" She has a whole life without you, the best thing you can do is forget about her and focus on this, isn't this important to you? " That kept repeating in his head as he walked to meet the rest of his friends. He wasn't even sure how they found out about her, he was making sure to keep her a secret.
His friends could instantly tell something was wrong, Jimin being the one to grab a hold of him and pulling him into a hug. They somewhat knew what had happened, from the phrase of 'he needs to know she's gone.' They were talking about Y/n, a girl he had grown to love. He was heartbroken, she was just gone. With no explanation nothing, she was gone.
He blamed himself for a long time, believing that maybe if he loved her more than she would have stayed. But he didn't know the truth of why she was gone, and no one told him or the rest of the group until 2022.
Y/n's P.O.V.
I was running through the streets trying to get to the studio as quickly as possible. Their management, or a branch off of it. Told me to not come in contact when they found out I was pregnant. They believed it would be too distracting for the boys, and that they needed to focus. They told me I had to keep my mouth shut or bad things would happen. I was suppose to leave without saying goodbye, and they flew me here. To New York, I was only 21 at the time. Thankfully I had some family who lived here so I was able to adjust a little bit quicker.
I had my daughter, Veda, on New Years Day in 2019, and she's been the light of my life since then. She's three now, and is enjoying life more than anything. She always asks me questions, and usually they are the weirdest questions in the world. But that's what happens when you have a three-year-old daughter.
When you have a kid they become your priority no matter what, that's how life goes. I haven't been in his life since that day. They were determined to get me out of South Korea, they believed I was just doing it to trap Tae, which wasn't completely not true. But they didn't care, they believed what they believed and they wanted me gone.
I haven't seen them since then, it's been 4 years. I listen to their music occasionally, and I am so happy that they getting recognized with what they deserve. They're wonderful at what they do, I just wish I was able to do that with them, but I can't.
I have the opportunity to go on The Late Night show tonight to talk about my new book. Which is a mental health awareness book. Which is based off of my experience while I was in Korea. Which it's called In Our Next Life.
" Y/n Y/l/n everybody! " Jimmy screams, I walk out giving him a hug and then sitting down in the seat. " I read the first page of your book, and was left speechless. The first sentence is 'he will never know the truth, they made sure of that.' I was with my wife, and I verbally was like 'oh my God.' Which pulled her into wondering what had happened, and I'm under the impression that this is based off your real life experience? " He asks, I give him a nod.
" It's definitely inspired by it. I became a mom when I was 21, I was really young. And the situation with her father is a nonexistent one. I told fans I said 'this book is my coping mechanism.' It is based off my life, but not entirely, " I comment, he nods towards me.
" Your daughter a beautiful kid, does she understand what exactly you are? Does she get that you're a famous author, and you have this amazing singing ability? " He asks.
" She has no idea, she loves cuddling with me when I'm writing. And she thinks it's cool that I write a lot, she's under the impression that my books are for her, but she also thinks that every book she sees I wrote, which makes me laugh a lot, " I tell him, which causes him to nod towards me and laugh as well from her being a crazy girl.
" So for anyone who doesn't know what is your book about? " Jimmy asks.
" It's a mental health awareness story, seeing how being a single mom and the dangers of not having the right support system can affect a mom. So you see Elise with her daughter Aurora, and follow the story of them, as she faces her daughter's father for the first time since she was born, " I comment, I see some of them in the crowd nodding and having interested looks on their faces. " I developed this story, or started developing it. When she was about a year old, and have finally gotten to a point mentally where I can publish and share this story, that I hold so dear to my heart with everybody, " I add.
" And what I've heard is your friends and you are creating a musical based off this amazing book, is that true? " He asks, I nod towards him.
" Yes, we had the idea of it. On one of my friends' birthdays, she came to me clearly drunk. And said 'I have the best idea in the world. Let's turn In Our Next Life into a musical' Which I just laughed, and she continued talking about it, and it made me think... maybe this would be a good idea. She's going to be so mad I said she was drunk, " I comment laughing, which caused Jimmy to laugh.
" Do you know when that will be officially coming out? " He asks.
" It's coming out officially in April. April of this year is when it will be officially out, so stay tuned to watching that, " I tell him, he just smiles towards me.
" I don't know about you, but I definitely will be watching that. Because the book is amazing, and I know you're an amazing singer and songwriter, " he comments.
