After leaving Fyre's place, Tian Zi didn't know how he managed to drive all the way back home. He just realized all of a sudden that he was home as he slowly walked towards the living room and soon slumped face down on his couch before groaning in frustration. He knew that by this time, Fyre would be meeting his 'friend' Paul Hymlyn and he began to groan in frustration again. Clearly, he disliked it. In fact, he absolutely hated it! Perhaps even more than the thought of his mother talking about marriage again and again.

'Was it my mistake?' Tian Zi thought. His face was still against the couch as if he's gone home drunk and didn't make it all the way back to his room. He tried to reenact in his head what had happened earlier but no matter how much he racked his brain out, he still didn't know where he went wrong. Although he admitted that he lied about not being jealous of Paul Hymlyn and all, the rest of his words were what he truly felt.

'I should have apologized when I had the chance,' Tian Zi thought again. It's not that he didn't trust Fyre's feelings for him but it is true that he's anxious that the Omega might have been forced to be with him all this time. He wasn't that dense. He could feel that for the past years, Fyre had been putting a clear line between them. It was a line he wasn't supposed to cross but he did. In the first place, Tian Zi was never confident of himself. He just grew up this way while seeing both his outstanding brother's achievements up until now. He thought that he could never be the same as them and felt inferior. No question about how he liked and idolized his brothers but he couldn't help comparing himself.

Moreover, this is the first time Tian Zi was offering his heart to someone and he was afraid he would get hurt. He had never been in a relationship before but he knew how the thing called 'love' could ruin someone. That's why as much as possible, he wanted Fyre to be away from other Alphas. That way he'd feel more relieved since no one would be able to snatch the Omega away from him. Tian Zi had never felt this way before so his emotions were a little complicated and most of the time it was difficult to understand himself.

He remembered promising himself that he would never fall in love with someone like his older brothers because he knew exactly this was going to happen—his mind was filled with pink lights and flowers floating around. He thought it was bothersome and to be honest he still does think of it as such but it's not like he could just forget the feelings he had for Fyre. It wasn't his intention to fall in love but it happened. Now... it is too late for him to go back as he wouldn't know how to continue living on without Fyre. Such embarrassing words never crossed his mind before and he never dreamed he would think this way but it is what it is now. He wasn't aware when it had started but he just one day found out he could not imagine a day without Fyre.

Groaning once again, Tian Zi finally moved to flip his position. This time his back against the couch as he laid comfortably while putting his arm over his eyes. The more he thought about the fact that maybe it was him who made a mistake, the more anxious he felt that he just wanted to shut his brain for a moment. Of course, the urge to go and run after his lover was there but he knew that if he did, Fyre would only get even madder at him. He knew Fyre's personality the most, so he knew being persistent would only piss the Omega off.

"I'm going to take a rest. Don't let anyone disturb me," Tian Zi ordered, knowing that all this time, his butler, Flinn, was standing at the far side of the room waiting for his order. And as expected of a loyal butler, Flinn briefly bowed to his Master even though he wouldn't be able to see it before he left the room after dimming the lights a little. He also made sure that none of the other servants would be passing by the area to disturb his sleep.

Just like that Tian Zi managed to take a little rest before his eyes began to open again, hearing a conversation from afar. Since the living room was near the foyer, any visitor coming to stop at the foyer to talk would definitely be heard.
