Laura was just feeling disappointed with Hanlu when one of the Alpha's house butlers came and approached her. Laura's attention was quick to shift and knowing that the butler had something to tell, she nodded her head for the man to come close.
"Madam, Young Master Luangmin had arrived," he whispered, which quickly made Laura smile. Even though Lan was her eldest grandson, she still couldn't help but see Luangmin as her first grandchild because she carried him when he was still a baby and watched him grow so she was quite attached to the boy. While she does love all of her grandchildren, she also can't deny she has a soft heart when it comes to the little boy.
"Okay, thank you. Please lead him inside. His uncle Luu had been waiting for him to arrive," Laura ordered and the butler nodded without delay as he soon left to carry out the command only that Laura would not expect that two additional individuals that should not have been at the place would come in along with the child.
"Luangmin has arrived. The butler will lead him here soon," Laura informed Diane who was all this time actually worried about the young boy being so late. She knew the child was well protected after what had happened to him in the past but she still couldn't help feeling worried that something might happen to him. Alas, now her concern is unnecessary since Luangmin is now here.
"That's good. Can't wait to see him," Diane replied with a kind smile but as soon as she said so, she noticed the place began to quiet down a little. It was a very noticeable shift since the party was very lively despite the mellow instrumental music in the background played by a famous band that Mo Hanlu hired for tonight so she was quick to follow everyone's eyes when they directed towards the entrance.
"Oh my, I thought these two wouldn't come," Laura whispered while standing. The same with Diane seeing her son, Daniel, with a bright smile towards the entrance of the ballroom.
Needless to say, both Laura and Diane walked towards the two, planning to welcome them with Luangmin. Of course, they weren't the only ones as the hosts of the event came as well.
"My Baby, I'm glad you came but is it okay? You're not forcing yourself, are you?" Diane was the first to ask while hugging and kissing Daniel as her greeting.
"Hi Mommy, hehe. I'm fine. I won't push myself too hard and Laotian's here to watch me. You know I can't be absent from such an event," Daniel replied, looking at Ian and Hanlu who also just arrived to greet him and Laotian.
"Tch. I knew you'd be here. I told you we can host another party when the fifth's out. Why does Brother-in-law have to force himself? What if something bad happens?" Hanlu commented from the side while Ian neared Daniel and hugged him.
"Don't mind him. Thanks for coming even though it was difficult in your situation," Ian said after hugging his fellow Omega. Ian also lightly greeted Laotian as well as softly caressed Luangmin's hair.
"It's okay. I wouldn't miss such an important event, I apologize for being late though, I had trouble finding some clothes to wear," Daniel chuckled. Since his stomach is now big, it was difficult for him to find clothes that would look good on him despite having such a huge wardrobe arranged for him every season that would cater to his current circumstances. His wardrobe organizer actually did a great job and it's the reason why it took so long since he was having trouble choosing the perfect one despite having both Laotian and Luangmin helping him.
"It's fine. The party actually hasn't started yet. Hanlu was waiting for Luangmin to arrive. He wanted to have all the kids present when he shows Lizzie to everyone," Ian replied, slightly rolling his eyes towards Hanlu who was all this time just glad that he managed to take his wife away from that Grey kid.
"Everyone, it's no good standing here for too long with so many guests. I'm sure everyone is also eager to finally start this party, shall we go?" Mo Chendong, who just arrived, interrupted along with Armand. The rest agreed and finally paced toward the area reserved for them. Unfortunately, since Elder Sullen was still reciprocating from all the things that had happened, he wasn't able to come but in respect, Joaquinn came to attend the event in his place. And of course, upon seeing Daniel, he came to greet the Omega as well.
"I'm sorry, they couldn't come. Uncle George was taking care of Grandpa and Ash to Maverick since he was still not mentally stable after what had happened to him, we couldn't leave him alone," Joaquinn apologized so Daniel nodded since he knew the situation of their family and that if his condition wasn't just sensitive because of his pregnancy, he would have visited often as well but as of now, his doctors was strongly asking him to avoid emotionally stressful situations for his own good.
"It's okay. I hope they're fine and I'm sorry too that I couldn't come often to help."
"It's fine. We all know your situation as well. I'm sure Grandpa and Mave understand," Joaquinn replied and softly tapped on Daniel's hair because truth be told, he could have just moved on from their messed up family and just be happy with the Mos but given that he's good in nature despite the things that they have done to him, he still comes running to help in any way he could.
"Thank you, brother Quinn," Daniel smiled. From there everything went on smoothly. The event also soon began and just like Hanlu liked, all the kids came up front along with Ian and Hanlu. The twins were behaving well along with their eldest brother and Lan who was adorably cradling Elijah in his arms. If everyone didn't already know that only Lan and Elizanie—who was in Ian's arms—were the only ones who are Hanlu's children, they would think all six kids were Hanlu's. They look like a big happy family and anyone could tell Hanlu was in heaven due to how excited he was talking to the stage and even telling some short stories, making everyone laugh with his humor before finally revealing his daughter's name.
Everyone applauded and congratulated them and finally, the real event began where there was more singing and dancing from the most popular performing artists in the world. Food and drink were unlimited and everyone truly enjoyed talking and just conversing with everyone. And of course, the highlight of the event was gift-giving and giving heartfelt messages and wishes towards the new baby and to her parents. Truly, just making the night filled with good memories to remember. Well, Hanlu was a bit upset that Tian Zi and Fyre were late yet again but overall, no one could ruin his mood and he enjoyed boasting about his daughter to the person where he even planned to parade his child if not only Ian going against it.
