''Come back in about 2 hours but not too late okay?''
''I know!!'' I said hollering back. I walked out of the house the boys knew I was not going to be that long. I took my purse and weaved through the streets, it was quite crowed as it was tourist season , and I was on the hunt to get gummy bears. A month or two ago I walked by this shop and a lady was handing out gummy bears said if I wanted some I said yes. Let's just say those gummy bears were delectable so I bought them every now and then. Louis and Harry enjoyed it as well. After aimlessly meandering around downtown it was getting a wee bit dark. I saw the candy store and the lady who was outside the store she didn't look quite familiar. A new hire I assume
I went straight up to her.
''Would you like one?'' I nodded,
''Oh yes please.'' I opened my hand.
''Usually Marta gives the bears out is she here working today?''
She gave me a weird look.
''You know , the short lady with red bouncy curls?''
''Oh yeah... she ... she actually went home early for the day.'' I nodded.
I mean it does make sense Marta does get tired easier as she is the oldest person working at the shop.
''So I'm guessing I cannot buy them today?''
''Yeah, no I closed up already.'' I was defiently a bit disappointed
''That really is too bad, gosh my friends and I just love them so much the taste is just out of this world.''
''Hey, but on the bright side the Marta lady told me to give this to you its $10.'' I gave her my money and took the bag examining it in my hands.
''These don't look like the original bears.''
''Different manufacturer you know.'' She replied.
I nodded , the bears also did taste a tiny bit different but different manufacturer I will chalk it up to. I gave her a goodbye and started by way back as it was getting darker and downtown was quite a way ways from the house.
I was two blocks down from my residence I was starting to feel a bit disoriented but more woozy.
Street sign... street sign.. street sign this isn't my street. I know my house is near a Foster Freeze... freeze... feeze..fezze. My head felt groggy and mushy
I saw a familiar fire hydrant it was now my hyena, the hyena is always close to my home. No.. no not a hyena this is my friend.. yeah a friend. I lied down next to my friend.
I felt my body get shaken a bit by two boys, I know them it was a bit muffed I could hear what they were saying.
''Oh please.'' I grabbed Louis's leg.
''Oh please alright? ''Harry asked I threw my head back and smiled.
''Are you on drugs? Hmmmm?''
I looked up at him, ''MMmm noooo!''
''Can you walk?'' Louis inquired. My tounge was stuck out, I stood up , took a step wobbling, I clung onto Harry quite tightly, I whispered into his ear.
''Help.'' I could see his eyes widen I started to whimper this is bad, I'm not in control of whats happening to my body, or my brain. I don't understand really what's going on.
I got into the house wobbling I don't know what's happening I don't like whats happening physically. I kept pursing my lips I couldn't stop.
''Did you go to that candy shop?'' I nodded groaning putting my head between my legs. I saw Louis grab my bag looking through it taking out the candy, they grabbed the candy gasped and hugged me. I still felt delirious I told them to call my high school friend Freddie who works at another candy shop, he might now what is going on. I put my head in Louis's lap, Harry's ear on my phone. I need to take a shower. Louis wasn't letting me something about a risk of falling.
I stumbled down the hall turning the water on, I got in the shower naked and stressed everything in the shower looked like it was vibrating, I was dizzy I exhaled clawing my hands up and down the shower wall. What is happening to me me? What did I get myself into? I don't like this . Am I in an earthquake.. yeah that makes sense. I stumbled out of the bathroom I tried to scream for Harry and Louis but nothing would come out of my mouth.
I am scared shitless.
I went to my bed towel wrapped around me , I stumbled to my dresser I didn't like what I saw in the mirror. I know I need to put clothes on , I made an animalistic grunt in my throat and dug my head into my mattress like an ostrich planting their head into the sand. I feel horrible I feel like there is a possibility I could die. Forget clothes, I pulled my comforter over my head. I am not proud.
I felt my shoulder getting rubbed all I heard was muffled words strung together from Harry, as if it was some report back to me.
''Freddie's branch doesn't carry it ....... no other branches sell it..fake products....... illegal.... drugged gummies... laced... tricked.... new scam....con artist.....''
I pushed my the crown of my head onto Harry's shoulder; ''I'm scared, Harry, Louis please get it out of it me.'' My words were slurring pleading with them for help, they didn't say anything
''Please! please ! PLEASE!'' I was trying to shake both of their stiff shoulders.
I'm scared I have zero control and I hate this feeling, why couldn't they help me.
More pieces of words were coming no 911, something about liability.
The boys insisted on sleeping with me to make sure I'd be okay through the night , seemed fine with me. I started to fall asleep Harry on the right, Louis on the left, thankfully for all three of us I sleep in a king size bed.
I thanked God when I woke up the next morning glad I was alive. I knew I wasn't fully my normal self . I got up my mind still cloudy but I was definitely more aware. I walked into the kitchen.
''How are you?'' Harry asked.
''Well not feeling extremally out of it , but still a bit slow if you know what I mean.'' He nodded
''You were pretty faded out last night , you thought you were buying normal sweets, but they carried an illegal substance that only 21 year old's and older can get. We were waiting for you to come back home , you didn't return Harry and I's calls , which was very strange since you always return them.'' Louis said.
I shook my head' 'My gosh guys I'm so sorry I put you through that.''
''When Lou and I found you , you looked extremally messed biting the inside of your cheeks, crying but was incoherent, but we knew that you would never voluntary get effed up like that.'' Harry vocalized.
''Harry and I wanted to go find her and really give it to her , knock her lights out.''
''I'm so disappointed in myself, I love you guys you easily could have left me out to die but you didn't. You guys took impeccable care of me I really love you. Sorry about all this BS worrying you half to death.'' I took them in my arms teasing me how crappy I attempted it as they were both larger in stature and much stronger than me.
''I thought I was intelligent... no that's not the issue I am just too trusting. I just assume the best out of everyone.'' I announced.
''No, it was just a dirty ratchet skank and having trust is honorable don't even think for a moment you are not intelligent.'' Harry replied.
''The skankiest of skanks.'' Louis added.
I still felt dirty inside Harry grabbed my chin.
''Hey?'' He looked into my eyes
''Yeah?'' I felt tears welt up
''Its not your fault.''
''What?''
''It's not your fault .'' Louis restated grabbing my hand
''I know.'' I don't .
''Its not your fault.''
''I know.'' Do I though?
''No, no listen to me its not you fault.'' Harry commanded adamantly.
''I know!!'' I know tears started to flow, I was in grave danger last night and a bit did feel like it was my fault. I kept crying endlessly wiping my tears away with a paper towel.
''It would be a pretty solid idea if we give her some chocolate laxatives so she can shit out all of her toxic energy.'' Louis threw out, gave me a pretty darn good laugh.
The boys said I problay should get dressed by now, they were correct, I was about to leave the kitchen wen Harry got my attention.
''Oh by the way if you ever wanna go to a real candy shop just tell me.'' He proudly expressed with a wink.
''Thanks Harry.'' I thanked him staggering back down the hallway.
Until what dawned on me what he really meant.
''HEY! Mr. Harry Styles sir that is bad! Bad, bad, bad what happens in that song stays in that song!'' I heard Harry chuckle.
What has this world come to cant even get safe gummy bears my goodness. Moral of story don't take gummy bears from people who aren't your bear dealer.
