(Y/N)'s Pov
There he was. Why didn't he tell me? He owes me an explanation.
"(Ex/bf)?"
I asked as he spun around and glared at me.
"I saw you... I saw you with that girl... You kissed her..."
He didn't say a word. We stood there in the darkness of the street. I was waiting for an explanation. He must have a good reason for doing that, right...? He finally spoke.
"Yeah. I'm tired of you. We are not okay."
He spat. My eyes widen. I could feel my heart break at his words. I gripped my necklace he had given me in pain. Tears formed in my eyes.
He didn't say a word. He walked into his car and drove away. He left me, we were over. Rain started to poor down into this dark street. I felt myself fall onto my knees. This was my first love. He was the first to go. This isn't happening to me... This can't be happening to me... Tears fell down onto the cold floor along with the gloomy rain. I cried in the the cold night.
"This can't be happening..."
I muttered to myself. Where am I supposed to go tonight?
Matt's Pov
I was walking down the street. It was really dark here... better get home soon. I had to go out and buy something real quick and I was just heading home. I sighed in frustration. But then I took notice of two dark figures not far ahead. They seemed to be fighting. I didn't want to be nosey but...
"Yeah. I'm tired of you. We are not okay."
I heard the man figure spat at the girl figure. I could feel the pain she felt. I felt sorry for her. She feel onto her knees. She seemed to be crying. I wanted to reach out to her and help her. It had started to rain. The man just drove off, leaving her cold and alone in the rain. I gripped my chest. I'm going to go help her. I slowly walked over to her.
"This can't be happening..."
She muttered under her breathe. Wait, that voice... Is that... (Y/N)...?
"(Y/N)?"
(Y/N)'s Pov
"(Y/N)?"
I heard a familiar voice call my name. I opened my eyes and spun my head towards the voice. I squinted my eyes.
"M-Matt?"
I asked as I slightly saw the figure of the ginger in the darkness. I felt his hand pet my damp (H/C) hair.
"It is you..."
He muttered sounding a bit shocked. We were both soaking wet from the rain. I was cold.
"Matt what are you doing out here?"
I said rather coldly. I sniffed. He pulled his hand away from me. He seemed to hesitate in his words.
"I-um... I was just going out shopping and I must of lost the time... I... I saw what happened..."
My eyes widen. Oh no... He saw everything... I felt my eyes flow up with tears once again.
"O-Oh..."
I managed to say.
"Are you okay?"
Matt asked as he reached out for my hands.
"N-Not really..."
I sniffed. He grabbed my wrist and helped me up. Once I was up on my feet, he pulled me into a hug. It wasn't a very warm one, but it was... nice...
"Well then. If you're not okay, then I shall carry you!"
He cheered and pulled me up so he was carrying me. We were face to face. His hair was wet so it had fallen slightly over his face. We looked at each others eyes. I felt my face burn up so I looked away. I heard a light chuckle coming from the ginger. I turned to look at him frustrated.
"H-Hey! What are you l-laughing at?!"
I asked embarrassed. He smiled at me.
"Nothing! You're just so cute when you're mad!"
He smirked. I frowned. (Ex/bf) used to say that. I felt tears form on my face once again. I glared in another direction and wiped my tears away. I felt Matt's expression turn into a regretful one.
"S-Sorry..."
He muttered quietly.
"L-Let's just take you to my place to get you changed..."
I laid my head on his shoulder as he carried me to his place. I didn't have anywhere to go since I used to live at (Ex/bf)'s place. Now that we're over... I can't go back. I hugged him tightly so I wouldn't fall off. I closed my eyes, just to rest them.
After a few minutes, Matt finally spoke.
"We're here."
I opened my eyes and pushed away from him. He took that as a signal to put me down. He set me down on the floor as he searched his keys for his front door. He inserted the keys into the lock and opened the door.
"Hey guys!"
Matt called as he walked in.
"Hey Matt!"
Edd called. I peaked inside slowly as I hid behind Matt. I guess they took notice of me.
"Who is that?"
Tom asked as he took a sip of his flask.
"Guys, you remember (Y/N) right?"
He pushed me in front of him. I waved awkwardly.
"Oh yeah! Man you guys are soaking wet! You need to change before you catch a cold!"
Edd said in a worried tone.
"Yeah we were. (Y/N) is going to stay the night. Maybe even longer. Something happened that I don't want to bring up."
I knew exactly what he was talking about. I made a painful expression as the memories flowed back.
"Okay. (Y/N) you can sleep where Tord's room used to be."
Edd said. I simply nodded.
"Thanks..."
I muttered quietly. I felt Matt grab my hand. I felt my face slightly burn up. That feeling again... it feel exactly how I used to feel for (Ex/bf)... He pulled me into an almost empty room that had a closet, a bed, and a mirror. He let go of my hand.
"This is where 'Tord' used to sleep supposably... I'll be back with some dry clothes in a minute. Make yourself at home!"
With that he walked out of the room. I just sat there awkwardly waiting for him to get back. I couldn't sit on the bed or else I would get it wet. I sighed. How did I get myself in this mess? Edd passed by.
"I'm going to sleep. Night (Y/N)!"
He waved as he passed by.
"Bye Edd.."
I wave back slightly. Then after a few minutes, Matt came in with some dry clothes. He had already changed. He was wearing a white shirt and his black boxers. I slightly blushed as he started approaching me.
"H-Hey (Y/N)! I brought you some dry clothes!"
He set them on the bed.
"S-So ah... We don't have any girl clothes in the house because obvious reasons... S-So I'll just let you borrow mine! Sorry if they're too big on you... I would ask Edd but he already went to bed, and Tom hates me so I can't really ask him..."
He laughed awkwardly. I just slightly nodded.
