. “Fucking-” you growled, you look at Tony angrily.
“What?” He asked. You didn’t say anything and run towards him. “Oh, what, are you mad at me?”
You take your whole force and stepped on his knees and jump towards the Suit and punch its Reactor. You forcefully slumped it down on the ground and slings your arm to its arm. Killian was about to attack you when you hit him hard again.
“Whoo!” Tony shouted.
You didn’t think about the pain, all that you wanted is to kill Killian. You saw a little missile from Tony suit, you kicked it towards Killian, who is just standing up from your punch, and aimed the repulsor at the missile and hit it. The missile exploded together with Killian, sending his body parts everywhere.
You looked down and pants. Clearly, exhausted with everything.
“Honey?” Tony called.
You looked at him, “That was really violent.” You said and walk towards him.
Standing up, “You just scared the devil out of me. I thought you were...” He said to you.
“I was dead. Why? Because I fell 200 feet?” You said on him, he was about to say something when nothing comes up. “Who's the hot mess now?” You smirked.
“It's still debatable. Probably tipping your way a little bit.” He said, putting on his earpiece. “Why don't you dress like this at home? Hmm? Sport bra. The whole deal.”
“You know, I think I understand why you don't want to give up the suits. What am I going to complain about now?” You told him.
“Well, it's me.” He smiled a little, “You'll think of something.” He said and about to touch you.
You took a step backwards not wanting to hurt him, “No, don't touch me.”
“Don't worry about it.” He said, trying to touch you again.
“No, I'm gonna burn you.” You said.
“No, you're not.” He said as he touch your arm, “Not hot.”
“Am I gonna be okay?” You asked him, worriedly.
“No. You're in a relationship with me. Everything will never be okay.” He said, looking at you softly. “But I think I can figure this out, yeah. I almost had this 20 years ago when I was drunk. I think I can get you better with your help, of course. That's what we do. We fix stuff.”
“And all your distractions?” You asked him.
“Uh... I'm going to shave them down a little bit.” He said, then he taps his earpiece, “Jarvis. Hey. You know what to do.”
“The Clean Slate Protocol, sir?” JARVIS answered.
“Screw it, it's Christmas. Yes, yes.” Tony said, then he hugs you.
You sighed and hugs him back. You look up at the sky and the suits started to explode like fireworks. You watch it in awe and smiles.
Tony kisses you, “Okay, so far? Do you like it?”
You sighed again, “It'll do.”
“Don’t scare me again, (y/n). I thought, I lost you.” He said, hugging you like he will lose you once again.
You hugged him back, “I’m sorry.”
He sighs, “It’s fine, baby. Just don’t do that again.”
“I love you.” You said.
He loosens his hug and looks at you, “I love you more.” He said then he kissed you and of course you gladly kissed him back.
You and him being safe were enough for you for a Christmas present.