What I didn't know was who was in the crowd, BTS themselves was surprising Jimmy. And they were all in shock when they found out I was pregnant and now have a kid. They were more surprised by seeing me. This was the first time in four years they had seen me.
I didn't know this until I ran into Jin. " Y/n? " I turn around to come face-to-face with Jin.
" Jin, hey how have you been? It's been so long, " I tell him giving him a hug.
" Good, I've been good, " he comments, I can tell he's in shock in sees me. Which completely makes sense, I feel the same way. I thought I would never see him again in my life. " How have you been? " He asks.
" I've been doing good, been busy recently. But that's life, are you with all of the boys? " I ask, he nods towards me. " Well, tell them I say hi. I need to get going, I'm sure you guys are going to have a blast with Jimmy, " I add, beginning to turn away from him.
He grabbed a hold of my shoulder, which stopped me in my tracks. I turned back around to see Jimin and Namjoon standing there, behind them was Jungkook. " Jin... I really need to go, " I mutter to him, still making eye contact with Joon, I was told by one of my friends that all of them were pretty upset when I disappeared. But Joon, he was more angry towards the situation.
I had spent just as much time with them then they did with each other. I was there when it started in 2010, and I left in 2018, well was forced to leave in 2018. I spent eight years of my life with them, supporting them through anything. Becoming close to all of them. They were like brothers to me, expect for Tae of course. But I was the closest in a brother, sister way with Namjoon and Jungkook. Don't get me wrong I was very close to all of them, just the relationship was different with them. " Jin, it was lovely seeing you. It was, I'm glad I did. You guys song is amazing, " I comment, I turn beginning to walk.
" Why? " That single question stopped me in my tracks. I can't even look at them, they still don't know then truth.
" I had too, or they were going to kill me, " with that I left, I had to get out of there as soon as possible. I felt like I was about to throw up. What I didn't know was the aftermath, he was there. I just couldn't see him, he was listening to the whole conversation. And collapsed breaking down.
The next day I went to the studio, I needed to clear my head. And we were working on finishing up the last things for the musical. It opens April 20th, and we're all pretty excited for it. " Y/n, talk to us... what happened? " Clara asks me.
Instantly I started breaking down, them moving as quickly towards me as possible and hugging me tightly. We had some clients coming in, so I just got up with Clara and we exited the room. " Okay what happened? " She asks.
" I saw Veda's father's best friends, who used to me mine. And I found out that the man who forced me to leave, didn't hold up his side of the agreement, " I comment, she nods towards me.
" I'm gonna get you some water, " she whispers to me, I just stay there holding myself not caring about who enters the room.
Clara comes back and sits next to me, and starts rubbing my back. " I just... I thought I was past this, I thought that if I ever saw them again I would be fine. And here I am crying my eyes out, and this is just with his friends. I couldn't even imagine what would have happened if I saw Tae. Tae is his name by the way, Veda's dad. I just... I wasn't thinking I would see them. And trust me when I say this, I wish I could have told him. But they told me I needed to leave, I had to leave. They threatened me, and I couldn't had stayed. I just wish I had gotten to say goodbye, tell him I loved him. And-I wish I could give him updates. Because she reminds me so much of him, of the chaotic love bug Tae is. She walked in on me last week and said 'mama, I'm gonna be a famous singer!' And then did a ridiculous pose, and just reminded me so much of him. And-and I have people who tell me I should move on, but I can't. I know he's the love of my life, but how-how do move on from the love of your life? You can't- " I tell her, just continuing to cry my eyes out towards her.
" I love you, " I turn my head to see Taehyung sitting next to me, I immediately turn completely around and grab a hold of him and hugging him as tightly as I could. He picked my head up and kissed me, which I kiss him back the second his lips touched mine. " I should have texted you sooner, but I couldn't. And you've been raising our daughter alone, I'm sorry, " he tells me.
" It's not your fault, you didn't know, " I comment, he nods towards me. I climb fully on top of him and hold onto him tightly.
And that's where we stayed for 45 minutes, talking about everything that happened in the past 4 years. Laughing, crying, and everything in between. He was mine again, and I was his.
From that moment everything was explained, and I entered their lives again. Tae met his daughter, and the boys met their niece. It was back to being normal right away, but it was definitely going to be going back to normal. I had finally got my family back.