"It's alright...! I'm going to change now so..."
I looked over at the door.
"O-Oh! Yeah sorry!"
He walked out the door, closing it in the progress. I turned my gaze to the neatly piled dry clothes. I pulled off my wet shirt and threw it on the floor. My bra was slightly wet but I didn't mind. I took the big purple hoodie and slipped it on. Wow he was right, this was big. But it was comfortable at the same time. I snuggled into it's warmth. I pulled back the sleeves so I could actually see my hands. I took of my jeans and threw them next to my wet shirt. I pulled on some yoga pants and tighten them so they wouldn't fall off. I felt so warm in Matt's clothes. I walked over to my wet clothes and picked them up. I walked over to the door and opened it. I walked down the hall to see Matt sitting at the kitchen table. He took notice of me and immediately looked up. His eyes looked up and down at me. A blush appeared on his face.
"H-Hey (Y/N)! Err... S-Sorry... It's just strange seeing you in my clothes..."
He pulled his shirts collar and looked the away from me while sighing.
"...cute..."
I heard him mutter something under his breathe. I was gonna ask him what he said but I just shrugged it off.
"Anyway... I need to try off my clothes..."
"A-Ah yes! Follow me!"
He walked pasted me, out the kitchen. I followed him down the hall and into the laundry room. He opened the door. We walked into the room. He open the dryer's door and took out his clothes. He look over at me.
"Put your clothes in. Mine already finished drying."
"O-Okay."
I shoved my clothes into the dryer and clothes it. He dialed in some stuff and it started spinning my clothes so they could dry. I looked over at Matt.
"Now what?"
I asked him.
"Now... we wait! Wanna come with me up to my room? I need to leave my clothes in there anyway."
He asked me with a hint of excitement in his voice. I nodded.
"Sure."
"Follow me!"
He cheered and I followed him upstairs. We finally arrived. The attic seemed to be his room.
"Welcome to my room! I don't think you have been here before!"
He smiled childishly. I smiled, he seemed happy. His smile... (Ex/bf)... I bit my lip. Matt set his clothes somewhere in his room then ran over to me.
"Want to see my novelty toy collection?!"
He asked excitedly. I smiled awkwardly.
"Hah ah... I'm good..."
I laughed awkwardly.
"Awe okay..."
He looked away for a bit. Then he turned his attention back to me.
"Wait! Follow me!"
He walked over and sat on his bed. You went over and did the same. He looked at my (E/C) eyes. I blinked in confusion.
"(Y/N). What's wrong?"
He asked suspiciously. I gripped my necklace. His eyes looked down at my necklace. He moved his hand towards my necklace but I quickly slapped his hand away.
"Don't touch that! Don't you dare touch that!"
I yelled at him as I felt tears form on my face. He pulled his hand away in shock. I opened my eyes and looked at his hurtful hazel eyes. He was rubbing his hand. I then realized what I had done. I let go of my necklace immediately.
"M-Matt! Oh my god... I'm so sorry! I don't know what came over me!"
He looked as if he was about to cry.
"No no no no no... I'm sorry! Don't cry!"
"It's okay (Y/N)... I shouldn't have done that."
He finally spoke.
"No it's okay! I-I'll tell you what's wrong!"
I blurted out.
"This necklace was from (Ex/bf)...!"
I opened it up and showed Matt. It was a picture of (Ex/bf) and me. I felt tears stream down my face.
"I kept it because it's the only memory I have of him! Because I-I can't for get him! He just used me but I need him in my life! W-Without him I'm nothing! I'm alone..."
I sniffed. Matt pulled me into a hug.
"Do you think nothing is an insult?"
He dug his fingers into my hair. I leaned on his shoulder.
"People say nothing is perfect. I guess you should be named nothing right?"
I heard him chuckle. I tugged the back of his shirt and slightly smiled.
"Besides your not alone... I'm here (Y/N)... Matt is here..."
Those where the last words I heard before I fell asleep.
~Next Morning~
I woke up in a room that wasn't mine. I squinted at the light from the window. I tried to get up but I held down by something or should I say someone? I looked down at the arms wrapped around me. I looked up to see the tall ginger deep asleep. He was clinging onto me. I felt my face burn up quickly. Matt why. I didn't want to wake him. I just laid there awkwardly thinking over my life. Why hadn't he taken me to the guest room? His leg moved over me as he pulled me closer to him. Yep. Yep. This is totally happening. He was holding me tightly. I heard some foot steps heading upstairs. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. I'm gonna die. I closed my eyes and pretend to be asleep.
"Matt? Are you up yet? I can't find (Y/N) any-"
I heard Edd gasped then there was a moment of silence. I felt a flash hit the room then I felt Matt wake up. I opened my eyes as well. Matt groaned as he rubbed his eyes. Edd snickered and ran downstairs.
"Huh...? What happened...?"
I sat up and looked at Matt suspiciously.
"Mind telling me why I woke up in your bed hmm?"
I crossed my arms and glared at him. His face turned red.
"Welp uh... I didn't want to wake you up so..."
He scratched his back of his head awkwardly. I sighed.
"Look (Y/N)... That's not the only r-reason..."
He stuttered. I looked up at him. He hesitated to speak, but instead he grabbed my head and pulled me in for a kiss. My eyes widen at the sudden contact. His kiss... This feels so much more real than (Ex/bf). He finally pulled away. We were both gasping for air.
"(Y/N)..."
He began. I placed my finger on his lips.
"Yes. I want to be your girlfriend."
He then immediately smiled happily and hugged me. I hugged him back. I pulled off my necklace and threw it in his trash can. I am now okay. For the first time, I've open up my eyes. (Ex/bf) and my love was the worst. I looked up at Matt and smiled.
"I'm now okay..."
