Your Dedication

The thought of not coming home to you hurts me.
All I want is for you to hold me.
Your warmth that helps me sleep,
Is something I crave every night.

So many people ask me about you.
They wonder how we are.
It isn't their business but the culture here has them asking me anyway

Many assume you've already left me.
Little do they know, I told you to.
I told you to leave me, to be happy without me.
And yet... You said no.

You tried and you didn't like it.
Rather, you didn't feel comfortable.
So instead you stop trying and continued to think about me.

Our love is deeper than I can believe.
You are the support I need emotionally.
You don't want me to give up.
Even if our future is inconclusive,
I know that our love will never disperse.
