You're confused. Majorly. There aren't many things in your life that stump you, as you're a quick thinker, even in tough situations. You usually have an easy time navigating through your life and adapting to sudden changes and whatnot regardless of the fact that you're an introvert. And that's exactly why you're confused. You had no idea what to do in the situation you had been put in for seemingly no idea.
You're a very popular idol signed to JYP Entertainment, and you're a member of a group named Angel A. You're the second youngest. You're known for being shy yet also sometimes the loudest member.
A month ago, your company decided that you needed to be even more popular, you suppose (even though you're a member of a chart-topping group—the most popular member, at that), because they suggested something that seemed bizarre to you at the time.
They suggested that you get into a PR relationship. Well, it was more like them telling you that you are going to be in one. No questions asked. Either way, it doesn't sound too flattering or fun, does it? But, nonetheless, you agreed, so as to not cause any future problems in your relationship with the company.
But the bigger surprise came when they told you who you would be dating: Momo, a member of TWICE. You literally almost flipped your shit when you heard them tell you that. It's not that you hated her, you just simply didn't like her. And it's all because of one interaction you had with her.
You had stayed in the dance studio later than your members to perfect a move you didn't feel confident in, but you just couldn't get it. You had noticed that Momo stayed behind too, for whatever reason, so you stepped out of your practice room to greet her. She did the same, but was quick to shove a wireless earbud in her ear as soon as you started speaking, and then walked off. You had wanted to ask her if she could help you with the move you wanted to perfect. You found her actions quite rude, so from that day forward, you've made a clear effort to avoid her, but you still try to keep it respectful, for the most part.
So you weren't exactly elated to hear the news of the PR relationship. But you honestly have to admit that when you met with her to discuss it, it went smoothly. She kept everything professional, but still came across as rather friendly, so you did the same. It was pleasant.
But that's not all that has you confused, because all of that was a month ago. What has you more puzzled is the fact that you like Momo. Romantically. You didn't have a lot of trouble figuring it all out, seeing as you're a sensible adult with a good grip on your feelings, but you're not sure what to do with them. On one hand, you want to open up to her and talk to her about them, seeing as the two of you have become good friends, but on the other, you don't, because you're uncertain about whether or not this could cause a rift in your friendship. That could make it harder to keep up the fake relationship. And sure, you could simply ask your company if you and Momo can "break up" and it wouldn't be too much of a bad thing because a lot of couples break up all the time. But you have to admit it, you enjoy being a couple with her. You enjoy kissing her and holding her hand and hugging her.
"Hello~ Earth to Y/N!"
You flinched and looked up to see the very person you were thinking about across you, looking at you curiously as she twirled her straw around in her glass. You're currently seated at a restaurant, enjoying a simple meal together in celebration of her group releasing an album. It wasn't something that either of you would expect the other to do for one another, seeing as the relationship isn't real, but you decided to do it anyway. And hey, you're just glad she accepted the offer.
"Yes, Momo?" You questioned, looking into her eyes.
"Did you hear the joke I made? It was so good!" She exclaimed, whining afterwards.
You chuckled, an amused expression plastered across your face, and shook your head. "No, I didn't. I'm sorry, baby. Can you say it again?" And like always, you enjoyed the flustered look she sported after you called her 'baby.' You couldn't help but laugh again, this time greatly endeared.
"Uh- Uh, yeah, sure! Why can't you trust atoms?" She asked. She quickly moved on from her embarrassed state and wore an excited expression now as she waited for you to take a guess.
You shrugged, a small smile playing on your lips. "I don't know, honestly. I think I failed science in my sophomore year of high school, so tell me, tell me," you told her, waving your hand to exaggerate your impatience.
She giggled. "Because they make up everything!" She hit the table lightly and threw her head back, and her reaction, plus the corniness of the joke, caused you to copy her actions. Your laughs were slightly loud, so a few people looked over at you, but eventually went back to whatever they were doing.
When you finally calmed down and looked back at Momo, you saw that she was still giggling to herself. You took the short opportunity to stare at her. She's perfect in your eyes, you just can't help but admire her. Despite your initial meeting with her, you've come to see that she's actually quite friendly, if the interactions she's shared with other people around you and now you, yourself, say anything. She actually straight up told you that she was sorry for that night that you wanted to ask for help, and she admitted that she was very cranky and tired that night and just wanted to go home with no disturbances. You accepted her apology immediately.
You're honestly happy where you're at with her right now.

Your happiness lasted a month and eight days. It was fun, but short lived, in your opinion.
You had gone on a date with Momo again since you both had a free day and were bored. You had dropped her off at the company afterwards, since she said that she was going to meet up with a friend to discuss something related to their schedules. Surprisingly, she kissed you goodbye. She must be growing accustomed to being with you so much and playing into the fake relationship. You can't deny the flutter in your heart, and you're one hundred percent sure she noticed the blush coating your cheeks as she got out of your car.
