"Uniforms, huh?"
Rage looks at the online pictures of one of the male uniforms for Upper Lake.
"I dunno," he says after examining it. "It looks kinda stuffy. At least it's black."
I've come over to the Timber estate so that me and Rage can look at uniforms together. There are different colour options for the uniforms. I scroll down to another picture.
"Aw, I thought you might take a blue one instead," I tease.
"No way," he says indifferently, flicking through other colour options. "I already have blue hair. It would look too weird."
I size him up. "Yeah, black would look hot on you."
The corner of his mouth goes up. "Ya think?"
I don't answer that. Instead, I steal the mouse from him and go to the page where they show girls' uniforms. They all have skirts, ties, and those high socks. I guess it really is prestigious after all, because never have I ever worn any of those clothes in my life.
"You think this would suit me?"
Rage looks at it and then looks at me. "Yeah, it'd look okay."
"Just okay? Be honest. Good or bad?"
"Um." He looks away, maybe bashfully. "Good?"
Huh. "Well, how about blue? You think it would look okay on me?"
I show him the blue version.
"That one looks better," Rage says. "It has an actual tie."
Well, that's good. "I like this one too, so I'm getting it!" I announce.
Now it's time to put in all the measurements and order it. I look over Rage's measurements while he's filling them in, just because.
"So you're five foot eleven, huh?" I say offhandedly.
He replies, "Yeah."
"You're kinda short, you know."
"Says the one who's five six."
"Actually I'm five four."
He snickers. "That's even worse."
After he finishes ordering his uniform, Rage hands over the laptop to me. "Your turn."
I slide the laptop in front of me and open up the page. There's a ton of questions about my sizing, so I enter it in.

I glance over at Rage, because for some reason, the atmosphere is getting a little hot in here, even though it's air conditioned. Rage is fiddling with his hair, albeit a little animatedly. Maybe it's his way of giving me "privacy". I look back at the form.

Okay, I can definitely feel Rage peeking at the screen. "I know you're looking, idiot," I say to him, rolling my eyes. He looks back at me with an attempted innocent face. "No?"
"If you're spying on the size of my boobs, do it better."
"I don't know what you're talking about," he says, but I can hear the awkwardness in his voice.