Everything went well but as the night was just about to reach its peak, Daniel secretly grabbed his husband's arm and leaned forward wanting to say something. Laotian who was all this time never left Daniel's side, immediately focused his attention on the Omega.
"What is it?"
"I feel uncomfortable," Daniel mentioned, softly massaging his stomach, thinking that maybe because he was laughing too much that his lower abdomen began to feel strange. On the other hand, when Laotian heard Daniel, he nodded and kissed his forehead before he quickly stood and neared Hanlu to whisper something.
"What?! Then you should go now. I'll talk to Mom and Dad," Hanlu immediately replied.
"Danny? Is someone the matter?" Ian asked who was sitting close to Daniel when he noticed the fellow Omega suddenly becoming silent. The same with Fyre who also sat along with them since he didn't actually know anyone aside from who he already knows because of the Mos.
"Nothing, just feeling a bit tired," Daniel replied, not wanting everyone to feel worried about him.
"Don't you think it's time for you to rest? Don't force yourself if you're feeling uncomfortable," Fyre said this time. Since he immediately became friends with the fellow Omega and the fact that Daniel had such delicate facial and physical features, it can't be helped that he would feel worried for him. Even if he tried to act normal so no one would notice, one just couldn't help but notice the sudden changes in his behavior since normally he was very lively and loves to chat. So him suddenly becoming silent, means there must have been something wrong.
Additionally, all throughout his life, he had never met someone who was as delicate as Daniel Mo. He's the very epitome of Omega that even as an Omega himself, something inside him just wanted to protect Daniel, and Ian felt the exact same way.
"Yeah..." Daniel replied dejectedly. It hasn't even been two hours since he arrived and now he needs to go back already. Daniel pouted upset but alas there was nothing he could do. Fyre and Ian looked at each other and sighed helplessly.
"We'll come and visit tomorrow for sure," Ian said while Fyre nodded. Even though his talent manager had been urgently asking him to go and visit the studio soon to talk about the next course of action for the movie film, it can't be helped that Daniel needed company.
"No... it's okay. Ian probably needs to rest after labor and take care of Lizzie while Fyre is busy with work. Just come over if you're free, it's good enough that I was able to come and personally send my gift to Lizzie tonight. I had a lot of fun," Daniel said softly, shaking his head left and right, and on cue, Laotian came back with their children so they could say their goodbyes for now.
"Mommy, are you okay?" Luangmin asked worriedly. Just now when their father called him over with the twins that they were heading out to the hospital, he couldn't help but glare at Laotian for even allowing his mother to over-exert himself but upon knowing how much Daniel enjoyed this gathering he calmed down and hugged his mother with the twins.
"Yeah. Mommy needs to go for now. Can I count on you to take care of your younger brothers?"
"Yeah. Leave it to me, Mommy. I'll make sure they'll behave," Luangmin replied with a confident nod.
"Mommy, Ching Li and Chao Yu will be good, we promise so you have to come back soon, okay?" Ching Li said with a sad pout while his twin nodded in agreement doing the same thing. It's even the reason why they've been behaving recently because their nanny said their mommy will get better soon if they were nice, and they did. They were happy to see Daniel tonight but alas, they must have not been nice enough because their mother was going back to the hospital again.
"Okay and very good you two. Mommy's so proud of you. Can I count on you to take care of Eli too?" Daniel asked with a pleased smile and the twins enthusiastically nodded since even though they were quite mischievous, they still always strive to make especially Daniel happy.
"Okay, I'm counting on you. And if anything happens, remember not to try and hide it. Just tell your Uncle Ian or your Uncle Luu, or your grandpas and grandmas, okay?" Daniel reminded as always. Since he knew how much hiding things could cause such a huge misunderstanding in the family, he always strives to make his kids open up to him no matter what their problems are so he could help them solve whatever they were worried about or having trouble with.
"Okayyyy~" All three replied and Daniel smiled in satisfaction before looking at his husband. Laotian took that as a signal that they finally had to go so he assisted Daniel up from his chair before they carefully paced out of the ballroom unnoticed. It's unfortunate that they couldn't say a proper goodbye but he didn't want to make any more delays knowing his wife wasn't feeling well so he left that job to Hanlu instead. With that, they finally left Hanlu's residence and drove toward the hospital. And thinking that his wife was truly exhausted, he never expected him to actually faint instead of falling asleep and he would find out soon he was already bleeding as he tried to wake him up upon arrival at the hospital.
Daniel's body was already degrading after three pregnancies—two with multiples—so in this last one he was at high risk of losing his life. It's the reason why they have decided to undergo ligation so they could prevent any possible pregnancies in the future. Of course, Laotian specifically had considered abortion as an option but with Daniel being strongly against it so he didn't bring it up again. And he regretted it... Upon hurriedly lifting Daniel out of the car and rushing him to the emergency room, he regretted not ever firmly putting his foot about it as an option before the fetus had developed into a full-grown baby. He also regretted ever having agreed to even let his wife out of the hospital thinking none of this would have happened if he just stayed firm.
Nevertheless, even if he really did that, the fact that Daniel was to give birth prematurely tonight was a situation they could not have avoided whether he stayed at the hospital or not.