But thirty minutes later, you found yourself driving back to the company. Your manager had called you and your members there for a meeting regarding the beginning of comeback preparations, specifically the concept.
You were on your way to the meeting room your manager and members were in, when you walked past one with the door slightly ajar. Somebody must've been in there earlier or even now and forgot to close it. You reached out to knock on it to tell the person or people inside about it, but stopped once you heard your name being said.
"What about Y/N?"
"What about her?"
"Well… how do you feel about her? Last time I asked, you weren't sure."
"Ah… It's, uhm… complicated, you know? I like her company, but I just think we might be better off as friends. She can be a little annoying sometimes, I guess. Sometimes she acts a bit like a child," you heard a voice say, followed by a chuckle.
Momo.
You didn't stick around to hear what else she had to say, so you quickly walked away with a blank face.

The next day, Momo showed up at the dance studio as soon as your group's dance practice was scheduled to end. She was holding a can of soda and a box of takeout in her hands as she waited for you at the door patiently. She bowed at your members politely as they shuffled out with their bags, sweaty and breathing somewhat heavily. They all returned the polite gesture, but Momo grew confused by the cold looks they offered her. They walked off without a word.
You were the last one out, and when you saw her, you simply glanced at her, before turning on your heel and walking towards the elevator.
Momo frowned, instantly overcome with worry. You've never been mad at her or upset with her over the last month and some change, so it was startling for her to witness these kinds of actions from you. She likes you a lot, although she's never admitted it, not even to her group members (aka her best friends), so she's saddened by this sudden turn of events. She doesn't know what could have caused you to suddenly start acting like this.
"Y/N? Hey, w-where are you going, Y/nnie?" She called out after you, quickly rushing over to where you were waiting for the elevator. She looked beyond worried, and you began to feel a little bad for giving her this treatment, but at the same time, you're upset and offended, so you shrugged off the former feeling.
"Just go home, Momo. I'm not in the mood to talk to you," you deadpanned as you stepped in the elevator. She pouted sadly and followed you in like a dejected puppy, holding the food and drink close to her chest. That's when you noticed it, and you felt another pang to your chest.
"Please just tell me what happened! I wanna know what I did to- to make you feel upset, or whatever it is that you're feeling, so I can fix it," she stated quietly, lowering her head slightly.
You sighed. "Fine. You wanna know what's wrong, Momo? I heard what you said about me yesterday, okay? And it pissed me off. If you thought all of that about me, why didn't you just say it to my face, huh? Or you could've gone to our managers and asked if we could "break up,"" you snapped.
You cursed at the fact that the company elevators are slow as hell, and that the building is taller than you personally find necessary. A tense silence surrounded you.
"I-I… You heard me say that?" She asked quietly. Her voice was a bit meek, once again making you feel a bit guilty.
You simply nodded, feeling irritated.
She bowed swiftly. "I'm sorry you heard that. You must not've heard what I said afterwards, though, otherwise you hopefully wouldn't have been so pissed." Her words confused you, and it must have been visible enough to her, because she continued speaking. "After I said what you heard, I finished it by saying 'but that's what I like about her. In fact, I really like her romantically, but I don't think that she likes me, so what's the point?' That was the full statement, Y/N."
Your eyes widened. You felt kind of stupid now, because it was technically your fault for not hearing the rest of it when she clearly wasn't finished speaking yesterday. You probably should've at least stayed to hear everything she had to say about you, regardless of what it was.
"Oh."
As soon as the syllable left your mouth, the elevator doors opened. You and Momo walked out wordlessly. You hesitated for a moment, but after some quiet thought, you reached out and gently took the can of soda from her hands, only to use your free hand to now hold hers without so much as even looking at her. You were too busy looking ahead of you as you led her outside the building and to your car. She didn't question your actions.
And soon, you arrived at your dorms. Once you were inside, she set the food and drink down on the kitchen counter. You both stood in the middle of the kitchen, not saying a word.
Until you decided to speak up.
"I like you too. Romantically," you murmured, dragging your gaze from the floor and up to her eyes.
Her cheeks flushed red as her eyes widened in the slightest. "Really? You're not just playing with me, right? Please don't be joking," she practically begged as she hugged you abruptly, burying her face in the crook of your neck. Her voice was just barely above a whisper as she spoke the last line against your skin.
You were quick to wrap your arms around her and hold her tightly. After a few moments of silence, in which you both basked in the warmth of each other's embraces, you raised your arm and stroked her hair affectionately.
"I promise I'm not joking, baby. I would never joke or lie about something like this" you told her eventually. You felt her smile against your skin, before pressing a small kiss to your neck and then lifting her head.
All of a sudden, she swiftly pecked your lips and stepped back, clearly feeling shy, taking you by surprise. But after you recovered from the momentary shock, you grinned and pulled her back into your arms, tickling her sides and simultaneously kissing all over her face as she giggled loudly.
You definitely wouldn't have this go any other way. You aren't going to let her go for a long time.
